About
Step into the Flower Dome and you'll be standing in awe of nature. Spectacular and innovative in design, it is one of the icons of Bay South Garden. The Flower Dome replicates the cool-dry climate of Mediterranean regions like South Africa, California and parts of Spain and Italy. Home to a collection of plants from deserts all over the world, it showcases the adaptations of plants to arid environments. Stop and smell the flowers in the colourful changing displays of the Flower Field, which reflects different seasons, festivals and themes.

Air conditioned glass dome containing a multitude of flowers and trees from around the world. Great for everyone. Highlight was the papier-mâché displays that are lit up in the evening for the Lunar New Year period

    Just stunning
We came here 1st before doing the cloud forest upon the recommendation of a local. The flower displays are just stunning, and as our visit coincided with Chinese New Year, they had dragons and other very colourful displays. Words can not describe how gorgeous this attraction is. We just purchased the combined ticket for cloud forest and flower dome whilst there. It was during the week so even though it was busy, the weekend would be much worse.

    Dragon Flower Dome delight
My second visit to the Flower Dome (as part of the Singapore Go Pass) and it didn't disappoint. So lovely to walk around the dome and enjoy the many displays of flowers and plants, and being Chinese New Year, the dragon display. I arrived mid morning, so there wasn't a queue to get in nor too many people inside. Highly recommend.

    Beautiful and comfortable!
The place is spacious and certainly beautiful, there is a restaurant and toilets that are clean and comfortable. There are also places for the disabled. The decorations are adjusted to major holidays such as Chinese New Year, New Year and so on.

This is a paradise for those who love flowers and plants
The Flower Dome is one of the two greenhouse planting parks in Marina Bay Park in Singapore. The Flower Dome is mainly composed of tropical flowers, with many succulent plants, and various plants are also on display in rotation. We came to visit on February 8, 2024. Because the Chinese Lunar New Year is approaching, there are dragons and Chinese characters to decorate the scenery. This is a paradise for those who like flowers and plants, tickets are required.

Awesome place, lots to see and learn
We spent an hour in this dome walking it all and really enjoyed it. Large variety of plants, flowers, trees and shrubs.. loved how it had everything from cactus to tropical and so many unique species.. Right beside Cloud Forest dome , easy to do both together. We bought tickets online and saved having to wait in ticket lines..

Most magnificent flower exhibit in the world and it is temperature controlled for comfort
We got quite warm when visiting the Gardens By the Bay after walking for a while outdoors, having air conditioning in a green house was a pleasant surprise. The line to purchase tickets was not long, got the combo tickets for access to the Cloud Forest as well. Words cannot describe the sheer beauty of the flowers we saw here. During our visit it was the Dahlia Dreams exhibit celebrating Chinese New Year and the dragon gate. Simply put, stunning! We especially enjoyed the South Africa garden and the main flower field area. Even saw Pooh bear and piglet, Alice in Wonderland. So many little things that one visit is not enough time to enjoy them all. The glass enclosure also afforded some nice view to the bay and city skyline. This is so well put together. Amazing place to visit.
Hello! Thank you for the valuable review. We are glad you had a great time at the Gardens. Looking forward to having you back at the Gardens soon! Cheers, Amalina

Super place if you like gardens!
We bought a combined ticket with the cloud forest and that was a good option. I’d recommend doing the flower dome first as it takes less time to walk around and the cloud forest is even better. There’s gardens representing various countries plus a main floral exhibition. When we attended it was for cherry blossom trees (Japan) which was especially beautiful. It’s cooler in here than outside which is a welcome relief in Singapore (where it was 33 degrees during our visit). Allow 45 mins to an hour depending on how much you read about the plants!

    Surprising flora under huge dome
It's amazing how many (flowering) plants, shrubs and trees from all parts of the world have been brought together under a huge dome. A true experience for me as a lover of botanical gardens. Now the theme was Chinese dahlias. After March 22, 2024, will be replaced by the Japanese sakura. I had the opportunity to admire the sakura earlier in March 2019.

    Flower Dome then Cloud Forest
We went back to the Flower Dome in Gardens by the Bay, it is one of our favourite places to visit in Singapore. It is quite different to the Cloud Forest and if you are going to see them both I would advise seeing the Flower Dome first as many people including me think the Cloud Forest is the more….well…. jaw dropping and you don’t want to be slightly underwhelmed which you might be. The Flower Dome is also amazing of course, full of themed areas displaying a huge variety of flowers and plants from geographical locations as well as amazing artworks. When we were there the staff were just setting up the cherry blossom display which is always impressive, we were visiting in March so the trees were not in bloom but we have been in April and it’s wonderful and perfect for photos! If you go in the afternoon you can spend a leisurely hour or two then visit the Cloud Forest and be in time for the Sky Tree show in the evening.

We went there for the Impressions of Monet: The Experience which was held at the Flower Dome, included in the price of the ticket for the Flower Dome.
It was a surrealistic experience to be surrounded by Impressionist art pieces, accompanied by thought-provoking quotes, lit with colour-changing lights that accentuated the visuals. The Night at the Lily Pond exhibit was so calming, I did not feel like leaving it. The souvenirs for the exhibition were beautiful too, and reasonably priced.
You should go at the opening time, ideally on a weekday, to avoid the crowds. Allow at least 2 hours for the art exhibit so that you can take the time to savour the experience, and another hour or more for the flower exhibits.

Flower Dome is located directly opposite Cloud Forest and the entrance ticket is coupled with the latter for $53 per person. If you can, start with Flower Dome as it is a little less impressive than Cloud Forest.

The structure still remains immense, all glass, bright. The dome is dedicated to plants from around the world but rather in dry climates such as Mediterranean, Australian, African, etc. Different kinds of baobabs, palm trees, conifers, olive trees, cacti of all kinds line the route.

A magnificent exhibition on orchids staged in the very heart of the dome in a sort of small Asian village. Floral exhibitions and competitions can take place in this location at very specific times and dates. Find out in advance.

Less spectacular, the Flower Dome remains no less interesting. It is essential. The place is air-conditioned, which is not necessarily unpleasant when you know how hot it is outside. The staff is friendly, smiling and welcoming. Allow 1h30 to visit.

The Flower Dome is one of the two cooled conservatories at Gardens by the Bay, built as part of the Gardens' sustainability ventures. This is quite fitting, considering Singapore is affectionately referred to as the Garden City. The conservatory's temperature ranges between 23 - 25°C and features a plants from Mediterranean, Australian, and South American & African climates across the world.
Take a look at when, where, and why you should visit the world's largest glass greenhouse at the Flower Dome.

Why should you visit Flower Dome Dome ??

1) Guinness World Record Holder:
The world's largest glass greenhouse title was not self-appointed by the Flower Dome. No, it's been officially recognized in 2015 and exists in the Guinness World Record.

2) Ever Blooming Flora: The climate controlled atmosphere inside the Flower Dome makes for a great space for flowers to be in bloom constantly. There's always some type of flora that is thriving within the glass dome.

3) Fantastic Architecture: Made up of 3,332 glass panels, the Flower Dome covers an area of 1.28 hectares; putting that into perspective: that's all the water you can fill into 75 Olympic swimming pools, all filled into the Flower Dome!

4) Flower Themed Displays: There's always a themed flower exhibition taking place in the conservatory, with new themes every other month. The Chrysanthemum Charm display is on till 13 November, 2023, in case you were interested

It is a large indoor botanical garden on the north side of Gardens by the Bay.

It comes with tickets to the Cloud Forest right next door and was purchased in advance from the official website.

I love to see plants in close-to-nature conditions, like the English Garden, so it bothered me that they were too well maintained.

TungLok Seafood, a Singaporean Chinese food near the exit of the botanical garden, was very delicious and I was impressed by it.

I purchased a ticket for both Cloud Forest in Gardens by the Bay and the Bay.

To be honest, I didn't do any research and didn't have high expectations, but once inside, I saw rare plants from all over the world!

The baobab trees were overwhelming, but personally, I loved seeing so many succulents.

I would recommend this over Cloud Forest.

The temperature inside the building is around 25°C, so it may feel a bit chilly.

We visited five years ago, but not in December. Well what a transformation, it appeared that Christmas has taken over the flower dome! Decorated Christmas trees everywhere with presents and displays, including model trains- all good fun especially for the youngsters, but it did seem to dominate the plants in some areas. But no matter, still nice. Worth mentioning the Monet exhibition which was absolutely wonderful, with a spectacular screen show of impressionist painting - we have seen similar exhibitions in London (van Gough etc) and this is one not to miss.

This place is just fabulous, everywhere you look it just gets better and better. The plants and trees are amazing. Everything is just perfect very good price to get in we spent a good couple of hours here just slowly walking around and making sure we saw everything. Very easy to catch a cab here and the line to get ticket at counter was very quick and efficient.

We visited Gardens by the Bay during our trip to Singapore, and without a doubt, the Flower Dome was one of the attractions we had to see.

The Flower Dome, located within Gardens by the Bay, houses a variety of tree and flower species, meticulously arranged and planted in a uniquely designed dome. Each plant is carefully separated and categorized by its region of origin, with each section decorated with really cool sculptures.

The Flower Dome impressed us with the meticulous detail, boasting a truly beautiful design. As we walked through each area, it felt as though we were being greeted by the trees and flowers themselves.

Our time spent in the dome was of the highest quality, thoroughly enjoyed by all. Furthermore, the dome offers a pleasantly cool temperature, providing a welcome escape from the heat of Singapore.

This is one of two indoor conservatories at Gardens by the Bay - the other being the Cloud Forest which is better. This is still good and worth spending an hour to stroll through. It seems that the exhibits change from time to time, when we went the central area was dominated by a tulip exhibit. It was exceptionally crowded when we went which also impacted the enjoyment.

The Flower Dome is one of the paid attractions at Gardens by the Bay. It is a huge greenhouse, perhaps the largest in the world, full of flowers. Since it is a single large, very ventilated room with air conditioning, it is impossible to plant many different types of flowers there. The flower that dominates here is the rose in all its variations. Then there are small gardens dedicated to certain geographical areas where trees prevail.
