Interesting small museum you can pop in between others and free to boot. I was interested to see the first (wooden) ladders used were made in Manchester.

Museum is well maintained and equipped with fire trucks and uniforms of different eras. It managed to create a journey of civil defence in Singapore.

This is a small and compact gallery, and the exhibits showcase some of the events in the past as well as the older "retired" fire engines and fire-fighting vehicles. You can see that a lot of thought has been put into this place and the exhibits well maintained, and the vehicles are regularly polished and waxed, every Monday I believe.... More

This was a really neat little stop, its free which is great, but it also has a great amount of history. It was interesting reading about Singapore during WWII and such, then upstairs it brings you to todays world and tells you about the fire service. To bad there is no shop. If you plan your visit right Saturdays the... More

We stumbled on this free museum as we were walking to Fort Canning Park, so stopped in and were very surprised by the extent of the exhibits. Very helpful attendants and exhibits were quite good on fire tragedies, WWII experiences, equipment, etc. There was a group of young school age children; I wished something like this had been available to... I find it really cool that they show respect and gratitude to the hard working people. Fire Fighters / Civil Defense workers are commonly underappreciated. To have a gallery/museum for these people is awesome. It was unique to see the progress in development of their equipment through out history. It takes 30 minutes of your time to go through the... This is a great place to visit for both adults and children, the retired fire chief on hand to discuss things and answer questions is very Knowledgeable, very nice man that has served his city well, ask him about the dogs and the role they play in major rescues, the central fire station is a beautiful building full of history

This attraction is located across from the Funan Mall and next to the entrance to Fort Canning Park. We came across this attraction by chance. We had some time to kill and didn't want to hang about outside too long because of the haze. This attraction is free. My husband and I really enjoyed it. It's very informative with hands... More

My parter's son is a Firefighter in the UK, so we planned to visit the museum contained in the historic and architecturally beautiful Fire Station Building. Entry was free, and the exhibits are few, but beautifully presented. It is run by volunteers and the guys we spoke with are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and a delight to spend some time with. Please... More
