About
"Rarely seen without a bustling crowd of customers, Mustafa Centre is set in the Little India district. A cult favourite in the Singaporean shopping scene, it’s the best place to go if you’re after a bargain or enjoy shopping late into the twilight hours. Mustafa may not be as fancy as some of Singapore’s other malls, but it has a great range of items, and good prices to match. Here, you’ll get a bargain on just about everything, from clothes, perfume, souvenirs, electronics, makeup, confectionery and even food and groceries. "

Neighborhood: Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.

Can visit for experience of a budget megastar.
Probably a great place to visit for locals but as a tourist it did not add up much. The prices are low by 15 -20% over Indian price but added weight to be carried in flight needs to be accounted for. GST refund is applicable and should be applied for but do not forget to carry your singapore arrival card.

All the items under one roof
The favorite place of Indians for shopping whether routine or specialized shopping. You can find all the item in this mall ranging from consumer goods to apparels to electronics and even gold. You can purchase gifts and souvenirs at much cheaper rate sometimes less than half the rate of open market or tourist place. They also provide you GST refundable bill.

    Everything everywhere at once
Packed to the brim with goods, bustling, noisy, exciting. If you like indulging in capitalist, everything-available-at-once experiences or just enjoy “window shopping”, this is a great place. From a European perspective, I especially liked looking at all the tech stuff we can only get on Amazon. Great place.

    Anything anytime
Such a huge central shopping mall where you can find all what you need. Two opposite buildings, one for gold and diamond and the other for all shopping groceries, dresses, shoes, guitars, perfumes and many others. Considerable as fine prices as per Singapore’s standards.

    Mustafa Mega Mall
I first visited Mustafa in 1982, directed there with a fistful of Singapore dollars after British Airways left my luggage at Heathrow. The lady at lost baggage assured me that I could purchase a range of men's clothing for the small amount of assistance received. So it proved and since then no visit to Singapore is complete without a visit to the store in Syed Alwi Road. It's become mega big over the years, each floor packed with merchandise, perhaps too much in places as aisles have become so narrow that one person has to step into an adjacent aisle to allow the other pass. Very difficult to peruse and fit garments and frankly, I found the experience overwhelming on this occasion. Each level was crammed with merchandise, the only areas visited that offered relative space were the jewelry and watches sections. Still old-fashioned security with plastic cable ties sealing the plastic bags containing your purchases. Worth visiting on a weekend for a claustrophobic experience.

    Chocolates and Souvenirs
If you are looking for cheap chocolate souvenirs and what-not, this is the place for you. The store is full of a lot of things, from dry goods to groceries. I watched a Youtube video which somehow convinced me that this is the place to shop for Merlion Chocolates and other souvenir items. Beware tho, you might spend more that you think. If you are buying lots and lots, well, it might be worth the trip. But with just a few like a dozen boxes, well you may be better off buying in the grocery in near your hotel. We are staying in a hotel in Orchard, so we had to pay Grab to and from Mustafa. So I computed the fare and price and realized it would've been better off buying at Lucky Plaza.

    Bustling centre
Mustafa was bustling with people inside and out. The centre itself was very big and was cram packed with evythig you could imagine to shop for from food to household items clothing toys and the list goes. We looked around for a couple of hours and didn’t get the visit all levels as it’s too big, would need a whole day or two (with children). But like many say it’s cheap and good for bulk purchases we didn’t think so. Wasn’t very cheap when it came to checking out so if your not willing to spend maybe keep an eye on the prices of individual items.

Mustafa Centre - worth it if you like a bargain and a rummage and have plenty of time
Well worth a visit if you have the time. I went on a weekday and I understand weekends are extra busy. Aisles are tight to move around on the multiple floors. But if you have the time and like a good rummage for some bargains, worth a visit. Note that the prices are very good but the prices in Bugis street market was even better.

    Everything you need
Where on earth have I just been? The Mustafa Centre is something else; this crowded shopping centre is crammed packed with products from painkillers, to shampoo, to frying pans and a whole floor of clothing to boot. It’s got everything the human desires. But the aisles are tight and it’s a pain to manoeuvre around so make sure you a spare hour or two before you visit. Well worth a walk around.

I was excited to go back there. It is amazing, to tell the truth and has everything you can think of. Last time, some years ago, I bought a watch and it has been going no problem.

This time we both bought some headphones, different models, but not the super cheap stuff. Well, when we open the boxes in our hotel, they seemed like things were missing, like the manual and some parts. The items were ok until I pressed a button that was broken. Went back to return the item and the customer service was HORRIBLE, one guy did not even try to go and find the same colour I wanted, so I have to pick another one. There were several people there more preoccupied about chatting between themselves or texting or talking on their mobiles than helping customers. They treated us like they were doing us a favour..... I will never be back to that place.

If you’re a shopaholic you will feel you’ve died and gone to heaven!

Two buildings, multiple floors jammed packed with literally acres of stock.

Everything from fine jewellery and expensive watches to your run of the mill costume jewellery. Cloths galore, fresh bakery, all types of generally groceries and fresh foods, fishing gear, makeup, bedding, pharmacy, optometrist, you named it they’ll have it ..
Every shopping category and price range is covered at Mustafa’s.

However, know your prices, some items are priced higher than elsewhere (like Rayban sunnies) and some of the cheaper clothing is poor quality. Also, the staff are not overly helpful and pretty lazy.

Open 24 hours 365 days. Can get super crowded during peak times.

Walked in expecting a variety of products. But was simply not ready for the quantity and quality on display. The products, the brands, the numbers. Its like a complete bazaar in itself. Just spent a few hours wandering around. Amazed at the fact that you have absolute rubbish on display sitting on the same level as handcrafted items that would take pride of place in any discrete persons home/collection.

The best part for me was observing the employees. Have never seen anything like this before, except in government offices. There were people sitting down in between aisles, groups of three to six. Doing nothing but having a chat. There were employees standing around with shelves to fill, their carts laden with new products, stopped in the middle of aisles and talking on the phone. Customers be damned. They can walk around me to get to the things they need. Getting employed over here must be the best thing that happened to these people. Go in to work, do nothing, get paid. There was these two guys standing around with two push trolleys laden with dental products that they were supposed to be topping the shelves with. They just plonked themselves in front of the aisles and were having a chat. I must have gone past them a couple of times. And made it a point to check on them 4-6 times during the few hours that I spent there. No movement of the goods from the trolleys to the shelves.

Its a good way to just pass time. You get to see a lot of people from different nationalities just coming to see the displays. You can easily make out the locals who come in with their lists, heading straight for the aisles, shopping and leaving.

I had a very bad day at Mustafa centre money changer. There was an Indian lady at the money changer counter. I gave her my money to change she asked me how much was my money $1900 because i thought there is some money in my purse as well and then she asked me to count again twice, it was $2,200. I COUNTED TWICE. And then she told me that it was only $2,100 and she never even ask me to look at the money machine directly she put the money inside the drawer and then I went back to her and argued with her that i gave her $2,200 and she said no I only gave her $2,100. That lady such a cheater. Very bad and poor customer service. The lady was so rude and arrogant.

I visited the mall during a sunday noon, the day when I decided to pay my mandatory visit to Little India and it smelled fishy since the time I entered. The mustafa mall is known for cheap indian stuffs, hence I wanted to pay a visit and check if I could find souvenirs for friends, however instead I ended up losing my wallet from my pocket there. While I tried informing the local staff, they were of no use. I ended up losing 150 dollar for my greed of saving some money on cheap souvenirs. Please avoid.

Went there couple of times in the last 10 yrs, got to buy a few stuff, got a refund for a few not for all.
As your bill has to be above 150SGD on a single day bill. Since I purchased below on a trail of few days, lost a few SGD in that.

I would better go to nearby small owners as they give discounts and get to give demo too for electronics. They dont have GST as their sales is below the required tax payment. So you can avoid GST on your bill too.

Fabrics are good. But ended up buying saree which tore in a few months. Must be old stock. Accessories (knit wear, socks) are good.

It is a huge department store which sells everything under the sun. The range in products is huge and at very affordable prices. It is THE place to go if you want to see the Asian culture interwoven with a department store and I would definitely recommend going to.
