Ilig-iligan Beach, during the months of June to November, is simply beautiful. While the winds and waves batter White Beach, in Ilig-iligan, the sea is very calm. The sand is powdery and cool to the skin even during day time. Moreover, there are very few establishments here so the pros are it is very quiet and peaceful and cons are there are no alternatives to food or drinks except those stores that are already there.
If you want the relative peace and quiet that you get from Puka Beach and the sand and water similar to White Beach, I strongly suggest Ilig-iligan Beach.

Ilig-Iligan Beach is lovely if you want to get away from the crowds
But please be aware that the waters off the beach experience strong, fast currents and a serious Rip Tide. Swim with caution! The island has lost visitors and locals to this rip.

Its almost absurd how beautiful this beach is yet how empty it is. No one comes here because it is far from the main touristic area (150 pesos by tricycle) but the tiny limestone cliffes islands just off shore give it a unique type of beauty well worth the distance.
Combine it with a visit to puka beach, about twenty minutes walk away.
Didn't give it full marks because I saw a jellyfish there!

Not known to the normal tourist.. and hopefully not to the large (Chinese) crowd. The beach is not that clean coz there is no resort or hotel maintaining it, but you'll forget about that if you enter the water and enjoy the rest of scenery.

Another place that you would stop by for snorkeling and picture taking activities in Boracay. There a few friendly vendors who will sell you knick knacks - haggle if you can. Lovely place and quiet.

Aside from the Puka Beach, swimming here is better than staying at the White Beach. Pristine water, fine white sand, clean, and less humans.

Went with a friend to experience this Magnificent isolated beach just after lunch hour by hopping on to a bike which haggledly cost us 400pesos each since we wanted them to wait for us for an hour while soaking in the sea and taking pictures! Was a real cut throat!! The beach here is totally quiet and calmer compared to the busy White Beach.
Water was crystal clear and a lil more stony. But otherwise, it was PERFECT!! Just love the lapping sound of the waves and the cool blue waters!! My friend dived happily like a dolphin! 😁🐋🐬
The moment we reached Ilig-iligan from afar, we could see the beautiful sea from the hilly road! Just so tempting! A Must to visit apart from Puka Beach!!

Is it ok to go to for a solo traveller?

Yeees! It's amazing for a solo traveller :). There is a local family on this beach where you can eat, drink and even rent snorkel. I believe it's safe, the only thing is about trnasportation. You can go there with anything you want, but there will be only motorcycle rides back from there. Enjoy!

I went to twice to this beach. Each time i went by tuk tuk and there where 2-3 guys with motorcycles available so I left like this both times. I did not pay the tuk tuk to wait for me :)
