- Miguel N11 contributionsThe Last Wild Beach in BoracayAs Locals say: The last wild beach in Boracay!! Nice, quite and not crowded beach (at least on this specific day - 24th December)...sand is a bit more rough compared with White Beach, but a much better place for people that like quite places...Don't expect fancy places to eat, because the ones available are the traditional Filipino stalls, but the food is good. Eat on beach can be fancy. We stayed at Fairways and it was 150php to get there.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 23, 2023
- David CCamden, Australia24 contributionsYapak/Puka beach boracayWe were told this area is more secluded. Going from station 1 at fairways bluewater resort it costs 200-250php takes 15 minutes. We went early so the tuk tuks didn’t really want to takes us as there were no return rides for them. I understood this so i gave the driver a tip to make up for his return. It is rougher at this area going in. The beach sand is good and the water cool and clear. There are little open cafe grills and souvenir stalls. The guys who run the beach will provide you with a mat to lay on and will fetch you cold drinks food etc. some will want you to pay for the boat trips over to the cave lagoons. I was a bit unsure of pricing for this so we skipped it but the caves looked nice on the pics. We only went there to swim really and check it out. It was a nice visit lovely beach We bought a few beers nearer lunch but they were not cold enough so expect that. - D&M FoodiesPort Moresby, Papua New Guinea136 contributionsA paradise ruined from the manThe beach with her particular sand mix with thousands of small shells is absolutely beautiful, the colors of the water and the extensive area with pals complete the scene. Unfortunately this beach, accessible by walking or e-trike from station 1 is crowded of boats from the island hopping. Making very difficult and dangerous to swim here. The large quantity of vendors attracted here from the hi land hopping, make almost impossible to enjoy and relax. Please remove all of this.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 25, 2024

The beach is far from the well known Station 1 to 4 we're most of the people flock together. But Puka beach is indeed one of the scenic place to visit while in Boracay. Sunset in the area is indeed awe inspiring, and of course the locals are very accommodating. You can look for Mark (aka. Toto) if you need unforgettable photos for you to keep. Most of them offer their photography skills for just a tip and its worth it. If you need a land base tour guide I strongly recommend Sir Noel Talanas just search him online or visit the famous Jonah's Fruit shake and ask for sir Noel because his wife Novie is working there.

We took an e-trike to Puca beach (100 to 150Php each way for the 3 of us) and it is a nice beach. Not as clean or nice as white beach but it is good to see it. The shell art is cheaper here than in Station 1 to 3. We went on a day when it was a little windy and the boats which take tourists to the beach were struggling to land. You can take a boat there but e-trikes are more environmentally good and from what we saw, the people coming on the boats did not see the main shops at the entrance to the beach but rather sellers who run to the boats to sell their shells. I would not recommend swimming at this beach as it gets deep quickly and looks to have strong rip currents.

So overpriced! While we understand that we need to order drinks to be able to rent a beach mat, the price of p350 for a mango shake at the beach is too much. It's the same price at a 5-star hotel in the area! Then the lunch... a rip-off! They even tagged on a service charge for service at a shack with the barest minimum. We know the hospitality industry is suffering but how can this area attract local tourists at this rates? Calling DOT...

This was a great beach to see because it was very open. Not too many people about. If you have children, you should be careful because it gets deep very quickly and the waves can be unforgiving. It is only a 200 peso trike ride from white beach or you can rent a private boat for 3000 pesos for 3 to 4 hours and they will take you snorkeling too.

This beach was such a discovery for us during our Boracay stay. It is really amazing beach with crystal clear water and almost white sand. Sand is not as white as on the famous White beach but still very beautiful. Tricycle ride from Station 2 to this beach was 150 PHP and ride lasts about 20 minutes. We went there twice and enjoyed it a lot. It wasn't crowded. I highly recommend it!

I love this beach. The water is more rough but same colours as at the other side, white sand and clear blue water. Maybe less suitable for families with small children since the sea is less safe here. Not so many facilities on the beach itself but that's the charm. To arrive there just hold a tricycle at the main road in direction to the beach, you will only pay 15 pesos.

Even though the waves were a little high, we insisted on placing this on our island hopping itinerary. It was the best section of our Boracay stay. Pristine natural white sand beaches without the hustle and bustle of White Beach. This is the type of beach and atmosphere that makes the trip worthwhile. Very refreshing!!!

At the North end of the island, Pukka Shell Beach provides a welcome alternative to the over popular and over commercialised White Beach. Go up there on one of the bone shaker trikes; much more of a locals beach without all the hype, restaurents and slefie stick groups all over the place.
Some local craft shops, basic bars etc
Strong waves in parts so careful for swimming and especially with kids; also can be a bit windy
Partial sunset views at one end of the beach as photos show
Worth a trip up for sure even just to get away from the crowds!

This beach is far less crowded than the White beach. Most people come via the boats and leave with the boats. Leaving the beach empty. Get there via tricycle 300 PHP for the whole tricycle. 10-20 shared
There are a few stalls selling trinkets and small food stalls
The beach itself is amazing.

I went to this place as part of the Island Hopping package and I can say that Puka beach is much better today. It now has snacks, shakes and drinks in the area, unlike last time where it was only shells and sands. The shakes though are a bit pricey, they range from 250 to 400 per glass.

Hi, we are staying at Movenpick on NYE. Some of our friends are staying in White Beach. If we went to visit them and celebrate NYE with them at White Beach, how would we get back to Movenpick and what is the latest we could get away with traveling back to our hotel? I don't want to get stuck in White Beach that night when I imagine most rooms will be sold out worst case scenario. Also, if there is transportation to get you back at say 1am, is it safe to travel the road at the time of night?

We always used the toc tocs (motorcycles attached to kind of cabin). Some can take about 7! I would arrange to have one pick you up late into the night. There are almost no other public transport possibilities but the hotel could also send you one of these. Enjoy the island and I hope the pollution problem has been resolved. I think it would be safe and distances are really short .

Hi - how would we get there from White Beach please? thanks :-)
Written November 3, 2017
Hi Dianne,
The only way that I know of is by getting into a bangka boat. You can either charter the whole boat or just pay for per person charge . You will have to wait for some time though if u share with others. Lots of guys will approach you at the beach for this island hopping adventure, so just get the cheapest you can find :) (cheapest i found out was 400 peso per person - 4 islands & lunch)

Hello everyone!
I was told by my photographers that I need to pay for photoshoot permit to take photos in Puka beach and certain parts of Boracay. However I searched online for more information, there was nothing mentioned about photoshoot permit in Boracay. I wana ask has anyone encounter or paid for the photoshoot permit?
Written January 27, 2016
i've been here in boracay for almost 2 years and i haven't heard about a photoshoot permit. if they have that would be nonsense as it is nature.

How far is Yapak from the main Jetty?
Written May 23, 2015
The beach is exactly on the opposite side from the Jetty port, you have to travel the entire length of the island, about 7 o 8 km. Surely not by walk!

Certainly it is indeed a nice, quiet and relaxing place, nice to walk along the beach shore.
