The Lagoon on our ranch, Bluff Cove, is home to 3,000 Gentoo Penguins, a growing colony of King Penguins, and an abundance of other spectacular wildlife on a beautiful wilderness beach only reached by our 4x4 vehicles. Home-baking and delicious local flavours are served with live music in the Sea Cabbage Café. The Museum tells the story of Bluff Cove. Our award winning tour is a fabulous combination of Falkland wildlife, heritage and hospitality.

We visited Bluff Cove as part of an excursion from the Oceania Cruise Ship Marina. We had an interesting 4x4 ride to see the penguins. December is summer on the Falklands and we were treated to very cold weather and a hail storm or two. After seeing the penguins and taking lots of photos we went to the gift shop/tea... More

The four wheel drive trip out to the cove was fantastic. Then the Gentoo, and Emperor penguins. They just stand around for people to take pictures. We could not get too close, because they were nesting. Nice to see the little ones. The snack shack had great cookies and cakes. Little gift shop. Worth it

We were in Stanley for 1 day on the Hurtigruten's FRAM. Falklands was the first stop for us on the way to South Georgia and Antarctica so we knew we would have plenty of opportunities to see penguins. The folks here give you a really good experience. We booked this excursion through the ship and paid about USD 110 per... More

We arrived and were greeted by a friendly bus driver who shared his knowledge enroute to rendezvous with our jeeps. We had a few minutes to wait whilst the jeeps unloaded and we boarded the bumpy ride to Bluff Cove, but not too bumpy. The penguins are use to visitors with one fellow waddling up to us for a photo... More

Managed to land by tender from our cruise ship on what was a sunny but cold day. Had already decided to do this tour.Picked up by coach and taken to join one of several 4x4 vehicles to transport us over very rough ground to Bluff Cove. There I was able to walk amongst over 1000 breeding pairs of Gentoo penguins... More

You have to book a tour to Bluff Cove Lagoon with its pristine white beaches and thousands of Penguins, including Gentoo, Magellanic & King. Fantastic locals take you on a very informative drive out to meet your 4 X 4's, again driven by locals, who give you a wonderful insight to the island. The sight of the Penguins is amazing,... More

We recently visited the Falkland Islands during a cruise of South America and stopped for a day here specifically to take a tour to see the Penguins! This excursion is not only unique and fascinating, it is truly incredible to visit the natural habitat of these incredible creatures! So cute and amusing to watch. We witnessed several types of Penguins,... More

We visited Bluff Cove in early November and thought it was a top-notch and very memorable trip. We saw scores of gentoo penguins and about a dozen king penguins, including five very fluffy chicks! The setting was gorgeous, along a beautiful, private stretch of beach and with mountains and lots of sheep grazing in the other direction. What made the... More

A most enjoyable visit. We were met at the pier by Hattie who drove us by land rover to the lagoon to see the 3000 Gentoo penguins and resident breeding King penguins. All the way Hattie kept us informed of interesting and amusing facts about the farm, colony of penguins and the life style on the Falklands. we met Kevin her... More

We arrived in the Falkland Islands on a tender from our Norwegian Cruise Line Ship. The weather was refreshingly brisk. I'm glad that I had worn a weatherproof parka and an extra heavy sweatshirt. We had signed up for this shore excursion before leaving home because we wanted to see penguins. We were not disappointed. We saw penguins! Lots of... More
