The Lagoon on our ranch, Bluff Cove, is home to 3,000 Gentoo Penguins, a growing colony of King Penguins, and an abundance of other spectacular wildlife on a beautiful wilderness beach only reached by our 4x4 vehicles. Home-baking and delicious local flavours are served with live music in the Sea Cabbage Café. The Museum tells the story of Bluff Cove. Our award winning tour is a fabulous combination of Falkland wildlife, heritage and hospitality.

We went as part of a Celebrity Infinity tour group on Valentine's Day! I deliberated long and hard over which shore excursion to choose at Port Stanley, and am sure glad I picked this one. First we were transported by minibus to a parking area, and then got on a Land Rover. This part of the trip is sort of... More

Absolutely Fabulous!!! Bring your camera and visit King, Gentoo, and Magellanic penguins up close and personal. It a family farm about a 20 minute bus ride, followed by a 20 minute 4x4 ride from Port Stanley, East Falkland. Naturalists were super informative about the wildlife and the penguin rookeries. The cafe and gift shop were also a welcome surprise.

We've been cruising for a long time and traveling beyond that as well. I only think of one other place I've been that I enjoyed so much. First, a 15 minute bus ride out of town to the 4-wheel-drive vehicles. Really, if you have back/neck issues, this next part is important. Next the 4-wheel drive ride. It's about 20 minutes.... More

Absolutely amazing and we get to check another item off our Bucket List! After exploring Port Stanley we set off for Bluff Cove Lagoon. Our tour company was Bluff Cove Lagoon Tour with our driver Mark, a 6th generation Falklander. Into the Land Rover we go for a 20 minute ride to Bluff Cove Lagoon over peat bogs and rocky... More

Just returned form a Cape Horn cruise, and this was the best locale for viewing penguins. Bluff Cove Lagoon is located some distance from Stanley, so you have to take a van and then a 4x4 to get there. You will definitely get tossed around as you travel. We spent 1 hour on site which sounded brief but actually was... More

We took this excursion from the Crown Princess, and it was the best event of our month-long cruise. We were driven from the dock in a 16-passenger van, then transferred to 4-wheel drive vehicles with 4 passengers in each. An exciting and fun off-road trek brought us to Bluff Cove Farm, where there were Gentoo and King penguins by the... More

I visited Bluff Cove from the HAL Zaandam. A misty day was no problem and added to the drama of the scenery. Marshall gave us lots of info on the way to the 4x4 connection and Christine took over from there. That ride was the adventure to say the least! She was terrific and short-cutted some of the spots that... More

This Dec. 26th visit to the Bluff Cove Lagoon Penguin excursion from our cruise ship was one of the major highlights of the trip. Even though the weather was cloudy and cold we enjoyed every minute of our adventure. My husband especially enjoyed the 4-wheel drive trek over open grasslands and streams to the reserve and its raw beauty and... More

The trip from Port Stanley to Bluff Cove by 4x4 is already exciting and once arrived at the penguin rookery you want to stay for many more days. The Gentoo penguins just had their chicks and the friendly wardens made sure we wouldn't come too close, but the chicks and parents were even more curious than we were resulting in... More
