This is a well planned and clean suburb. Easy access to public transport (bus, train). Good footpath for travel by foot around the neighbourhood. Has a good size shopping mall in the suburb which also acts as a hub for trains and buses. The suburb also has a big park for exercise and relaxation for public uses.

This town can be reached by metro from Orchard Station. You get off at the station named "Ang Mo Kio". Just behind the metro station is a garden, while a tunnel connects the metro station to a shopping mall that's called AMK Hub. The basement of the shopping mall has a row of stalls selling various snacks. There is a... More

My grandma will drop by to AMK for lunch as there's a lot of different types of food stalls/hawkers and walk around the areas to purchase household utilities, grab a cup of cold icy soya bean milk or sugarcane; my fav. Or visiting old friends, having supper etc..

Nothing great or small. Common neighbourhood like all other towns. The largest shopping area seems to be at Ang Mo Kio hub. No large tenant like Metro, Isetan. Pale when compared with Tampines.

In the prime location, there are everything you will need to survive. A huge shopping infrastructure, integrated transportation hub with bus, mrt, taxi. Fully air conditioning to escape the heat. Lots of delicious food at low prices. What else to ask for

There really isn't anything too exciting in the way of tourist attractions per se in Ang Mo Kio. The park is nice enough, with a good path for cycling. There are some ok shopping malls, and everything is reasonably neat and clean. But there's no really compelling reason to make a visit here for the purposes of tourism.
