The Lagoon on our ranch, Bluff Cove, is home to 3,000 Gentoo Penguins, a growing colony of King Penguins, and an abundance of other spectacular wildlife on a beautiful wilderness beach only reached by our 4x4 vehicles. Home-baking and delicious local flavours are served with live music in the Sea Cabbage Café. The Museum tells the story of Bluff Cove. Our award winning tour is a fabulous combination of Falkland wildlife, heritage and hospitality.

We arrived in the Falkland Islands on a tender from our Norwegian Cruise Line Ship. The weather was refreshingly brisk. I'm glad that I had worn a weatherproof parka and an extra heavy sweatshirt. We had signed up for this shore excursion before leaving home because we wanted to see penguins. We were not disappointed. We saw penguins! Lots of... More

We booked this excursion as part of a Norwegian Cruise Lines cruise from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Valparaiso, Chile. The excursion was well-organized and executed. We were picked up from the tender and got on a small bus as part of a group of 16. The bus driver was an excellent tour guide and provided a wealth of local info... More

The owners of this farm have opened up the Cove to tourists - very controlled - thank heavens - they have plenty of guides on site for information about the Gentoo, Magellan and King Penguins. Was surprised to see the King as I had thought they were usually further south, however they have about 10 that are regulars and these... More

This was one of our most memorable experiences on our recent trip to South America. We were greeted at the pier in Stanley and then transported by friendly minibus and 4x4 drivers to Bluff Cove. Here the show was stolen by the huge colony of Gentoo and King penguins. Besides the superb there is also a small gift shop, museum and... More

From the moment we were picked up the adventure began. Our driver gave us a detailed description of life on the Falklands. The Penguins are hilarious and so fun to observe. Haddie baked a plethora of deserts. This is a well worth excursion. My only regret is that I didn't purchase more gifts from their gift shop. Thank you!

This is an excellent lagoon to see Gentoo's and King Penguins. The beach was pristine and secluded except for the penguins. It was a great experience that we will never forget. The staff was wonderful, friendly and knew the area so well. The Sea Cabbage Cottage had the best tea and cakes we had on the entire trip. Went with... More

Booked via NCL Shore Excursion 21st March 2016. Excellent organisation from start to finish. It was our first penguin encounter so something we will always remember. Saw Gentoo, Kings and a lone Rockhopper penguin. The Diddly Dee jam was delicious and we have brought some home with us. Thank you to Keith, Hattie, Ronnie (our 4x4 driver) and the lady... More

As well as enjoying a well organised visit to see Penguins there was the chance to enjoy a cup of tea and marvellous choice of great cakes & pastries at the Bluff Cove. There were plenty of penguins to watch and photograph including King Penguins, Chin Strap Penguins and Gentors. Bluff Cove also has a small display area which offers... More

What a surprise I got when I signed up for the Penguin tour from our ship when we reached Port Stanley in the Falklands. To get there, you have to go by Land Rover over crazy terrain you are convinced you're not going to make it over, which is half the fun and adventure. When you arrive -- well intact... More
