Affectionately known among locals as the "durian", Esplanade is one of the busiest arts centres in the world with about 3,000 performances presented yearly. Spot our prickly cladding in the middle of the central arts and cultural district, and take in the view from the Marina bay waterfront where our Outdoor Theatre is situated. Coming to Esplanade means that you're in for a complete lifestyle experience, from enjoying a night out at a show, to shopping and dining. And whether you're a first-timer, an ardent patron or fellow arts lover, you're most welcome here and we'll do our best to give you a great experience with the arts.

Easy to reach using MRT, there's a walkway inside the building that leads you directly to Esplanade. They even have live music session in the night time, where you can watch for free while hanging around watching the colourful light play from the Marina Bay Sands. Captivating especially at night

Its very rare to find a place like this, you will see colorful reflections by walking through the bridge up the river.

We're seen two concerts here, the most recent being Elvis Costello on September 11, 2016. The whole facility is well designed and a simply excellent place to see a concert. Ticket prices are also reasonable, and there isn't really a poor seat in the house. During the concert the performer (Elvis Costello) commented that the acoustics were so good that... More

For those from India with interest and some knowledge of Western Classical Music a visit to Esplanade is a must. It's a delight listening to a performance in a 'Concert Hall'. You can book tickets on line. Usually there is no dress code but one is expected to be in proper attire. There is a large foyer where amateur individuals... More

Happened to walked to Explanade as was drawn by the sound coming from the outdoor performance which apparently featured local singer-song writing acts between 1-4 Sept. The music was nice and this is a good place to catch Pokemon too.

The opera was so awesome! It's a local production and we weren't expecting too much but both the orchestra and the opera was just so awesome! We cheered till our hands ached at the end!

Was just there to catch pokemons with the kids and had a fantastic time gawking at the city skyline of my home. Something we don't think about too much in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Lovely place to have a scoot along (we were also playing with our hooverboards and e-scooters) along the bayside leading to the floating... More

Staying in Marina Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighborhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.
