This trip took us to three of the islands around Honda Bay: Starfish Island (my favorite because I saw a lot of starfish whole swimming), Luli island (kind of small so not much to see, but this is where buffet lunch is served, included in tour price), and Cowrie Island ( stop here for more swimming, snorkling, massage, or just laying on the beach). We spent about 60 - 80 minutes at each island. I did not feel rushed at any time. Snorkling and towel rentals available at a small shop the tour van stopped at before our destination. There were 12 guests in our group which made the van cramped. They should limit the group size to 10 so we do not feel like sardines. 🙂 The water was murky at Luli and Cowtie but warm. I took this tour February 2020 and the weather was mild about upper 70 degrees Farenheit. When scheduling this tour, look for an email or text from the tour operator confirming pickup at your hotel. If you do not see one by the day before the tour I recommend texting or calling them to confirm. That is what I did to ensure no mixups with my reservation.

Honda Bay is a great place to see and try all the activities it offers. The tour I took was overall good, nothing extra tho. The hotel pick-up was a bit late, no information what so ever. On the way to Honda Bay we stopped at a shop to hire snorkeling grear and water shoes. They said this would be the only place you could hire this stuff, although, you could hire everything where you get on board for less price. I actually ended up buying my own water shoes, so I could use them the next days as well.
First we stopped at Starfish Island. It is beautiful! We were one of the first boats to get there, so it wasn't busy at all. The sun was perfect and we found some starfish which made my day. Next we went to Luli Island where we had lunch. Well, I might be picky but that lunch was just not my cup of tea. The dessert was good tho.
Unfortunately, after having lunch the weather turned quite cloudy, the water was a bit cold, so we couldn't really enjoy the time there. I must admit, the island was still quite lovely.
Last stop was at Crowie Island. This was the best island but heavy rain hit as we got there. Given the fact you got wet anyway, I went swimming. The water was warm and perfect for swimming. We had the most time here (1.5hours) but unfortunately the rain didn't stop.
I went back to Luli and Cowrie Islands 2 days later on my own, I have to admit, I should have done this at the first place! It was actually cheaper than an organised tour and I really enjoyed it. I tried banana boat at Cowrie, OMG, that was sooo much fun!! You can also try jet-ski but I haven't. Must be fun too I guess.
Overall, Honda Bay is a nice bay with lovely islands, you must visit some of them if you are in Puerto Princessa/Palawan.

Nice day out but first 2x islands very touristy and limited snorkelling. Final stop at the reef was better with lots of fish, but sea very choppy as was windy (might be better on a clear day) and water visibility not great. The actual pickup and drop off took much longer than expected due to having multiple passengers, but met some nice people. If you like snorkelling, apparently El Nido much better, this felt like a bit of a “tourist trap”.

I don’t recommend to take this tour!

It’s a waist of money, time and positive emotions that you can get in another place!

Island’s that you visit are boooring and nothing to do, maybe some photos to take.

1st island is just a small beach with bar where you can buy drinks (30 min to spend there)

2nd island is the place where you can swim with fishes, but all natural beauty’s are destroyed by tourists or waves, there is a limited place for snorkeling and a lot of peoples just walking on the corals and destroying everything. (1 hour to spend)

3rd island “is the best island for snorkeling, we will spend there 2 hour’s” the guide said :D, in the snorkeling place is also a jumping place. Place for snorkeling its very small and other tourists are jumping near you while you try to see some fishes water is getting very sandy and blurred (2 hour’s spended on a “very interesting island”

Better spend this time getting to El Nido :) and its more cheaper!

P.S. 2020 1700 pesos + 400 for mask and shoes rent!

Have a nice trip!

We weren’t able to visit Starfish island because of the tide so were taken snorkelling in a reef instead - having never really snorkelled before it was a bit unnerving being left to get on with it myself (it was a deep part of the sea cordoned off with buoys and a floating jetty with several outriggers beside it) with no instructions from anyone there or really much of an explanation of where we were or how long we would be there for. Luli Island was our next stop, we had lunch there (a large buffet, it was okay) and either misunderstood our guide or were given the wrong information, but ended up being 20 minutes late back to the boat and were given an abrupt telling off and told that the other group members were angry at us; so for the third part of our trip (Cowrie Island) we made sure to stay close to the rest of the group so that didn’t happen again - and this time the guide was the one who turned up later than the time he told us to. Very strange tour experience but Cowrie Island was beautiful and swimming in the warm water there was great. They take you to a shop where you can rent snorkel equipment, buy dry bags for your valuables, sun cream, snacks etc before you get on the boat and do pick up/drop off at hotel. We didn’t learn anything from our tour guide about any of the places we visited which is a shame.

the islands have gotten pretty touristy, but still worth the dime. try to get a tricycle from puerto princesa for about 500 pesos, which is much cheaper than the tours. pay entrance fees and boat ride at honda beach.

Loved the day tour; all well organised, including pick up and drop off at the hotel. Friendly guide, watching out well for us. Brought us first to a location to rent for reasonable rates snorkelling gear and water shoes. Then we went to 3 islands. Snorkelling was only good at Starfish islands, on the other two islands water was not clear and not many fish. Lunch was OK - nothing exciting though.

We decided to visit only one island- Pandan. We were rewarded with extreme peace and quiet, our own cabin and a buffet lunch for the all in entrance fee. Well worth it for a relaxing few hours at the end of our stay in the area.

Had a great time with different island adventure activities. Love our stay, very enjoyable. Would love to go back and spend more time for this island tour together with my other friends. Very worth the package tour for they have a lot of activities to offer. Best way to start our summer getaway.

We had an island hopping tour last October 2019. It was an amazing experience. The place do not look abused despite the fact that there are a lot of tourist on the islands. It was a good trip. Want to go back again if given another chance.
