I was picking up an item at the location next door that I left during lunch and thought to try a new place.
Happy hour is a very modest pour for wine and they want to charge for ice water! I left after a “hard sell” that I can get ice water for free if I order a bottle of wine. Ridiculous! Bad prices, had sell and pay for two water. I have been in Singapore 8 years and never heard of any establishment charging for tap water.
Go next door to Morganfield’s and let an amazing staff serve you at lower prices, bigger pour for wine and no charge for water during happy hour.

We loved the truffle pizza that was crisp and strong in truffle taste. The burger was decent portion and filling as well. Nonetheless, truffle fries was quite bland and additional charge is needed for more truffle added.

Went back again and the services still good and friendly. Had wine (1855 if you are reading this, please have more wine by glass selections) and pizza during the Happy Hour. A busy bar even on a weeknight. Went on a Thursday. Reasonable prices.

I use to come to 1855 for happy hour @$6 per red wine but I had been busy with other new chill out place. The red wine now cost $8 ++ n you need to pay $2 for ice water in carafe! Not worth to drop by for a chill out now as the red wine pour so little as in photo n Singapore tap water don't cost $2 ya..

I am very generous in giving praises and usually very understanding of shortcomings. But this place, never again :(
The people who were serving us were friendly but noticeably speeding coz the place was busy. Just about few mins after we stepped out, a friend needed a glass of water. We want to the bar but sad to say the cashier told us we had to pay for the glass of tap water. What made things really ugly was the manner this cashier guy responded to us. While the rest of the crew had an awkward face and seemingly as puzzled as we are.

We finished a movie at 9 pm. And this place was opened till 11 pm on a saturday. It was quiet compared to weekdays which had the working crowd . Ordered the duck confit and mushroom with onsen egg. Wines were good deal at sgd8 all day. Total bill - sgd69 for two . Staff members were friendly

I'm bemused by the bad reviews on here. I have suffered much worse. I went here for a pre-cinema drink and the drinks were fast and cheap, service was quick and friendly and ambience and location spot on.
What's everyone complaining about? One of the better bars in Singapore and at these prices I'll be back!

The first restaurant I have ever been in where they want to charge paying customers who have already ordered expensive drinks $2 for iced water. In many countries this would be illegal but at very least it is immoral.

We visited this bar as it was one of the bars that did happy hours.
We also ordered food: the chicken satay was lovely but the chicken milenaise was far from appetising. There was 3 members of staff stood trying to get people in but no staff members servings those of us inside. We had to constantly call for service. Only when it came to paying our bill did they become attentive. We will not be returning.
