The airport actually offers free guided bus tours for layovers of 5 hours or more. We had 15 hours between flights which was just enough time to explore. There are tickets to the OCBC Walkway which is 60 ft off the ground and connects two of the trees via a 400 ft suspension bridge. We got tickets through @Klook which included the walkway, cloud forest, and flower garden for 22 USD per person. Before going up you must pick a time slot at the ticket booth. We chose to go at night because they offer 15 minute nightly light shows at 8 & 9PM. To see the show from above, we suggest getting your tickets for 7:20 because we weren’t able to go up in time with our 7:40 tickets due to the lines to go up via elevator. This show was amazing considering it’s free and offered each night. Afterwards we crossed the marina walkway to the bay to see the free Spectra light show which also takes place nightly at 8 & 9PM in front of the hotel. Spots fill up quickly but it’s hard to find a bad spot. This show could best be described as the World of Color show from Disneyland. We packed so much into our layover in Singapore and ended it with drinks at the club lounge on top of the Marina Bay Sands. They offer free entry on Thursday and drink vouchers on days that there is a cover!

You can only buy tickets to the Skyway from the kiosk near the Skyway itself (I tried to buy tickets from the other ticket counters in Gardens by the Bay but they send you to the Skyway area to buy tickets from one ticket booth).
I visited at night at around 7:20pm and they were handing out tickets for the 9:20pm time slot, even though they’re supposed to close at 9pm and last entry is advertised as 8:40pm (20 minute time slot intervals).
And there was a long line queueing to get tickets as well.
So I decided to go back the next morning and see if the queues were better first thing in the morning. Fortunately, there was no queue in the morning. $8 entry, and it will only take you 10 minutes to take in the view from the Skyway, meander very slowly along the Skyway and then exit. It’s a very short Skyway.
Note: Buying a ticket does not necessarily provide you with immediate access to the Skyway. It buys you a ticket to the Skyway, and then you have to be issued with a time slot to enter. First thing in the morning, I was able to go up straightaway. During busy periods, you may have to wait 2 hours for your time slot.
The views are good, and it’s worth it for the price.

The OCBC Skyway only costs $8 SGD and is well worth it. There are some great views, and presents some outstanding photo opportunities. You enter up one Supertree, then walk the 128-meter long Skyway and exit through Supertree on the other end.

The views of the garden and the supertrees are beautiful. Supertrees look even more beautiful in the night when they light up.
As only limited number of people can go on the skyway at a time you get a queuing slot along with the ticket. On the skyway the coordinators keep asking you to move forward as the bridge needs to be empty before next group of people come in. It took around 10-15 minutes for us to cross the skyway along with taking few pictures.

Having visited Marina Bay Sands , we walked along to Gardens by the Bay . Unfortunately we did not have a great deal of time to visit all the domes , but it had been suggested by a colleague to use the Skyway . Admission was S$8 each and the walk was excellent to view the trees and surrounding areas.

Quiet scary if you are scared of heights. However the view is incredible. Especially at night! Worth the extra SGD8. However, If spent too long here, you will be asked to walk quickly. This is because there are ALOT of other people who wants to get up as well and they cant come upstairs until you come down due to weight limit of the bridge.

It is located by the Gardens by the Bay. I would go early or late evening to climb and walk along the walkways. It can get very hot and crowded. There is a charge but it is worth it. Not advisable for people who do not likes heights. There is a lift to take people to the viewing area.
It is part of the experience of visiting Garden by the Bay. If possible I would suggest see one of the light shows in the evening which is free. The colour of the lights changes across the structures. A 'SON ET LUMIERE' experience.
A must see attraction for a great view of the Gardens and Sands Hotel.

Took a while to find the Skyway, even with signposts, but I eventually found it, and it was worth the effort. Smaller than I thought...the whole Skyway can be done in 10-15mins. The views of not just Singapore but Singapore harbor were stunning. I was here when the Skyway first opened for the day so it was quiet, but I can imagine later in the day it may be busy; then again the view as the sun goes down and Singapore turns on its lights must be spectacular.

Have never been up the skyway since it open. Finally decide to take advantage of discounts to go up. The price, even for a local is not cheap actually. There were a number of people in the queue for the only lift to go up the skyway. The staircase was cordon off. So have to wait for about 10 mins, and to pack into the lift. The view is good but not high as the view are obstructed here and there by the cables. The distance is a short walk to the exit point and rather crowded at a narrow section. Getting down is a hassle as you still have to wait for the lift, with the staircase also cordon off....unless you ignore the barrier and just walk down. Note: as of the time of this review, the highest point at the Garden is the SUPERTREE OBSERVATORY, which has just been opened. It offer unobstructed views and is recommended if it's the views you are after.

We are tourists staying in Singapore for a few days. Upon my friends' recommendation, we purchase combo tickets including the Skyway, Flower Dome, and Cloud Forest.Â
We arrived at the Skyway at about 7:20 pm. The female staff at the line directed us to the ticket booth to get a time slot for admission. (We already have tickets.) We went to the ticket booth, a female staff standing outside the booth was giving out the small card with a time on it. (At that point, it was a 7:40 pm admission card.) When it came to my turn, the female staff very kindly reminded me that the last admission to the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest was at 8 pm. When I asked if I can get a time admission card later than 7:40 pm, she told me that they "don't do advance." But she also told me that I could come back later after visiting the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest.Â
However, when we came back after visiting the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest (at about 8:25 pm), the ticket booth was closed. I talked to the staff at the line, but it went nowhere. There was another couple facing exactly the same problem. I asked to talk to a manager. The male manager insisted that for safety reasons he couldn't allow us to go up. (This I understand.) I told him that I followed their staff's instructions, only to be turned away. He apologized for his staff's operational error, but insisted that he couldn't let us up. I asked for a refund, but he said that I can only ask for a refund through the agent.Â
I cannot accept the fact that he is willing to apologize for his staff's operational error, but pushed the responsibility for a refund to the agent through which I book the ticket. (What will the agent say? Oh, sorry, it's the problem of Skyway, not us.)
In the end, he offered to allow us (another the other couple) to go up on condition that (1) all the guests who have an 8:40 pm ticket have gone up first, (2) the line is gone before 9 pm, which is the endpoint of their operational hour, and (3) we can only stay up there for 5 minutes. Otherwise, we have to come back the following day. I reiterated to him multiple that we are tourists and our flight was actually the following day. He simply insisted that there was nothing else he could do.
To the supervisor/manager of Skyway:Â
From the conversations of this manager on-site and the other staff members, we (me and another couple) were not the only ones encountering this problem. The female staff at the line told the male manager that there were "a few other cases" like us.Â
We left at about 9:05 pm after the light show. There was still a line and people are still going up. (Didn't the male manager on-site said that the operational hour ends at 9 pm??)

Hi. I have some questions about gardens by the bay complex.
I'm wandering if I can purchase ticket only for CLOUD FOREST. If yes, how much is the ticket?
Moreover, about OCBC skyway, is forbidden to walk on in the night during the lights show? what is the closure-time?
Thanks a lot!

hi
for the Cloud forest you can buy the ticket directly from the site where you will also find the price.
for my personal experience it was not possible for us to stay on the catwalk during the show for safety reasons.
the ticket office closes about 40/45 minutes before the show, which however is very visible from the park below
ciao

Hi, is garden rhapsody show good to watch from ground or OCBC (Sky walk) ?

We went to the show with the intent of watching from the OCBC, but when we arrived, the queue was over an hour long. My recommendation is to skip it as it does not seem like you can predict that you will be on the OCBC when the show starts. Another advantage of being on the ground is that you get this surreal view of people huddled in groups in the dark all looking upward at the light show. Made for some fantastic photos.

Is it necessary to get tickets of dome as well to see skywalk ..or 8 singapore dollars is all we have to pay ?

You only need to pay 8 Singapore Dollars for the Skywalk ticket alone. Ticketing for the Skywalk is separate from the Domes - the Skywalk has its own ticket booth at the Supertree Grove, at the bottom of the Skywalk.
