Stumbled across this place on trip advisor and wanted to experience some Chinese culture whilst in the China town area. Tea Chapter is a short walk from the Tooth Relic temple and would make sense fitting in as part of tourist 'stroll'. The tea rooms are up some stairs by the main shop and this location has two level, some... More

Visited Tea Chapter on the recommendation and invitation of a Singaporean friend. It was a wonderful experience. Our hosts were familiar with the custom and took care of the ordering, and then serving arrangements, although I understand the staff will assist for those who are unfamiliar. It was fascinating to take part in the tea ceremony. So intricate, yet simple... More

My friend and I have been coming to this place for many years. It's a good place to chill and have fun brewing tea (you can request for a demonstration). On our last visit, a friendly elderly staff served us and checked on us on and off to make sure that we had enough water in the kettle and that... More

Originally we stopped in here so I could buy some tea to bring back to people (they have very affordable small bricks, which I thought was a good gift option since we don't really have them in the States) but discovered that they have a little cafe too. We went all the way up to the top floor and had... More

They charged $5 to sit in the chinese style room, and I dont see why they even charge. It's beautiful and very traditional but there were curtains seperating the tables, it made the room feel even smaller & really blocked the view. we couldnt even enjoy the nice atmosphere. We tried the 8 treasures tea and the tea jelly platter.... More

Came by here during one of the afternoons and it really brought me peace and serenity. Enjoyed the quiet time, coupled with the fragrant tea. Love the traditional layout of the whole place. Definitely coming back and would recommend all who hasn't visited this place to make your way down soon!

Quiet place in the centre of town where you can go chill and and have some good tea. Whether you're a serious tea enthusiast or just want to rest and drink some tea, this place has something for everyone.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
