Review of: Singapore Private Food and Culture Tour
I had a lot of fun trying out the local dishes with my friends as we learned more about the history of these locations! The tour guide Darius was very knowledgeable and let us in on secret sites. Definitely recommend everyone to try this tour even if you're a tourist or local!

Our group walking tour through Little India was with the excellent Angel. As with all three of the ethnic area walking tours we joined that Monster Tours runs in Singapore, the walk was split into two parts with the opportunity for a rest-room break, the opportunity to buy drink and consume a carefully chosen set of local snacks to try purchased by our guide. We did the walk on a very sunny and hot dry morning and Angel did a great job to keep us in the shade where possible. She is an engaging storyteller, spoke loudly and clearly to the group and told her stories with a great sense of humour and a wicked laugh. The first half covered a mixture of stories and facts, told through murals and supplemented when needed with images from a i-pad shared around the group. After the rest break in 'Little India Central' we got to visit a temple and learned about some of the deities within. This was a great opportunity to go somewhere that we would not have ventured in ourselves. All in all a great tour and introduction to one of the main ethnic enclaves within Singapore.…

Review of: Private Customised Singapore Walking Tour
Few years ago, we already did a tour with Monster Tours of Little India. The kids wanted to do a similar tour, and we booked with them again, but they found a way to discuss a different side to what we have previously tackled. We requested for a very early start at 8AM to avoid the crowds and the heat, and they accommodated. Angel, our guide, was great with my 2 teens (ages 13 and 14), and made them listen and stayed interested with the topic. Not being able to have face-to-face classes for 2 years, Angel provided them with an engaging "Edutainment" (educational entertainment) during the walking tour. she adjusted based on their interest as we went, and my kids said, they learned more from Angel in our 2 hour tours, than 2 years of Online History class. I am now convinced that Monster Tours run quality tours. She showed us how Little India came about, even if it was not originally an Indian settlement. Wall mural art on each wall had its own story and depiction, and was there for a reason, and not only were they great instagrammable spots, but actually had inner depth and meaning. We will be back again on August with my parents, and will definitely book with them again, hopefully we get Angel again!…

My friend & I participated in an aptly named Singapore Re-Discovery tour when the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions were eased: The Singapore River Signatures: A Food Tasting Tour with Monster Day Tours on 1 Sept 2021. The tour is well-designed with various rest stops which actually were food stops to sample generous portion of the speciality of the participating restaurants. Our guide was Angel who was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, bubbly & beguiled us with intriguing stories of the Singapore River, of iconic landmarks which brought us down memory lane & even a restaurant which we were not aware of for their quirkiness! It is indeed an enjoyable, educational tour that is relaxing & well-paced - suitable for children & seniors. I highly recommend this tour for both locals & tourists to a Uniquely Singapore Experience.…

Firstly, my tour was pre-covid, it was in fact my last holiday before the C word hit. I went to Singapore the 1st March 2020 (website won't let me choose March 2020 for tour date) and one of the first things I planned to do was this walking tour with Monster Day Tours. Turns out because of the current situation I was the only one and boy was it memorable, so memorable that I have been meaning to write it since then (it's now August '21). I attend a large amount of tours, particularly walking tours and I can say Dani was the best guide I'd ever had. She had a wealth of knowledge, was a kind person, and made me feel like I wasn't on the tour alone, I was the only one it was just myself and Dani. Dani, asked me questions about what I was interested in and told me about singapore, took some great photos, introduced my to Durian and was the best thing about my trip to Singapore, which was in fact my last holiday. At the end of the tour she extended by an hour to tell me more about Singapore and all it has to offer. Then she brought me to a local food market place with no tourists (just me) and she even stayed with me to eat for a little bit. Truly felt like I was having a night out with a local who had so much knowledge. The fact I'm writing this review 17 months after the tour shows how great I found it. Please do yourself a favour and book yourself on this tour when in Singapore, it will be the highlight of your trip.…
