- Pia_1234Perth, Australia14 contributionsAmazing aquarium!Amazing aquarium! I was absolutely blown away by how large and beautiful this aquarium was. I thoroughly enjoyed walking through and getting to see such a variety of sea life. We got there early in the morning so it wasn’t busy and we had lots of space and time to wander though as we pleased. Highly recommend a visit!Visited September 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 3, 2023
- ThefamilytravellerWhangarei, New Zealand193 contributionsGreat AquariumThis aquarium is well worth the visit when in Singapore. Being so large it is easy to see plenty and whilst there are a large number of people that visit we could view all exhibits easily. The main tank is huge and has some great viewing areas to allow you access to see as much as possibleVisited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 10, 2023

I especially enjoyed the huge open sea tank and watching the young rays chase each other. The jellyfish anc sharks were also amazing.Visited October 2023Traveled soloWritten November 6, 2023

- Hiru KBattaramulla, Sri Lanka208 contributionsA Must Visit with KidsA kid friendly and wheelchair friendly aquarium with lots of beautiful fish. There are educational stalls where kids got to touch certain sea animals as well. Overall visit require about 3-4 hours if you go with kids. The biggest fish tank had a mesmerising vibe with calming surrounding music.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 8, 2023
- Ashley LiewSingapore, Singapore113 contributionsMust-visit awesome aquariumFirst time here for me and our then 18-month toddler last month. We absolutely loved it! Perfect wet weather activity while it was raining heavily outside. The tanks were mostly big, and it was amazing to see all the sharks, manta rays, and many other sea creatures. It was a tad crowded when we initially went but the crowd later got dispersed so it was very enjoyable to take our time exploring the sights and sounds. If there’s one feedback we as parents have, it is not so friendly for pushing a stroller up from the car park, we had to walk a very big round to get to the nearest lift. Also wish there were a bit more diaper change stations which would help greatly.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 29, 2023
- Pirates who are EuropeanEurope583 contributionsAn amazing view of marine life.We went in the gap between Christmas and New Year and used the Faber cable car to get to Sentosa. There’s a free bus service from the cable car to near the aquarium. It was fairly busy the whole day but manageable. There are many large spectacular tanks holding a wide variety of species. The information on the displays works for adults and kids alike. The 5 year old in our party loved the variety amongst the large displays and the small ones were you can get very close. Just as you think your walking tour is about to end, another well designed display is round the corner. I can see how it can become very crowded in the high season. Divers were in some of the exhibits feeding some of the larger fish and performing other duties as well. This gives perspective of some of the larger ray etc. Other institutions should take note how well designed everything is.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten January 2, 2024
- Walkingprimrose413 contributionsVariety of sea lifeThis is one of the nicest aquariums I have ever been too. The walk ways that have sea creatures swimming overhead are truly like wandering around the sea floor. There is a mat tank where there is a huge viewing area. On the way out there are the sharks which are cruising over your head. Gorgeous exit through an educational display walk about coral and kelp. Be prepared for people to just push in front of you and run into the backs of your legs with pramsVisited January 2024Traveled with familyWritten January 12, 2024
- KirbyYeppoon, Australia112 contributionsJust beautifulA beautiful aquarium with lots to see and do. We were there for several hours and enjoyed every minute. There were some areas that could have been more accessible for people with mobility issues (the tables near the food were standing only and there was a lack of chairs). Overall though, a wonderful day.Visited January 2024Traveled with familyWritten January 29, 2024

Unlike other attractions which they employ time slot booking to ensure a pleasant time, unfortunately there isn't one here. You will not know the waiting time to enter or the number of people or crowd in the attration unless you are there in the queue itself.
Buying and booking a ticket online does not guarantee entry and there isn't a time slot to properly cater to the number of people attending this attraction.
I guess the company is desperate for money within this covid 19 pandemic and will just prioritize money and compromise on the experience of their visitors.
Case in point the marina bay cloud forest and flower dome requires time slot booking apart from ticket to ensure visitor number are well controlled and there is no crowd to await entry. RWS could have gone this route but monetary importance is imperative for them.
Overall bad experience as the waiting time is 70 minutes upon arrival. Opening time is limited so if you do come down make sure it's early. Better to Avoid.

My family visited at a time that wasn’t busy. This aquarium is large. It has many tanks and there were staff cleaning them. The fish looked healthy so from the animal perspective this was good. You can see that there is a fair amount of thought given to conservation.
Human perspective- We got hungry half way through and we’re faced with $80 a person 3 course meal where we could sit at a table and be treated like humans or buy some snacks and sit on the floor like dogs. Something in between would be good guys. Not a a lot of seating anywhere here really so do be ready to sit on the floor during feeding talks. Also we saw several people trip over the matting by the Caribbean reef section. It is dangerous so please be careful. (I’ll be happy to update this review if it gets fixed.)
Lastly, I love a personalised photo like anyone else but please do not put these in my children’s hands as we are leaving. It is an unfair sales technique and caused unwanted family tension when they had to give these items back.

I spent around 3-4 hours here - it was really fun to see the animals like sharks, jellyfish, and the feeding.
I would recommend checking the feeding timing beforehand, in order to have enough time to visit the exhibit during the feeding time. The shark exhibit (at the start) and the main aquarium (at the end) was fun!
The toilets could be easier to find though. Other than that, it's good!

Crowd management is horrific, where pre booking of time slots had to be made. Swarms of visitors crammed within limited spaces, and safe distances barely kept within the long queues for different exhibits. 40 minutes waiting time was expected. The frustrations are expressed on the tones & manners of many safe distancing ambassadors trying to herd us like schools of fish trapped in a suffocating maze. This defeats the whole purpose of prebooking time slots, as im certain that the venue is aware of the numbers yet are incapable of adequete handling... Oh and i must add that one safe distancing ambassador, thought it was a good idea to squeeze 5 people into ONE touch pool booth- so that she can clear the queue faster.

Brought my 4 year old niece, who understandably enjoyed the trip. We were there early, around 10am but it was already crowded. There were queues for everything (which was difficult to see because of how dark the place is), and staff/distancing ambassadors were yelling for visitors to move along even though we barely had time to spend at each exhibit. If the venue is operating under capacity, why is there still so much crowding? Please look into specific time slots to stagger arrival of guests.

Have not been there since the covid 19 lock down, so decide to utilise the SRV to change for a Sentosa Fun Pass. You need to exchange for an entry ticket at the aquarium before entry, subject to availability of visiting slots. You may have to wait if full. Strangely, we have to enter by the back entrance some 50 meters away, when the front entrance is just a few meters walk. I have visited the aquarium before but the route now starts from the basement. Though Monday, there's still a small crowd. The exhibits are fairly the same but much reduced. For instance, there is only a few Sea Horses in a small tank while the sea dragons have disappeared. AT the now new exit, or formally the main entrance, the decorations of ships hanging from the ceiling is gone. The whole area was largely empty and feelings of void. The Fun Pass cannot be used to purchase souvenirs, drinks or snacks. We left the aquarium very disappointed. Not worth to put any pictures here.

Went to visit this aquarium but upon arriving found they have captive dolphins and was told we could swim with them in tanks!! No thanks. Trying to pawn it off as ‘educational’ is not good enough, such a clean green forward thinking country having captive dolphins was a bit of a shock! Shame on Trip Advisor for having this ‘attraction’ on their website, elephant ‘attractions’ have been removed, same should happen to businesses trapping dolphins for our entertainment. If you have any interest in animal conservation, animal welfare or the environment in general I’d avoid this aquarium and not encourage dolphin abuse by spending your money here.

Definitely many species of fishes and all,, very cute jelly fishes no doubt about it but you can definitely skip it...
Also it is totally mismanaged, they will give tickets to any number of people creating a crowded mess inside the aquarium.... There were no lines inside just large group of people's trying to get a glimpse or pic of fishes/jelly fishes/frogs etc.
Worst part is they were giving trying to teach how oceans are getting polluted and aquatic animals are getting affected by that but they were printing pictures of everybody coming into aquarium for selling without considering the facts that 99% people don't buy them. Obviously all those prints will go into waste...

Extremely horrible customer service. I booked the tickets for 11 August but was informed that there were no slots available. When I emailed them back and tried calling them on the 11th morning to see if anything could be done as it was to celebrate my wife's birthday as she loves marine life, I was not able to reach them. Hence, I just made other plans to celebrate with my wife.
At 1.27pm they emailed back saying that my reservations are confirmed but I only saw the email at 3.50pm. Therefore, I asked them if it could be refunded as it was quite last minute notice and they were closing at 5pm.
Throughout the email chain, the customer service just kept saying that no refunds will be given.
Will never go back nor will I ever recommend anyone to visit such a place with such horrible customer service.

We purchased our tickets in advance over the internet, and this made entry very quick and easy. We visited on a Tuesday and during the reduced COVID capacity, and it was simply wonderful. It was easy to see all the displays up and close. There was no crowding, and people respected the social distancing with the help of the museum employees.
The museum itself is absolutely gorgeous. The aquariums are grand and diverse. I have seen other aquariums around the world, but this one is probably the best. I would definitely recommend!!

HI,, I want to take a cable car from Mt Faber to SEA Aquarium, are you bale to give me step by step directions, please?
Written February 13, 2023
THe cable car doesn't go to SEA aquarium nor particularly near to it. Its not really designed for being a transport method in the way you plan.
For the idea above you have to get to Mount Faber, use the cable car to Mount Imbiah and then walk a mildly complex route through the building site. Then at the end of the day you have to either discard half the cable car ride or go back to Mount Imbiah and then get off Mount Imbiah which is normally a cab and unless its around a popular meal time they arent that common up there (or you use Grab).
It would be far better (IMO) to treat the cable car as a ride from Sentosa and back to get the full ride and see things in both directions of travel.
You could then walk to SEA.
The route is complicated by the building works where the Merlion used to be but its broadly this:
Come out of the Mount Imbiah station through the shop, pass the Skyhelix tower and walk towards the old colonial building in front of you down a broad avenue - thats the Madame Tussauds/Images of SIngapore building. As you get near follow the railings round to the left and you will spot a staircase down (and if they have fixed it an escalator).
Go down these to the Sentosa cable car lines Merlion station. If the building is still ongoing you will have to follow signs as they move you around based on what works are ongoing. Cross the main building site to get to the Imbiah station of the Sentosa Express Monorail.
Again follow signs round the building screens to get onto the Sentosa walk that will take you either to the BullRing in front of Universal where you then bear left or go through the Resorts World area/Festival Walk from the bottom of the last staircase on the Sentosa Walk to get to the same area - for both you can do this by following signs to SEA which is on the waterfront.
