I only went to the main museum, I did not go for the bus tour, or visit the army museum. Based on that experience alone, I would say, don't bother going. Most exhibits aren't even working properly.

A interactive exhibition of Singapore history and understanding how singapore evolve over time including the first batch of Singaporeans enlisted into the army and the first riots in Singapore. A definitely must go if you want to have a quick brief on Singapore history!
Extremely dated. Its a "museum" of Singaporean propaganda stuck in the 90s. It's free if you are a local , so if you want to just have a look it's ok , but deff not something I would pay to see.

Lots of good stuff here, which is my only reason to visit Joo Koon. Service here is great, as the staff are all smiles and helpful.
