Staff are unhelpful or downright rude. The ice is in terrible condition and shoes are in very poor condition and unhygienic especially during covid.

Go to Kallang instead for much better service and quality.

Singapore does not have many places to skate on ice. This is one of them. I was given the opportunity to try out here recently. After entry, you go to a counter to exchange your shoes for a pair of skates and change into them before going into the rink. It was quite a enjoyable experience thought the rink was divided about a third seems to be use for private lesson and the rest for skating. So, most people were just skating around but there are some trying or practicing some figure skating moves going in all directions and more people came in later and it became more difficult to maneuver around. Good thing yes they have this kind of "skating walker" for beginner who need some assistance. They have a toilet near the shoes/skates counter so it's good to go before you start to maximise your time on the rink. It not too cool and I was in my T-shirt and started sweating after skating a bit any way. I should have brought a pair of gloves. I think it will be easier to push yourself up after falling with gloves. I fell 3 times and got but hand to push my hands on the ice which gets quite slippery.

Came here for lessons
The ice is good if you start skating immediately when they finish resurfacing it
Constant dripping of water from the ceiling, not pleasant
Ice is generally ok, but always crowded unless you come during off peak

It costs $18 for you to skate around for two hours, praying you won't fall. The ice is in horrible condition, it is bumpy and really hard to skate on unless you are a professional. Would not recommend this place at all, there are also several leaks and it is very wet and slippery in places.

If you are serious about learning to ice-skate, look out for the Learn-to-skate-Holiday-Camp which are 4 consecutive days of 45 minute lessons held before the morning public skate session. Participants also have entry to that 2hr public skate session to practice.

I was really impressed with the way the coaches taught. They made it look so simple. My kid struggled a bit at the beginning but was fine after 2 days... almost going backwards by the 4th day...

Although the camp is run only during school holidays, it is also suitable for adults and there were several adults (as in fully grown mature people) in the lessons when we were there as well.

It does get crowded on weekends but generally is less crowded for the morning sessions.

Note that they occasionally close off 1/3 of the rink for private lessons in the morning and evening sessions on various weekdays, so it is worthwhile checking their public skating session schedule before going. While the rink is a full size rink, closing 1/3 for lessons does pack more people into a smaller area, and it's more difficult for beginners to negotiate their way across the rink without any barriers or walls to hang on to.

Also note that this is not suitable for very young kids - there is a minimum skate size so maybe kids under 4 or 5 won't be able to hire skates.

Access is easy with Jurong East MRT just across the road.

Fun venue for families and friends to ice skate, away from SG's humid weather.
The skating aids (Seal, Penguins) helped us to learn to maneuver around.

Do wear long sleeve and pants to minimise abrasions when we fall.
Only one minor complain, it can be very crowded during weekends.

If you are a beginner learning how to skate it's better that you drop by during the weekdays. During the weekend, the place is super pack! Mostly teenagers, they will skate in all directions and some fast some slow. After a while you will feel like you are in jurong bird park cos you will be seeing birds flying around your head due to giddiness.

Great fun on the rink. Rental of boots available, and sale of gloves and socks too. Save money if u bring your own. If so, u only pay for admission into the rink for skating. Duration of play is 2-hourly. Check website for details as skating times differ during the week. Remember to wear long pants and a sweater. Coaching is available at a price. Regular lessons also available. Have fun!
