- royce rFlorida1 contributionBeautiful beachThis was my second visit to the island. Once again I stayed at Station 3 as I find this end has less tourists around and it is quieter at night. Plenty of tourists coming and going each day. I noticed along Station 3 many of coconut trees where people walk have coconuts on them. This is a very dangerous environment to be walking through. I did not check whether Stations 1 and 2 were similar. The beach is absolutely stunning...clear water...white sand and amazing sunsets but there are no rubbish bins except for 3 in the centre of the beach area so be prepared to carry it with you and there are no public toilets unless you eat at a restaurant and even then a lot don't have toilets.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 17, 2023
- Wayne OCanberra, Australia142 contributionsThe best way to enjoy your stay in Boracay. We spent full days on this beach and loved every moment of it! As Australia's, we love our beaches, but this was something else. The white sand, the beautiful clear warm water. There's fish that swim amongst the swimmers, it's really amazing. All along the beach you have restaurants and shops. It's great to swim for a few hours, get something to eat, buy some gifts, and then go back to the water. We had two teenage children who were having fun the whole time. The only thing I saw my kids on their phones was in the hotel room. Don't worry about sitting on your towels and getting sand on them. You can hire mats on the beach and sit on those. We are already planning our trip for next year.Visited July 2023Traveled with familyWritten May 17, 2024
- OeliramJerusalem, Israel146 contributionsBest beach!Best beach we've ever been to. Soft white sand, turquoise water so clear and clean that you can see your feet even when it's deep. - SBVegasAdventuresLas Vegas, Nevada300 contributionsBeautiful but can get busy and crowdedCaticlan Airport can be a hassle with double security checkpoints and having to take a bus to and from the plane. The ferry and related fees is also a hassle but once you are there, it is a very nice place to be. I enjoyed my visit but it can get crowded. From tourists to boats and even a few feral dogs, there are few secluded areas of this beach but walk a few miles and it gets less crowded. Everything you need is right on the beach and there is vibrant nightlife too. All depends what you are looking for so if you want beauty at the center of the action, this is the place.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 24, 2024

Maybe Borocay was beautiful a few years ago, now is just packed with Turism... it’s impossible to move after the sun sets, the restaurants aim mostly for the Chinese tourists (there is a Mac, KFC and Starbucks at the beach?!)
Either you pay to stay at a private beach, or you must love to hang with 100 people around you. If neither of these options suit you, don’t come.

This approximately four-kilometer stretch of white beach is definitely Boracay Island's main attraction. It's the main reason why people visit the island. It may not have the whitest and the finest white sand in the country, but it's got a really nice one and great lukewarm clear waters, too. There are times of the year when green moss cover many parts of it, so be sure to check out the best season of the year to avoid this. In summer, the white beach gets pretty crowded and the cost of accommodation at the beachfront resorts is more expensive than usual. There are also many agents who try to give you their offers as to the water activities one can do in Boracay. Be sure to canvass and compare the prices first before you decide. Some of them are simply overpriced.

As if I had died and went to heaven, so goes the world's best compliment.
White Beach has the finest, whitest sands, a long shore and no rip tide to watch out for. No sharks either, just assertive locals exhibiting entrepreneurial spirit by offering boat rides.
Somehow the water was cool in February, when frequenters tend to expect warmth here in Southeast Asia. Blame the water temperature on the tragically melting glaciers, said my brother in law. But the water is so calm and soothing it's easy to forget the chill and luxuriate in its caress with the breeze in your face.

Boracay has fantastic sandy beach with beautiful sunsets but the beach is full of tour agents and staff touting massage services - it totally ruins what should be a relaxing holiday. On top of that you then have the paddle board operators all along the beach too. Then there are all the restaurant staff standing outside waving menus … So if you want a quiet relaxing beach then avoid White Beach on Boracay
I can’t understand the authorities allowing so many tour agents - just 20 on the beach would be more than enough instead of well over 100 - you can’t walk 10 metres without coming across another tour agent waving a card with the same photos that all the other tour agents have.

Crystal clear blue and green water, talcum powder white sand. Nature gave this beach everything and it is super clean since the closure. There isn't a lot of shade now so mornings and sunset are best. I was there during a very quiet time, which was heaven. I t can be hard to find a peaceful spot during peak times.

There are a ton of cool bars and restaurants located along this beach. I went here with some friends from work and we had a grand time . When you travel to boracay this is the best place to stay. The water is not too deep and progresses slowly with lots of Room to Wade. The waves aren't so bad either. It offers the best sunset views around with sailboats in the background.

It’s an amazing beach with white sands and blue clean waters. Advantages: clean, beautiful sunset and sunrise, lots of restaurants and bars, coffee shops. Disadvantages: quite crowded, pricy goods in shops, very crowded with tourists. Also hotels and hostels are quite expensive in high seasons.

Sand is still awesome. Clean-up was happened a while ago and it would not hurt to remove those sticks leaves and other organic rotting debris from time to time as well. Anyway, the beach is still one of the most beautiful around.
As for the other side of the beach walk, incredible changes happen. Not necessarily for the good. So many big resorts and hotels side by side. We somewhat miss the old Boracay here, the place where backpackers, divers and people for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing meet. But that is just how times are heading to, consuming, commercialized environment as every tourist hot spot.
Don’t get me wrong, it it good to be here, hotel is nice, staff everywhere friendly and attentive. Food is mainly a ripoff, you must be lucky to pick the right location. Restaurants of big hotels are no Garantie for good food - we rather experience the opposite - lousy food but highly overpriced.

The beach is beautiful, amazing and super . Unfortunately it is overcrowded all day long . If you are going to book a hotel better try not the center but the far left or the far right corner of the beach to avoid the crowds

the weather should be okay, so that's why thats the start of international tourist season. but, with climate change, expect some rain showers too
there are no more parties on the beachfront itself unlike before.
but there are plenty of places you can party that are not on the beach: dance clubs, videoke, live singers, performances, etc
have fun!

Hi I just want to know if my friend don't like hotel accommodation. Is there an apartment or house that I can accommodate?
Written July 27, 2019
Definitely! There are a lot of airbnb listings in the island, I advise to message them first prior to booking 👍
Written August 1, 2019
Hi, my husband and I had our hotel booking for 2 already but my son and his gf would like to come along. Is it possible for them to come with us and just made additional charges upon check-in? Will they be allowed to enter the island with us?
Written May 14, 2019
Yes, you can add but you must also book hotel in advance. Everybody who wants to enter the island has to register and show proof of their hotel booking for their stay on the island. Go to Caticlan port. At the front area go through to the left side and there are 2 offices. One is for paying for the boats, and the other is environmental fee. (Compulsory) When paid progress to the central entrance (roped off). After scanning of luggage progress to the right side and through the turnstiles. From there you must also register your name in the area provided and then queue up to get your boat. Transport other side awaits outside the port gate on the right. Have fun !

No more sunbeds on white beach. You may bring your beach towels for you to lie on. Resorts are also not allowed to put sunbeds and umbrellas on the white beach as it ruins the scenic view and to make it less crowded.
White beach is so much more beautiful after the 6 months close out. And lying in the sand with your beach towel is ok since the Boracay sand is fine and perfect.

Why is there no Tourist Police? or no one to help you if there is a problem? I was travelling with my two kids and my husband as a family and we were SEVERLY threatend by a group of drunken russians who partied all night in our neighbour guest resort. We talked to the staff and manager but all were in a state of shock about the rudeness and aggressionlevel coming from those people. They were all extrem fit and muscle and worse extrem high on vodka or else.
As this contininued many nights, after 3 nights i walked right over there with my crying baby on my arm and a very drunken woman told me to put to down the baby "so she could slap my w......emouth!" Wow-this Russians really are the tourists from Hell! No manners, no education an by their tattooes they all look like a big group of inmate escapes. What was totally FRUSTRATING was in fact that the Manager didnt do anything, he hide in is office playing invincible. There is NO Tourist Police like in other places in the world and the real Police of Borocay asked if there is a fight and as we denied they somply hang up the phone!!! So Mr. Duterte we hope that not only will the island be clean in 2018 but as well safe for woman with children who get harrassed and terroized by drunken russian mafia tourists-thank you for listening.
