This mosque is situated in Singapore's Little India neighborhood and is one of the country's national monuments. This magnificent Singapore mosque was originally constructed of wood in 1859 to service the residents who had come from Southern India. In 1881 the mosque was made official and a waqf or endowment in Islamic law was granted to use the land for religious purposes. The mosque was put in the hands of two trustees, Ismail Mansor and Abdul Gaffoor.

It is a small mosque .However,The desgin is amazing. It one of the oldest Mosque
in Singaphore and I enjoyed there.

This mosque is declared as National Monument and is included in Singapore Heritage trail . All religion visitors are welcome here. One has to cover his head before entering the mosque. Colorful building. Small but beautiful place.

Not the biggest mosque in the city, but worth of visiting if you like to be not disturbed by anyone. Me and my friend, also girl, went to men's praying room by mistake. I'm sorry for thay. But no one kicked us out. I felt ok for that.

We called into the Abdul Gaffoor Mosque to have a look. Immediately we were greeted by a friendly man who offered to show us around. He helped us with the dress code and gave us a tour. He was clearly very passionate about the Mosque and Islam - giving our family loads of information about his faith. The mosque itself is fairly small, looking at it only takes a few minutes. The tour made it worthwhile.

Located in the Little India district. This mosque is a great example of Indian Islamic architecture with its minarets and onion shaped domes, as well as crescents and stars wall decorations and the prayer hall is raised above the floor. It is also a national monument of Singapore.Of course as any mosque, proper dressing, taking off the shoes and women head covering is a must. Also photography is allowed.

We made a point of seeing the Mosque (again) on our last trip as we find it a lovely place to visit. It is a wonderful window into the culture and ‘day to day’ activities of its followers. The surrounding street is also worth the visit - with its various stalls and specialty shops. A little bit of a hike from ‘down town’ Singapore but absolutely worth the effort. Recommended.

I had the opportunity to attend Jumuaah (Friday congregational prayer) in this mosque. It is just 10 minutes walk from Musthafa Center in little India. Clean place for ablution and beautiful interiors. What I liked about this mosque is that it had friendly and supportive staff to guide you to a prayer area. Very organized. I never saw such a coordination in any other mosque that I visited so far.

This mosque is still used as a school for teaching and follows the Muslim way of teaching males and females separately. Worth Seeing.
