We registered for a combination class that started with a tour of the 150 year old spice garden (a colonial remnant) guided by the chef. Then we moved into the demo kitchen for a New Asia cuisine class. Two dishes were demos (Pomelo Salad and Crispy Asparagus with XO Sauce), and three were hands-on (Crisp Cheese Tikki Patties, Herb-Roasted Chicken with Basil Mash Potatoes, and Spiced Chocolate Spring Rolls). The chef was great, and they keep the classes small enough that there is room to work and time to get the instructor's help and attention. We ended the class with a meal of what we made, and it was delicious! Since this is part of a professional culinary school, the facilities and staff were top-notch. Highly recommended for a unique travel experience!

I attended this class by myself, and it was a fantastic experience. I received an interesting and educational tour of the Spice Garden by Thai Chef A. He was both charming and informative, explaining the uses of the herbs and spices in foods as well as their healing properties. After the tour we tasted freshly made iced tea and sampled homemade appetizers.
We watched the chef prepare 2 dishes, after which we prepared 4 of our own, an appetizer, 2 main courses, and a dessert. I chose to enroll in the Singaporean cooking class, although they also offer Thai, Malay, and Chinese cooking courses. 5 other people attended the course which was a perfect size, as we all got the personal attention from the chef.
We dined outdoors on the patio, savouring the amazing dishes we had prepared ourselves. The school provides the recipes for you to take home, all of which I intend to make at home! It was a wonderful experience, which I would highly recommend to any expat, local OR tourist.

I didn't have time to attend a culinary session, but thoroughly enjoyed a 2-hour guided tour of this interesting attraction. From all accounts I must make time to learn how to make one of my favourite local dishes - laksa!

The walk in the culinary garden was a highlight, we took a class on making Laksa from scratch. It was informative/educational & most of all fun! Highly recommend for anyone interested in well executed Singaporean cuisine.
