The place is one of my bucket list and when we arrived in Changi Airport, the first thing that I'd like to see is the rain vortex. I saw it during the day and it's beautiful and one of a kind. But to see it at night and its light show? It's magical. What I love the most here, is that they have attractions and variety of stores & restaurants inside the airport. It's not just an airport, it's also a leisure place, which is very impressive. Changi is one of the best airport in the world!
Hi YuppieLionheart, thank you very much for your compliment! Jewel Changi Airport is located at the public area and it's free for all to visit. We are glad that you have enjoyed your visit to Jewel, and it is also great to know that you enjoyed our nightly Light & Music showcase. If you have any beautiful photos taken at Jewel, be sure to share them by tagging us at @JewelChangiAirport. We hope to welcome you back to Jewel again soon!

2 hours tops, plus the mall ...
Good for up to 2 hours (not as long as suggested), PLUS time to eat, drink, play and/or shop. Did the canopy gardens with the elevated glass decked bridge (which was worth it). The Rain Vortex was amazing on all levels, with the other gardens and cascade. But the rest is basically typical mall shopping and eating, also play facilities for all ages such as the elevated nets.
Hi 629grantt, we are glad that you had a great time exploring Jewel Changi Airport! 7-hour layover at Changi - what to do ?
When travelling through Changi airport and you have 5 hours, make sure yo go to Jewel. We had to visit this incredible place and it was well worth the time. Jewel has so many things to offer, shopping, restaurants and activities. We spent 3 hours there and could have stayed longer. Jewel is a mix of east meets west and is great. some of the restaurants had great views of the Jewel atrium to view as you ate. Every type of shopping; from high-end to tourist trinkets can be found. The Jewel at night lights up and is incredible. Be sure to visit this one of a kind place when at Changi,

    Worth a visit
Jewel is the shopping mall wedged between two terminals with a circular center water fall. From Terminal 3 one has to take 8 short (10 - 22 steps per) automated walkways to get to the Level 3 of the mall. Lots of restaurants, mainly on Level 3 and Level 2 although others can be found at other levels. L1 has early check in facilities if your airline participates. One can probably spend a whole day here and feel lighter in the pocket book afterwards.

    Best world over!
Jaw dropping airport that is more like a beautiful city on the move. Changi Jewel just gets better with every visit, whether your a traveler or visitor, there are tons of food outlets and retail shops, it's not a wonder why she is constantly winning Skytrax best airport award. The efficiency is astouding in terms of processing both outbound and in. Now that terminal 4 and 5 are underway she will hold this coveted spot for many more years to come.

    Great Visit
The Jewel was a place my son wanted to visit. Since we were in Malaysia, we took a Scoot flight down. The Jewel is a really beautiful place which only cements Singapore's Changi International Airport as the best airport in the world. There are a lot of things to do and lots of photo opportunities. My daughter enjoyed getting photos with the Marvel comic characters and posed with a giant Iron Man by the Vortex. The Canopy Walk is really nice and one can see a lot of different animals made from plants. The Jewel would be nice to visit at night as well because of the different light effects. We only made a day-trip to Singapore and left by the afternoon. There are also a lot of different stores there as well for some good shopping. This visit was worth it.
Hi potatochip1, we are glad you had a good time exploring Jewel! On your next visit, we hope you can catch our iconic Light and Sound showcase that plays every day at 8PM and 9PM (10PM shows on Fri-Sun), or try out our numerous play attractions at Canopy Park! Even big kids love to play on the bouncing net - lots of fun. The jewel is a good way to spend your time At the airport. Restaurant upstairs was nice to and more relaxing than the fluorescent airport lights and noise downstairs

    Beautiful fountain.
The Changi Airport jewel is an architectural feat. A really beautiful design well-realised. Definitely worth visiting whilst you are at the airport, if not necessarily as a special visit. Loads of shops if you have need of buying objects (I didn't - except a new pen!).

You need to get to the airport early
We arrived at the airport 6 hours early for our flight thinking that will have enough time to enjoy the Jewel. We didn't have enough time! This is a Class A Mall with many luxury brands represented. If you are not into shopping, many many restaurants. The food court is on the lowest floor, while there are better dining options on the higher floors. Everything from Chinese to A&W, they have a lot of selection. They also have Canopy Park and the Shiseido Forest Valley. By square footage, it is bigger than the Flower Dome in the Garden by the Bay. At the core of this green space is this spectacular waterfall - a must-see. Schedule time to see this place.

    Splendid design, must stop
Jewel is the part of Changi airport you may or may not have the flight, but you can visit this place. We came early and spared about one and half hour in Jewel before boarding. The architect and environment are very cool and pleasing. Ample option of shopping and dine in. We enjoyed the place a lot.

the Terminl 4 (Jewel) in the Changi Airport is the most interestingterminal I´ve seen around the world. Beside many shops and restaurants there is a dome with a waterfall in the middle. After sundown every 30 minutes starts a show with lights and sound and any traveler is at rsik to miss the flight, just by watching the event.
When travellung to Sungapore or just at transit, you must take the time to go to terminal 4. There is a skytrain an a bridge and it is easy to get there from any terminal.

It is a new shopping in Changi airport. Obviously the most attractive object in this mall is the artificial waterfall which is right in the middle of the mall. I liked the design which give a sense of the forest feel. There is no observation deck but you view it from different floors. The mall offered variety of branded goods. It is an expensive place for shopping at least I enjoyed the windows shopping the free air-cond as the climate in Singapore was really hot during the time I visited.

We stayed at airport hotel cos we wanted to visit Jewel.
It was a good choice to stay a night so no rush to see everything here.

We came earlier before hotel's check in at 3pm. We had lunch at shake shack.
Then started shopping immediately. There were 5 floors in all plus 2 basements.

Shops are concentrated on 1 to 4, 5th is more entertainment, bars and food outlets. Level 4 mostly for kids shopping.

B1 B2 food restaurants and some retail shops too.

We shop at Desigual, Muji, Footlocker, ShirtBar, Zara, Marks and Spencer, etc.

There were some designer shops like Moschino, Furla, Katespade, etc but since we can get these in towns, we look for unique shops. DESIGUAL has limited edition items only at Jewel when items are first launched. By the time items move to the town stores, items could be sold out.

The shops are lined up in a circle so just walk and you end up at the starting point again. There are some restaurants or food shops in some of the levels so you can still dine then shop again on same level.

We tried JW360 for dinner, Shake Shack for lunch, Paris Baquette for Tea Time and had ice cream at birds of paradise. Now, you see where the calories go?

We just stroll floor by floor so easy to complete and not miss any shop.

At level 5 we pay to visit the evening christmas garden so we can take some great photos. There is even a camp site on this level where you can rent a tent just for fun. We had already booked a hotel.

The best part in Jewel is of course, the atrium with waterfall. At 630pm, there is the train going around the waterfall, snow flakes flying plus smoke effect. Just good photo session. Then 730pm, they have the light and music show. The sound of the water crashing down, colour changing plus music make this, a spectacular event!

There is even a SHAW movie theatre so if visitors had a short stopover, they could watch a movie here.

We love this place cos there is so much to see and do. Or even if you just want to waste time here, it can also help you to destress.

There should be an airport shuttle just to bring people from town to here in a swift. That is, express airport shuttle.

Overall, fantastic place to visit cos no tourists and thus not overly crowded.

A good escape if time permits.

Who would ever says they are impressed with airports? They basically serve a purpose. Some are good and some are not but Singapore Airport is a whole new level. The airport has to be one of the most organised and cleanest places we've travelled to. We stayed for one night at Crowne Plaza.

The Jewel is land-side between terminals 2 and 3 and is very aptly named. It tends to be restaurants, coffee lounges and so on. There are several bars on the top level. There are some tourist attractions to visit and if you are passing through Singapore, I'd suggest you take time out to include this place. I would not say that about any other airport we've been through! Many airlines have a bag drop so you can get rid of your suitcase early and relax before you go air-side through security for your flight. Even air-side there is plenty to do and see.

The world's biggest waterfall is impressive and in the evening from 7.30pm they do light shows with music.

Jewel has as its centrepiece a stunning waterfall, come tube of water, it is symmetrical and stunning. there is a rainforest canopy of trees and plants growing all around, with a train line running through.if you have time catch the sky train through it, if you have more time, take a stroll, there are shops and restaurants all around.

We arrived in Singapore in the evening and just needed to get out of the airport, so we had to return to the airport the next day just to visit the Jewel. By taxi, it cost about $20 from downtown to the Jewel.

The rain vortex is definitely the highlight of the Jewel and with the Christmas tree and decorations, Christmas is a great time to get photos of it on each of the different levels. The Canopy Park has a lot of activities for adults and kids but each of them costs money. We did not try any of them and instead, we walked around the mall. The kids were so happy to find the Pokemon Store there and we bought some of the exclusive to Singapore Pokemon items. The Shake Shack is also at the Jewel but there was a long line so we did not try anything there. We also enjoyed checking out Tokyu Hands which we hadn't been to since we were in Tokyo last year.

There is even a movie theatre inside the Jewel and one of the screening rooms is designed for kids to watch movies and play at the same time if they choose to. What a great concept!

The Jewel Changi Airport puts other airports to shame. With so much to do, you can never have a boring layover in Singapore.

Since we had a late flight out, decided to check out at noon and spend our afternoon and early evening at Jewel Changi. We were not disappointed. Not only is the architecture of the central dome stunning, the whole concept of indoor nature with waterfall and other features has been taken to a level perhaps unique in the world. It's Gardens by the Bay meets gigantic shopping and entertainment centre.

This really is a great way to spend time on transit it you don't want to go to the city, or to kill time before flying like we did. With a mind boggling array of food and shopping options, Singapore has really come up with a winner.

Remember there are options to check in early for many airlines at Jewel. Connecting to the terminals was also very easy, although the signs may be a bit confusing. We took the Skytrain to terminal 2 and then the bus to Terminal 4. There are walking options too, but there is always a motorized alternative, so make sure to look for that.

Highly recommended.

We visited the Jewel at Changi Airport on the 6th January. The place is huge with a massive shopping centre hidden within the complex. The highlight of the Jewel is the free standing waterfall in the centre of the facility.
Unfortunately there was maintenance taking place during our visit (so the water had been turned off)
During our visit to the shops within the the Jewel we noticed it had started to rain!
As we walked past the waterfall started falling in all its glory! What a wonderful sight

The selection of food brands and shops in Jewel is really fantastic. There's some brand you can't get in other parts of Singapore - like A&E and Shake Shack. In fact, the queues for those places are ridiculously and surprisingly long!

The fountain is a must see and adds a nice touch to the ambience. There's timings for the music and light show - worth catching if you're only passing through once. And there's many good vantage points to see it from as the mall is circular around the fountain, with many floors to view it from.

Top mall that showcases our futuristic vortex waterfall with light shows every evening. Fab mix of retail brands ranging from casual to high-end and a wide variety of restaurant types and cuisines. Child-friendly, the top floor features an indoor park for children and adults to climb, stroll, and chill. B2 has a child-friendly cinema at Shaw theatres that has a play area for the kids while the adults watch the show. So huge that you can get a bit lost, but there are handy touchscreen info electronic boards at almost every escalator. Favourite new mall in the east!
