There used to be more stores before but on this visit I was a bit disappointed to find most of the stores closed. But there was a Korean supermarket that has opened. They had some interesting products. Also the food court was good

The plaza could be popular in the 70s when most of the nearby shopping centres non exist. With modern and more up to date developments nearby, Far East Plaza still remains at it's as 40 years ago so you will not expect it meets anyone...More

This is across the road from where we were staying on our honeymoon. Old place with plenty of shops, heaps of tailors hassle you to buy a suit. Plenty of food stalls but we decided to eat elsewhere on Orchard Road.
I stayed at the Royal Plaza, and this centre is virtually opposite via an elevated foot bridge across Scotts Rd.
It's what I remember of Singapore from decades ago, not upgraded. If you have the time, fine, otherwise there are more appealing offerings along Orchard...More
