Sacred and downright beautiful, the Simala Shrine is a splendid monastery with a medieval castle-like architecture. Known as a miraculous church, Simala Shrine is usually flocked with pilgrims who would pray and show their devotions to Mother Mary.

Good structures inside and really have a beautiful scenic view. You love to pray solemnly because the environment is quite. I swear nice place to visit. Include it in your itinirary no regrets at all. I so love the place and the church inside.

When you go to the Simala Shrine, you are in heaven!.It's a long ride going there from the city...with all the traffic and stop over, but it's worth it. The best place to visit when you are in Cebu. It's located on the south side...More

A holy place where you can pray and make wishes. You'll also see a lot of religious statues. Modest dressing is required.

In my opinion, this is not suitable as a tourist destination. This is a sacred place- for praying, worship! It was hair raising to see hundreds of letters from those who experienced miracles or thank you notes from answered prayers.

Also close to great wall of china. The place was nice. People really follow the rules. I like how us filipino christian believers patronize places like this.

Visited this place the 3rd time around but the architecture still amazes me. There's also a mass that you can attetend. you can also light candles and pray. There's pictures of answered prayers and their testimonies.

Simala is known for a Catholic Devoted Christian. If you have faith in God, You need to have actions.

A place wherein you can express your feelings through prayer. This is very religious place..The best place to go before going anywhere else to thank & praise GOD for everything. For without HIM, we are nothing!

My mom is 70y/o and managed to climb up to the shrine and back without a problem. Of course we took our time though. We didn't rush her..Took a few pics. The ramp is nice and easy for seniors in my own honest opinion.
