Needed a data card for my camera. Didn't research before I went, but had general idea of what it costs in the US and Thailand. I got taken. Card was half the speed the label claimed and twice the price of a legitimate one bought at market rate. I called the tourist scam number, but nothing happened. Largely, I was... More

It's a great place to buy computer and other small accessories etc.. Prices of course according to person to person at some outlets and some sellers are bit rude. Lot of shops at this place though.

You moat likely get sold a faulty product or get ripped off. I did and had learned an expensive lesson like many others thinking that hey "I am street smart and know how to check products before buying" You will probably only notice the problem once you have left the shop by which time they will not refund you when... If you are looking for cables, adaptors, generic batteries, etc., this is the place to be. However, prices varies slightly from shop to shop so do give time to do some comparisons. I have never attempted to buy electronic devices such as laptops, cameras, etc. as I tend to go to the more renowned shops like Challenger, Best Denki, etc.... More

I might come back to Singapore to visit this place only for its vast electronic collection. I didn't have enough time because my wife was getting bored. But its a must visit if you are a Techno crazy. Just loved it,

My wife, two children and I visited Sim Lim Square in Singapore in June 2016. Sim Lim Square is a mall with all electronics, computers, cameras and so forth. You can walk here from Little India and Serangoon Road in about 10-15 minutes. It is a very interesting place to go for 30-45 minutes just to look but I would... More

Make sure you look around, compare products and bargain hard. We found it difficuly to compare cameras as there were so many to choose from and each vendor wanted to push a particular brand or model more than another, so we had to take a bit of time to be able to compare them all. Had a break, went downstairs... More

Sim Lim Square does not disappoint when you want to buy electronics in Singapore. The huge mall sells items ranging from cameras to security cameras, laptops, television, gadgets for your laptop/desktop/phone to even chocolate! It is also extremely accessible via the MRT (alight at Downtown Line Rochor station). If you're lucky and search deep enough, you can get items at... More
