This slightly shabby church is the oldest in Singapore. Surprisingly green grounds behind the church with out-of-place Armenian crosses and medieval statuary. Nice to pop in and have a peaceful break from the city.

During our short visit to Singapore, we spent a rather long time in the surrounding. The history is very interesting, how Armenians got there at 1800s. The garden at the back of the Church is very nice. THe church is small but the christian spirit...More

A must visit for religious historians and Armenians of course. The church itself is very simple and has photos of the Armenian families who lived in Singapore before. The back side of the church has beautiful stone carvings of the cross, and a few stone...More

This church is supposed to be the oldest in Singapure. The building is very nice and well preserved but unfortunately it misses the Armenian typical church architecture

The Armenian Church, more correctly called St Gregory the Illuminator's Armenian Catholic Church is conveniently situated between Fort Canning Park, Orchard Rd and the Padang. The first thing you'll notice is how small the church is! Perhaps that's a reflection of the tiny size of...More

The first Christian church in Singapore. It is not very large, but it is built by the architect's cathedral in a very interesting tropical style

Located within a small churchyard on Hill Street, the church was built by Singapore's Armenian community. A very small church physically, but it also acts as a landmark for finding many other local attractions such as the fire station, Philatelic Museum and Peranakan Museum

Hi J6, Definitely not! This is a church; not a paid attraction. I don't even recall seeing a donation box, but there might be one. You'll enjoy it; the oldest church in Singapore, I believe, very centrally located, and... More
