- Gina VOahu, Hawaii114 contributionsBest time You Can haveThe ticket that allows you to use the service get you a free gift. I was there at the early stages of Covid19 didn't seem like anything was happening there other than having my temp taken all over Singapore and each time I would get to the cable cars. One party per car which not being that busy as fine. Definitely recommend.Visited March 2020Written March 26, 2020
- Kaymtravel7Los Angeles, California800 contributionsNice walk to SentosaThis was a lovely walk from VivoCity to Sentosa island. It’s free to walk across, and maybe just takes about 15 minutes, depending how fast or slow you stroll. We chose to walk over to the island and take the Sentosa express back, which made everything free. There were some nice views along the way.Visited June 2019Traveled as a coupleWritten May 25, 2020
- rama1Melbourne, Australia1,171 contributionsGreat stroll and a way to see the skyline of SingaporeYou have so many options here. Walk outdoors, walk undercover out of the sun or rain, stop for a snack half way, "walk" on the travelator. So many options. The views back to the city are impressive and seeing how strong the tide is is impressive.Visited March 2020Written March 15, 2020

We did the Boardwalk for the hell of it. It was ok I guess, beware of the heat! The war memorabilia was interesting. Would advise buying food and drinks from the 7/11 to save money.Visited February 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten February 17, 2020
- Roberts69Northampton, United Kingdom18,220 contributionsWalking the Boardwalk to Sentosa Island was a pleasant experience.Having been to Singapore 7 times and not ever making it to Sentosa on this visit I decided to visit and I opted to walk there from the VivoCity Mall at the Harbour Front precinct of Bukit Merah. I exited VivoCity following the signs in the Mall for 'Sentosa Boardwalk'. At the start of the boardwalk there is some history on Sentosa Island and also a large 'Sentosa Boardwalk' sign. The walk is not that far at 620m in length. It is a pleasant walk with flora and scenic views of the bay and the cable car. There is no charge to walk the Boardwalk into Sentosa and it was worth doing. Coming back to Singapore from Sentosa I caught the Sentosa Monorail from Beach Station to VivoCity Station, again this is a free service.Visited March 2023Written March 22, 2023

- paul g818 contributionsA great way to get to Sentosa IslandI didn’t intend to necessarily walk to Sentosa, as I thought you had to go by rail or vehicle, but found out I could when I arrived at Vivo City. Not only did it save the 4 SGD rail fee (which wasn't the reason I actually chose to walk) but it was a very scenic walk with city, water and bush views on the way. It was very enjoyable taking time to stroll along and it gave plenty of opportunities to interact with others on the way and share the experience. The only slight drawback was when getting to Sentosa the signage was a bit confusing but soon worked it out, sort of.Visited February 2017Traveled soloWritten July 3, 2017

It is from Vivo City to RWS. The broadwalk also has cover and horizontal elevator to make the walk comfortable.

This is a great alternative way to get to and from Sentosa Island and Vivo City Shopping Centre.
If you are going to Sentosa Island to see the Crane Show, The Tricky Eye Museum or S.E.A Aquarium you will possibly walk less distance using the Sentosa Board Walk than catching the Mono Rail.
The Mono Rail will take you to far and then you have to walk half way back from where you just came from.
There is some great places to stop and take photos.
Try watching the Crane Show from here.

This is wonderful and very nice path made of wood above the sea boarder. If you have two hours free you must use this Boardwalk to reach the Sentosa. The entry is free via the Sentosa Boardwalk. There is no fear of rain it will shelter you from the elements. In the peak season there is always long Queue for the Sentosa Express or the bus and you can easily access the boardwalk and it will take 15 minutes to reach the destination using this path. For those looking to unwind before or after your visit to the Resort, head to The Wine Company located at the halfway mark of the boardwalk. Sit back, order some wine and food and savour a scenic view.

Hi, I lived in Singapore 2 years ago and they were in process of many different ways to achieve this. I do not want to say positively, but if you go to Sentosa Island website they may have current updates.

Hello, If we arrive on Sentosa by the cable car, how far is it to the Boardwalk walk? And how long does the walk take please?

Hi Laura,
Sentosa Boardwalk connects the Sentosa island to mainland of Singapore. You can either take a cable car to Sentosa from Harbour Front station or walk the way to Sentosa from Vivo City mall.
If you reach Sentosa by cable car and take Sentosa Boardwalk you would walk back to mainland Singapore.
It's about 1km from Sentosa Cable Car station to the 'Sentosa end' of the Boardwalk.
The sentosa boardwalk is under 1km and will take about 15mins if you walk leisurely. There are a few moving walkways along the walk.

Hi I will be visiting Singapore for week with my wife and toddler. Planning to take his pram / stroller along. How convenient is it to take the pram in MRTs and whether is it allowed to carry in MRT. Can I carry my our own stroller on sentosa island ??

Hello,
This is Mrittika from India. Am visiting Singapore-Sentosa from 23-Feb'15 till 1-Mar'15 for vacation along with my parents. How far is this destination and how do I get to this destination using public transportation from Siloso Beach Resort (Sentosa) ?
Thanks.

If staying on Sentosa then most hotels provide courtesy buses to Vivo City, and once you alight the bus there the Broadwalk is just a few steps away. If only visiting Sentosa then I would suggest leaving the Broadwalk until the end of your visit there, and exiting via the Broadwalk. To get to Sentosa from Singapore take the MRT to Harbourfront station and then take the Sentosa Express monorail. The Sentosa Express costs S$4, or entry via the Broadwalk costs S$1. Once on Sentosa all transport (buses, Sentosa Express and beach tram) are free to use. However, from now until the 28th February entry via the Broadwalk is free of charge on weekends only.
