See the colourful coral right in front of your eyes or swim in one of St John’s Island’s many lagoons. You might also like to enjoy a pleasant picnic on the beach or go dolphin spotting by the water.

St John Island used to be our Secondary School time camping and outdoor favourite place, have not been back here for decades, could not recall how it looks. Today is the first time after so many years, and surprised to see St John beach/lagoon is nice (better than East Coast), not too crowd, a good escape and retreat from the... More

After a short 30min board ride, with great views of the Singapore skyline, you arrive at this quiet undeveloped island where you can enjoy the beach or do some fishing minus the crowds. Just remember to bring your own water and food as there are no shops on the island.

St johns island is one of the southern islands in Singapore. This is a nice, quick escape from the city. You can reach st johns island by taking a ferry from Marina South Pier and it takes about 30 mins to the island. There would be lesser ferry trips on weekdays compared to weekends and public holidays. As noted by... More

Fantastic place to unwind and relax. We took a morning ferry from the Marina South Pier. The island itself is essentially a small park with an interesting story behind it as it used to be a quarantine zone for ill people (among other uses). There were maybe 10 people already on the island carrying some gardening / repair / painting... More

If you need to get away from main island Singapore's hustle and bustle, St John would be a nice place to have real conversations with your family and friends. Pack your own picnic, as there would be no shops there. Also a great place for those that have the sense of adventure. If you love cats, this is also a... More

There doesn't seem to be a separate TripAdvisor page for Lazarus Island, so I combine the reviews of the two. The ferry trip was straightforward - although a bit pricy at $18 - but it gives you a feeling that you're going on a mini-vacation for the day. Take note that the ferry timings are mostly strict and it departs... More

Lazarus has a good beach, but it is now filled with all sort of rubbish dumped by picnickers and yachters who were too lazy to pick the own rubbish to dispose properly them on St John Island. When will these people grow up?

Great island to escape from city life. Good for adults and older kid to experience simple island life. No cafes and modern facilities - which is a refreshing change in this day and age.

Although some websites claim St John's and Lazarus islands have the best beaches in Singapore (a review was even comparing to Boracay), there are no more than smaller than small beaches full of grass up to the high water line. The water was not that pristine when i visited and lazarus beaches were badly littered. As mentioned in other reviews,... More

We stayed one nite at the Dormitory which can accommodate up to 60 pax. It's so clean and spacious. Love it.. We walked to Lazarus Island and had a great time. Will definitely visit again!
