We had an unforgettable yummy tour led by Karni the passionate owner of Wok 'n' Stroll and her team. I took VIP friends with my family to a unique experience that combined some of the best special signature food items in Singapore with meaningful stories. We heard the history of both the food, the places, the cultures, the traditions. It was a celebration for all the senses. Karni is a also a chef and culinary expert and knowledgeable about the surrounding. She understood our food restrictions, preferences and allergies and tailored made a special tour to fit our group.
If you are visiting Singapore, or have guests visiting and you want them to have an unforgettable experience, don't skip Karni's tours. oh - after more than 20 years in Singapore, it was the first time that I managed to eat Durian. Thank you Karni! We will come again!

Karni is a wonderful and gracious tour guide and also very passionate about food (a woman after my own heart to be sure!). We had a very small group (3 people plus Karni) so it was very relaxed and easy going. As it turns out the whole group knew Singapore a bit -- the other couple actually live here for work, and I of course have been here quite often That allowed us to really concentrate on the food aspect -- trying many many different food stalls in the upstairs food hall area of the Chinatown complex. I never knew it was there! Let alone how good some of the food is -- in fact, I would say the best Chicken Rice I've had in Singapore was there .. and very good carrot cake, century egg congee with pork!

We then went downstairs to the food markets -- again, who know!?! Dozens of seafood vendors, fruit vendors, veg vendors, cakes, beancurd things! Wow! Heaven. We tried some jackfriut, longans, etc. All great!

We finally walked (after being very full) to a wonderful tea house where the tea expert showed us the proper way of making chinese tea. Very involved -- but also relaxing in a way, and very tasty! I don't think I've ever had tea quite as flavorful or aromatic. It's a labor of love (to a certain point) but very worth while!

All in all the trip / tour was amazing and I certainly plan to look up Karni again next time I'm in town!

My wife and I went to this amazing afternoon/evening tour, We choose to do it in in "China Town" part of Singapore, and couldn't be more amazed by how good and colorful the food in the small and almost unknown stores in that part of the city is. Karni explained everything, from the history of Singapore and the architectural design of its streets to how the food is made and its ingredients. We encountered food and fruits that we never knew existing, and Karni smartly adjusted the tour and the food to our taste (not spicy please :) )
We highly recommend this tour to everyone who is going to stay in Singapore for more then couple of nights.

A brilliant evening spent learning the history of Singapore both in facts and food. Our guide, Johnson, was amazingly knowledgeable, very personable and determined to make our evening memorable. He succeeded! We toured the Katong area, learned about the Peranakan people, savouring every dish en route, particularly the laksa - absolutely superb. If we'd had more time we would have booked another tour without doubt. Definitely a must do.

Getting a real authentic view of Singapore culture and food - we spent the day going from stall to stall, meeting the locals and eating local food, getting a historical perspective and eating the best street food in town - this is a must!
if you want to experience Singapore food - this is the way to do it

My family and I joined woknstroll food tour for an excellent experience in Singapore.
the local guide Catherine together with Karni Tomer food explorer led us through geylang street at nights.
we ate local food as BBQ sting ray, beef noodles and plenty of Dim sum.set in the streets with the locals and heard from them all about Singapore food.
we live in Singapore for 2 years and never had a clue about this place and the local food .
our guests enjoyed every moment and took the courage to try durian but i preferred the other fruits(:
Highly recommended experience

We had the best time on the Tiong Bahru Hawker Center tour! Karni was an incredible and knowledgeable guide who led us through Tiong Bahru and taught us about countless local dishes - would highly recommend for any foodie who wants to try a variety of Singaporean foods!

What a thoroughly enjoyable tour with Kim - she is a font of knowledge and really interesting and engaging. We sampled many local foods including Durian (not as bad as people make out) and found out so much about the local area where the Chinatown Hawker Centre was located. You have to be prepared to feel challenged with some food offerings but that is part of the experience - it is absolutely fine to say you don't like a particular dish.

Wear something cool and take an extra bottle of water as it can get quite hot and sticky - as Singapore does. Enjoy

My Friend and I attended this tour on Saturday 27th July and really enjoyed it. Our Hosts were fantastic, very knowledgeable about food/Singapore and were good fun to hang out with.

It was actually my Birthday and they brought a local cake to celebrate which was very nice of them. The Food we got to try was very good and we wouldn't have been able to find these places on our own. I'd 100% recommend this tour!
