See the colourful coral right in front of your eyes or swim in one of St John’s Island’s many lagoons. You might also like to enjoy a pleasant picnic on the beach or go dolphin spotting by the water.

Great day trip to the trio of islands

I visited these islands early October 2016 by charter boat as a group and have been back twice since via the ferry service on my own. This is a neat little place where I come to do some angling when i find time. There is a lovely beach and beautiful blue water. For other anglers there are loads of fishing... More

St John's island is great, with cats roaming freely. Plenty of picnic areas and do check the Marine Science Institute expo hall as well, it's quite interesting. Walk over to Lazarus Island via the connecting bridge and you'll get to the best beach in Singapore, by far. Try to go in the morning because early afternoon a lot of boats... More

We planned our day to go to St John's Island only to get to Marina Bay Pier and find all ferry service to the island stopped for the month of October.Very disappointing.Limited food stalls even if we were going to get ferry and stay for the day.

Visited St John island with a group of friends on a Sunday afternoon for a short weekend island hopping trip. It was a great island hopping experience. There are nice green patches on the island and places where one can sit and rest to enjoy the quietness.

I did this on a weekday and used Singapore Island Cruises. The ticket can be bought on the day at ferry terminal at Marina South Pier. This is now directly accessible by MRT. The ticket is $18 for an adult return. On a weekday, it departs Marina South at 10am and 2pm and takes around 20 minutes to St John's.... More

St John Island used to be our Secondary School time camping and outdoor favourite place, have not been back here for decades, could not recall how it looks. Today is the first time after so many years, and surprised to see St John beach/lagoon is nice (better than East Coast), not too crowd, a good escape and retreat from the... More

After a short 30min board ride, with great views of the Singapore skyline, you arrive at this quiet undeveloped island where you can enjoy the beach or do some fishing minus the crowds. Just remember to bring your own water and food as there are no shops on the island.

St johns island is one of the southern islands in Singapore. This is a nice, quick escape from the city. You can reach st johns island by taking a ferry from Marina South Pier and it takes about 30 mins to the island. There would be lesser ferry trips on weekdays compared to weekends and public holidays. As noted by... More

Fantastic place to unwind and relax. We took a morning ferry from the Marina South Pier. The island itself is essentially a small park with an interesting story behind it as it used to be a quarantine zone for ill people (among other uses). There were maybe 10 people already on the island carrying some gardening / repair / painting... More

If you need to get away from main island Singapore's hustle and bustle, St John would be a nice place to have real conversations with your family and friends. Pack your own picnic, as there would be no shops there. Also a great place for those that have the sense of adventure. If you love cats, this is also a... More
