About
"As Singapore’s tallest vertical mall, Orchard Central is an exciting and inviting spot to do your shopping. Designed such that glass is a central feature throughout, the mall has a breezy and welcoming feel. Billed as an experience for the stylish shopper, Orchard Central has everything from fashion to food, including Singapore’s first Mediterranean-style marketplace, which also gives it a clear point of difference from other rival malls. A “newish” mall connected to orchard gateway and then 313 somerset. Nothing to help it stand out among the many malls in orchard and many changes in tenants over the years. The saving grace perhaps Don Don Donki and Lady M

After reading about this place I was expecting so much more. Rather disappointing. Disjointed layout and not enough choice.

Apparently a new concept of the people behind LeeKaJia at Mandarin Gallery.
Very compact. Dark and caustrophobic unless one loves being surrounded by potted plants. Small spaces for barber, nails and hair cut.
Tried their cold pressed juice. Had better.

You can exit the Dhoby Gaut MRT Station from here. There are variety of shops and restaurants inside the building. The mall is rather quiet. Worth visiting once.

I love the variety of indoor spaces in this building. Every floor is different, and there's a good selection of pricey to affordable food & clothes in this mall. Mainly for the women in terms of clothing, I think - I like the boutique just behind Quiznos. There's Korean & Japanese-style, high street chains and local boutique shops for office and special occasion wear.
I like how it doesn't get crowded. No departmental store cliches here. There's a climbing rock wall. Furniture & interior shops to browse. Some good hairdressers that quickly are booked up, a lovely bar/dinner/boutique trio at the end facing the old Kilkenny P.O. Check out the restaurants higher up - again, nice decor, some outdoor spaces with a view.
Beautiful basement decor (the tiles and lamps!) and some specialty shops although I'd stay away from the basement food. It's a good mall to take photos in!
Drinks at Tully's and subs at Quiznos are a good meal under $15. Seafood restaurant, Japanese tonkatsu, ramen, matcha desserts & drinks, a pizza place, Thai food, charming western cafe, pricey steak place etc. Stroll through and see which one takes your fancy. In this mall, the look of the place is probably more important than the food it serves to distinguish it.
Your typical Singaporean foodcourt can be found opposite below Robinson's via the connecting underground pass.
For a quiet wander and to appreciate interior architecture, this is the mall to be. Such an oasis in the middle of crazy Orchard Rd. Have fun on the glass elevators. :) Oh, and clean toilets!

The Orchard Mall as it's name indicated is located on Orchard Road (main shopping area). Easy access by SMRT. Even the shops are a bit disappointed, the mall is nicely build. Indeed, the mall features a 140m shopping street discovery walk and a green roof which are both open 24 hours to public.
In addition, there are plenty of choices to eat or rest at a coffee shops.
Conclusion, nice to chill and have something to eat but not for shopping experience

Fusion, Japanese and Western vegetarian restaurant located on the rooftop. Very zen and different.
Found the frontline staff lacking EQ and not competent in English. First impression therefore not very good.
Wish there was more emphasis on being human and smiling more. The female sraff were a bit plastic and expressionless.
The interior was better and make staff professional. Went out of their way to explain about the food, sometimes trying a little too hard to the point of interrupting our conversation and a tad bit too fast to want to bring the next item, I felt. The drinks and dessert were served together.
We had the set lunch that consists of options for a 6-course meal. Food was artfully presented and pleasing to the senses.
Warrants a one time visit if you are looking for an alternative vegetarian dining experience, otherwise you can get better options elsewhere that are well priced. There's usually vegetarian options at Western, Chinese, Indian or Mediterranean restaurants around most of Singapore.

You can find many international brands in Orchard central. It has multiple restaurants. It is not uncommon to find live street music outside Orchard central.

Don Don Donki has made the place livelier. Many deals available at the basement.
There are other restaurants with variety of food choices through all the floors. It has a huge dept store, Toyku hands at the basement too.
Had dined at Jack’s place at basement 1, not bad. Mainly a place for food and beverage. L1 has a huge uniqlo flagship store.
