Great location in the CBD (Robertson Quay) for this whisky bar if you are looking for a wide selection and helpful bartenders with recommendations. I tried their old-fashioned which was well made. They do have an impressive collection and they pride themselves on it. A good place to bring out of town guest for a drink and to chill-out. Lots of food places around too ( Chilli Crabs, Italian ), so it worth a visit. Enjoy.

Impressive selection of drinks from all around the world, friendly and helpful staff with a correct pricing in Singapore. A place to go for a drink with connoisseur or adventurous guy. The area is very relaxing with a lot of good eateries around too.

An amazing selection of whisky and other spirits from around the world. The Manager was helpful in his recommendations as it was a mind boggling long list of everything. We ended up chosing a Japanese whisky. Lovely location and ambience to wind down in the evening after dinner.

My Wife and I stopped by mid-afternoon on a Sunday. Fellow behind the counter was processing a sale, bagging the bottle, and he also pointed me to the Islay selection.

That is where anything resembling service ended. After completing the sale, the staff member continued to entertain every nonsensical question tossed at him and never got around to serving us. Eventually we were asked to sit outside where he promised he would bring water and take our order. It never happened.

We walked away and I will certainly never go back. Clearly the staff have no concept of service or how to manage more than one transaction at a time.

Terrible. And frankly, the selection was surprisingly small compared to the better malt bars in Asia.

Had a nasty experience. One of our friends ordered a glass of whisky which stated $24 in the menu, but was $38 in the bill. There was no explanation before we ordered, and only after we questioned the manager did he say every bottle does not cost the same, even if it is the exact same name and vintage. It all depended on their stock levels or some other reason!
The bartender kept saying it was "only $14 difference, a small amount". That was not an issue - how much the difference was. It was a matter of principle. He made us feel like cheapskates even though it was they who were dodgy.
We walked away without getting a refund even though we did ask that they honour the price on the menu. We just wanted to leave the place because it was extremely awkward.
They also made another mistake with another one of our bills.
Bad experience overall. Would not recommend.

There is a handful of bars that my husband and I enjoy going to in Singapore where the staff are knowledgeable and make excellent drink recommendations. Maison du Whisky used to be one of these bars but sadly that wasn't the case when we visited on Sunday. To be fair it was just one of the staff who was arrogant but the level of service was so appaling that I feel compelled to write a review. The staff in question was a miser of a pourer and when asked for whisky pairing with our desserts, was so off the mark taste-wise it made me wonder if she thought us fools. Seemed like she was in a hurry to go home too. Why work in the service line when you have not the slightest clue about service? Shame on the MdW name, won't be back.

I went there to look for WL Weller 12 yrs old. The place is a bar with a great selection of whisky to try. The store has a collection of rare whisky, some that I couldn't find anywhere else. Diego, the retail manager, was very helpful in explaining the taste of the whisky that I contemplated to buy.

This is one of the best store to find great whisky in Singapore.

Have been to LMWD quite a few times and is without a doubt one of the best whisky bar's in town with more than 600 different expressions to sample. Very knowledgeable staff with excellent service. Cozy and small so not for big groups but perfect for a business one-on-one while sampling a dram. Highly recommended!!!

Singapore has the debatable distinction of being the most expensive city in the world. A visit to Maison du Whisky, shop cum bar, might convince you that it is. The place is pricey, very pricey. Then free lunches, or free whisky, especially good whisky, exists only in mythology, not in reality.

Maison du Whisky is a specialty store that doubles as a bar after 6 PM. They have a range of over 700 whiskies from which one could buy by bottle or savor by the glass. The staff is knowledgeable and is ready with help. I wanted a very peaty whiskey. And they produced an 18 year-old Laphroaig. Anyone interested in whisky knows Islay single malts such as Laphroaig is peaty. But this 18 year-old was something out of this world. It was pricey, but worth every S$ paid. The whisky came with water from Scotland in a tiny bottle complete with a small rubber-and-glass pipette! The original whisky bottle was kept in front of us in display. Against the shelf with rows upon rows of bottles, this one looked majestic.

Maison du is concentrating on whisky, all varieties, from many lands. They also offer other liquors: gin, rum, vodka, cognac, armagnac, tequila. They do not serve food. But this is Robertson Quay, Singapore, dotted with any number of eateries. We had dinner at one restaurant and strolled down for an after-dinner whisky experience. It proved to be a fulfilling, exquisite encounter. I recommend it to anyone having a little more than passing interest in whisky.
