This was a Long great day. It’s about a 4-5 hour drive each way. I stayed in Puerto Princesa Palawan. This is one of the beautiful islands of the Philippines. We had ventured out to the end of the island called EL Nido. It has to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. My driver Christian and boat Tour Guide John did a magnificent job exploring a handful of islands throughout EL Nido. We visit
Big lagoon
Simizu island
Secret lagoon
7 commando/papay beach
Tagaytay
These guys were courteous always asking me if I need anything and was really caring about my well-being. Thank you so much for the great time.

4x separate upfront costs - payment in cash only: 1). Private boat hire for 1300pesos/£19/$25, which fits up to 8 people or normal individual passenger ticket. 2). For each island you have to pay a varying degree of entrance fees per person. 3). For some, you pay an additional environmental fee per person. 4). Then you pay for the 'buffet' per person (300pesos/£4.50/$6) which is limited and about 4-6 serving stations. To make it even more confusing, you have to make each of the above 4 payments at separate desks, which are side by side - eventually you get lost on what has been paid for.

Each island is 'slightly' unique and different. Each island is roughly 5-15mins apart, short journeys, in comparison to other island hopping tours in other countries. Each island has a swimming area, inner area for eating, 'cottages'/huts for private hire, and boat docking area where you can fly your drone only in this area.

We visited Honda Bay for a day of island hopping and were told we would be going to 3 islands.
We were put in a group of approximately 12 people and given a boat (complete with boatman and guide). The first stop was not an island, it was just a floating pier. However we were able to get off and into the water and snorkel and it was beautiful, this area was called Pambato reef. I personally did not mind going here at all, but I know some people were upset to visit one less island.
We then proceeded to Luli Island and Cowrie Island. I would recommend bringing water shoes as there are stone fish and jelly fish on these islands.
Luli is a very small island, and disappears at high tide. We were served a buffet lunch here and water was available.
Cowrie had a bar and restaurant and was probably most people’s favourite island. You can do lots of activities here such as banana boating.

Overall a good day was had :)

Must do in Puerto Princesa! Seeing all 3 islands and their clear water was so beautiful. Boat ride was fun. Highly recommend getting snorkeling gear (You’ll stop somewhere along the way to get some if you don’t have any). The lunch on Starfish island was delicious. Great tour guide. Highly recommend this tour.

If you have enough free time in Puerto Princesa, you may consider taking this tour. However, do not expect too much from this tour. It is just so-so compared to the island hopping tours in Cebu or Kota Kinabulu (Malaysia).

The islands seemed fine with basic facilities and clean toilets. The water was not particularly clean, but we managed to see colourful fishes in the shallow water with our snorkelling gear (rented from the shop the tour guide took us to. One funny note: the rental for snorkelling gear at the wharf was cheaper. But overall, it costs very little)

On the second island where we had delicious buffet lunch, we jumped in the water from a hut of 3m height. Right there, we found at least 2 or 3 starfishes lying on the sand. Do remember not to hurt them and just put them back to where they are from.

The last island was absolutely boring to us. We were exhausted by the previous two islands anyway. We enjoyed our banana milk shake and they sold cocktails there lol. Massage services were available too, but in an open area with very little privacy.

To us, it was a leisure tour and it was worth the price we paid. Nothing more than that lol

ps dont go to those sand castles for photo taking. They will charge you for that!

Though the local operator World Holiday is hard to reach ahead, we are thankful for the driver assigned to us coz he was very accommodating and brought us to a cheaper souvenir shops , unlike the previous van driver of our Nagtabon Beach Tour from a different travel agency. Due to his kindness its a pleasure giving him a token.

I love to travel and puerto princesa is one of the destinations i love visiting i would definitely come back. The tour is on time the tourguide joanna is very knowlegeable and professional. We had 3 days tour the first day was firefly it was magical i am surprised that nowadays in modern world fireflies still exist. The Underground River tour was an adventure i cannot forget. Its the firsttime i entered a cave its really dark inside. On the last day we had tour in honda bay we went island hopping. Though its not sunny we still enjoyed and had a good time in palawan.

Loved our pick up and drop off, all activities planned. Except for our guide on the island hopping in El Nido, everything was great especially since we chose Aziza hotel and Covo hotel In El Nido was chosen for us. Both were awesome hotels and locations. Maybe we should have stayed one more day in el Nido and not have to drive the curvy road in the dark to PPrincesa. This agency was wonderful in that they were flexible in adjusting to our flight schedule from
pAL that was so delayed . Definitely recommend this agency.

We enjoyed the convenient private transfer between Puerto Princesa and El Nido & vice versa in the comfort of the Starex van World Holiday Travel and Tours provided. Eman, our driver was polite, prompt and drove us safely.

The private transfer is highly recommended as the 4-5 hour drive is quite tiring. Having your own transfer makes a big difference as you can fully recline your seat and comfortably sleep all through out the journey.
