Nothing compares to the sunsets and pristine sands of this jewel. Seemingly overrated and overexposed but the closure did wonders! Majestic!

I love what they did in Boracay, the beach is now wider as they have pushed the establishments farther away, much more cleaner and easy to find trash bins everywhere unlike before, security personnels are very visible around especially at night, overall the place doesn't...More

It the busiest beach front in the area. Lots of shops and restaurants, but everything by the beach is slightly more expensive

White beach is a pretty crowed beach but clean and safe! When I say safe, I mean you can walk barefooted along the beach without worrying of broken bottles or whatsoever! The sand is super soft I almost ate it! Water is colder than beaches...More

This is now cleaned up and the encroaching resorts have been pushed away to make it an open and lively beach experience.

New Year's dash to Boracay - White beach or diniwid? (14 Replies)
Hi all, My boy and I are planning a trip to Boracay and I need help on where to stay (have been hitting availability hurdles and super price hurdles) Have narrowed it down to a choice between beautiful white beach (assuming we can secure some accom at this late stage for our price range -$150-200 AUDp/n) or quiet diniwid. Does anyone have an opinion for dec/jan? WIll station 1 be super packed? But is Diniwid not as nice a beach? I've narrowed it down to West cove/spider house on Diniwid or...More

Are there any luxury resorts on Boracay that are not on White Beach? (For example, a resort on the opposite side of the island, where there is less tourism?)

agree with tommy, It is at 5 p.m and if you got a taxi you may just about make it otherwise you can stay in Manila or if you want to get there earlier you could stay in Batangas, there is not much to do there but if I miss the last ferry stay at the budget option "travellers inn" which is around 800p for an A/C room 0437236021 or cell 09186998423 p.s. I know you are interested in sea codnitions, I was over at White Beach today, weather was overcast but the sea was lovely and warm and...More
