Address
Neighborhood: Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighborhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.

I went to the butter factory on a Friday night, my expectations were not very high but I must say that it was pretty fun.
There were 2 different rooms, ground floor with commercial music and top floor with electro/house remixes.
The cover fee was 30 sgd with 2 complimentary drimks, pretty fair for Singapore on a Saturday night!

Probably in the top 5 clubs we have been to worldwide. Awesome atmosphere, great DJ's and friendly service. Grab yourself a booth and a bottle and dance the night away!

1st - miscommunication between 1st flr staff and serving staff. supposed to be 10 free entry if you bought 2 bottles but serving staff said no such thing.

2nd - we went there early to get a table but minimum spending is $400. what the hell? there's no one there and we cant even choose a table to sit? if No bottle, please stand at the corner. 1 bottle, you will have a small round table (which you can put only 3 jugs). 2 bottles, you will have a rectangle table with 4 seats for $400!!!!
Trying too hard to be an upmarket club.

3rd - crowd? most of them army dudes, undergrads which i wonder how much they squeeze their money from their parents.

this place is small so that's why it is always a long queue, creating an impression that this place is THE place to be. Once you see it for yourself, you regret paying for the cover charge. the management is definitely money-oriented. Don't bother going. my first and my last visit.

Am a VIP at Butter Factory since its pioneer days and its has never failed to live up to my expectations.

There are two rooms in Butter Factory which are radically different.

Bump:
Beautiful scenery, facing the Marina Bay Sands and of course great music (: Relatively younger crowd compared to Filter, Mink and Zouk, so don't be surprised with the overwhelming ratio of the young to the oh well, relatively mature ones (like myself).

Music Genre: R&B

Fash:
Independent and alternative music for the artsy fartsy. Do drop by to have a flavor of the local DJs. Bump can get extremely crowded, so if you do fancy a good drinking session over dancing, Fash will be a better choice.

Anyhow, Butter Factory, the place to be seen (:

The crowd starts to come in around 11pm. By then if you are at the inner end, it is a challange to push through the crowd to go to the toliet located outside. They have lockers and smoking room loocated outside. Young and quite rowdy crowd with dancing on seats and on stage. But not a bad place.

If you like r&b, and if you like mingling with the younger crowd, The Butter Factory is 1 of the clubs you should visit. It gets quite packed so you might have to queue. Personally not 1 of the clubs I enjoy much in Singapore, but it's just because it's not my cup of tea. They have still done pretty well and garnered quite a following.

Have visited butter factory several times and it will always be having a long queue outside. Inside the club there are 2 different room themes, I liked the room with the window facing marina bay sand. It was great as during Christmas or other special days you can actually see the firework from there. Overall the music and atmosphere is great, highly recommended if you are going for dancing.
