- SeaMariner22Seattle, Washington251 contributionsAnother attraction at the Gardens by the BayThe Super Trees are artificial towers built to look like trees. An observation platform on one of the trees is an ideal picture taking spot particularly with the Sands in the background. The Supertree ramps (a separate attraction) is not really worth paying for - views are limited and the ramps are pretty narrow. The Supertrees light up with a musical show nightly.Visited December 2022Written December 17, 2022
- R OmanaLakeside, California57 contributionsRelaxing break from long haul tripAfter a gruelling 17+ hour trip from Los Angeles, my eyes need a break from IFE. Super tree grove in Singapore is a literal welcome sight for sore eyes. Wonderful natural gardens and man made trees were my much needed relaxation time afforded by my 8-hour layover. Getting my Singapore Arrival Card completed before departure from USA came in handy for a breezy immigration check out and back in the Changi airport. Opted for a 15-minute taxi transport to and from the airport that cost me 20+ SGD.Visited December 2022Traveled soloWritten December 18, 2022
- Mrs FEast Riding of Yorkshire, United Kingdom1,506 contributionsYou have to see this when in Singapore!A must do attraction when visiting Singapore, these stunning trees look beautiful and the light show is definitely staying out for. We spent most of the day in the area with so much to see and do the cloud forest and flower domes, super tree grove platforms and Marina bay hotel and the sky decks are all pretty amazing. The light show last about 8 to 10 minutes, be early if you want a seat around the area as it gets pretty crowded but you can always find your own special place to stand . This is a free attraction but you do have to pay for all the other activities around the area. If you get chance go up to the sky deck at Marina Bay sands hotel as the views you get from the top of the Gardens and it’s surrounding areas are amazing and something you won’t forget for a very long time! To get to the hotel it’s about a 10 minute walk from the Supertree Grove.Visited November 2022Written December 24, 2022
- NJA_7London, United Kingdom984 contributionsSuch an amazing placeThis is part of the Gardens by the bay complex and very much worth a visit. The supertrees range in height from 25 meters up to 50 meters and are simply amazing pieces of architecture. They are situated in beautiful relaxing surround. During the day you can really appreciate gardens and at night the trees come alive to a light and sound show. We walked along the suspension bridge taking in the views across the park.Visited September 2022Written December 25, 2022
- Lee GrintNewcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom450 contributionsA must see during any visit to Singapore, spectacular placeVery cool and unique design. Beautiful place to visit at night, either solo, with a date, family. There are currently special Christmas events on. I highly recommend coming for a visit here. The majority of the area is free to access, the special Christmas event has a small fee which you can scan a QR code upon entry.Visited January 2023Traveled soloWritten January 3, 2023
- jredwoodSan Diego, California555 contributionsBest free park everAmazing park and garden, totally ree with nightly themed music for everyone to enjoy. You can also buy tickets to walk between a couple of these trees - highly recommend it. Views are spectacular.Visited September 2022Written January 21, 2023
- KityaymaSydney, Australia191 contributionsSuper trees by day and nightI was sceptical at first about what are essentially fake trees, but these structures are fabulous, especially when lit up for 'Garden Rhapsody', an engaging light and sound show that takes place each evening just after dark. There are 18 'trees' in total, ranging in height from 25 to 50 metres. They serve as vertical gardens and are partially covered in an array of tropical plants including beautiful orchids and bromeliads. The trees are also used to collect water and help with air filtration. It's great to see the trees closeup but even better to view a group of them en masse from a distance, especially for the light show. We took a picnic to the other side of the lake to better enjoy Garden Rhapsody without the crowds.Visited January 2023Written January 30, 2023
- Allison B17 contributionsJust stupendous!Just amazing! We arrived an hour before sunset, and we're stunned at the Grove! What a marvel! Purchased online, while we're there a ticket to go on the sky walk, waited 20 minutes in the q, and our timing fantastic! Sun went down and we witnessed the light show while on the bridge... Spectacular!!Visited January 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten February 1, 2023
- AdrienneLubbeJohannesburg, South Africa73 contributionsSee by day and by nightTry to see the super tree grove during the day and at night. They look totally different and give you different photographic opportunities. Go on the overhead walkway and up the largest tree to the observation deck. You can have a drink at the bar up there. The light show in the evening had excellent sound and delightful music, but it was over way too quickly - about 10 minutes.Visited February 2023Written February 12, 2023
- Louise FWhitstable, United Kingdom13 contributionsIts Free to look at it and the light showYou can enter the area around the base of the tress for free. I suggest you arrive there around 7pm and pick a good spot to see as many as you can from one angle and wait for the light show at 7.45 and 8.45. Its AMAZING so worth seeing the trees light up in sequence to music (we saw one called the waltz). This place gets very busy at the weekends and people pick there spots early and wait. We sat at the base of one tree near the Sky walk entrance and could see at least 5 of the trees. You can go up the trees to the top - but we opted not to do this but the sky walk path instead which links between the trees near the top. This was cheap and you got amazing views of Bay Sands and the all the trees and the flyer.Visited February 2023Written February 27, 2023

We were on a tour in Singapore that included admission into the Gardens by the Bay but we decided to purchase an additional ticket to visit the Supertree Grove Skyway as most company tours do not include this portion. We are glad that we did as it was not included--even though it was a timed 15 minute visit at the top of the Skyway, it was worth the visit as the views from the top offered a different perspective of the Supertree Groves that are located around the Skyway. It was hard to imagine all the lights lit up for the evening show from up here. Time your visit to the earlier part of the day, especially if you are visiting in the summer as the sun is behind the Marina Bay Sands Hotel and it will be difficult to get a nice decent photo of it. The 15 minutes is enough to walk through and get adequate amount of photo memories. Well worth an additional ticket to visit the Supertree Grove Skyway.

Iconic stop in Singapore! These trees are magnificent! You must do the walkway between the trees, very cool experience. After you should go to the observation deck. It’s worth the elevator ride up to the top as it is one of the best elevator rides ever. At the top you learn about what these trees really do! Again gets crowded and hot so go early to enjoy the views in peace.

My favourite place in Singapore. You can visit the outside gardens and the big trees for free. They do a lights show 3 times a night as well. To go up the super tree you can get a deal for £12 per person for the flower dome and the super tree. A good deal I’m an expensive place. Good views.

Don’t have to pay both bucks to see this impressive and free light and sound show using the super tree grove as the canvas. Walk from Bayfront MRT towards the Super tree grove. 1945 hrs start for the one we saw.

The night light show at Supertree Grove was the must. There were two shows per day: 7.45pm and 8.45pm. Better to lie down to enjoy the show. We were a bit lost because no signs to show where we should go to get to Garden by the Bay MRT.

Marine Bay Gardens is a must visit whilst in Singapore. The Tree garden is spectacular and especially at night when they have a light show. Hawkers Food Market is available for you to have dinner whilst you wait for the light show. Aerial walkway gives spectacular views of the Tree grove and Gardens.

The Supertrees have a walkway at the top, and one of them has a pub at the top with a view. If you purchase tickets in person on the day of the event, there are additional fees for the view as well as lines to navigate. However, in our opinion, the wait and the cost were worthwhile.

Huge tree or SuperTree Grove. Waiting for dark to see the colorful trees. This is a daily show at 7:00 pm and other time I think 8:00 pm. If you buy a ticket, you can walk on the top and have a great view from the top.

If you don't climb the SuperTree you are free to walk around and watch the light show at nightfall. You will have to buy tickets to Floral Fantasy, Flower Dome, and Cloud Forest. I think it is S$46 bundle ticket for each person with those 3 attractions and a shuttle ride that takes you from one dome to the other.

Hi, I am planning a visit with two kids. How much time should I reserve for Supertree Grove?
What time of the day is best to visit?

plan to spend an hour or two. There are places to take an ice cream break, and benches for resting if you want to walk around longer than that. The high walkway is lovely, but hang on to the kids if they are young! Have fun - it's beautiful there.

We went to see the spectacular light show just before dusk. When it began it was dark and there was fantastic music in rhythm with the changing colours of the lights. Once it ended the coloured lights of the Flowers by the Bay remained on. Later that night when we got back to our room at Hotel Marina Sands, the curtains opened automatically to a wonderful surprise the coloured lights of the Flowers by the Bay...….but I don't know how long these stay alight!

Is it best to buy a ticket before we fly or on the day we want to go while we are there? Which would be cheaper?

Just as easy to purchase tickets on the day as it is to pre-book.
If you have any elderly or injured with you be sure to hire a wheel chair for the day, extremely cheap and my mother benefited greatly as we were able to walk/wheel around and see more so it was a much better experience as there's LOTS to see at the gardens :)

is it best to see the super trees by night? if you buy a day ticket, can you leave and return later?
Carolyn N

I visited during the day and the view from atop the trees is amazing. However I don't believe that this is necessarily the best. The other "domed gardens" have beautiful views also. At ground level you get a better view of the trees overall and there is no additional charge for that. My advice, spend as much time as you can viewing the complete "gardens" during the day and stay on for the illumination of the trees.
You can go back into all of the areas by simply getting a "stamp" on the back of your hand at the relevant exits. You can enjoy hours within the entire areas without paying extra for only 30 minutes at the top

what do you get different by buying a ticket compared to free entry?

The nightly Garden Rhapsody show is free but if you want to see it from the OCBC Skyway there is a small admission charge. Much much better view from up there. Have a look at their website for further info. Enjoy your trip and safe travels.
