We did the 3D/2N trip from El Nido to Coron and had SUCH a wonderful time! It's a beautiful way to discover untouched islands in the Philippines where your boat is literally the ONLY boat in sight and there are no others except your entire bunch of people. The staff is extremely efficient and helpful, right from booking and pre-trip orientation to the crew onboard who made sure we had an incredible time and served us the BEST of food. The islands we stayed at were basic, but honestly so much nicer than we thought they would be. We were taken care of start to finish and this trip is worth every Peso you pay for it.

We had a great time with buhay Isla! The staf was very nice and everything was well arranged. We did nice things, like snorkelling, cliff jumping, swom into a cave. And the food they made was delicious!

PRE TRIP PREP I took the 3D2N June 7 to 9 boat expedition from El Nido to Coron. A day prior to the trip, I did my pre-trip orientation with Alia at the Buhay Isla office and she guided me thru the registration process and what I need to bring. DAY 1 The day of the trip, Alia picked me up at 730am with the other passengers. We were escorted to the port where we boarded. Immediately after we boarded, the El Nido magic started to manifest. The limestone cliffs that pervades the islands were so beautiful and majestic, I was in awe. On the way to our base camp for the night, we stopped in 3 different remote islands for snorkling, swimming and lunch. At 5pm we reached our base camp, a beautiful island with shacks for each guests. At 8pm, a delicious feast for a dinner was served. The boat chef introduced the different items on the table and with a blink of an eye, everything magically disappeared. DAY 2 The following day, we were awaken at 8am and served a hearty breakfast. The boat crew loaded up our bags and we departed for the 2nd day adventure. LIke the day before, we went to various remote islands for snorkeling, swimming and kayaking. A delicious lunch (lots of fish and seafood items in the menu) was served on the boat, while others swim, I watched the corals and fishes swim. I honestly have not seen so many fishes in a rainbow of colors. I did not even know that the corals dance and move like ballet dancers. Like the day before, I was just in awe of the landscape and topography. Base camp for the 2nd night was a beautiful deserted island. The shower facility was an outhouse where you take a bath by scooping the water out of huge plastic water container. Needless to say, a cold shower after a long day in the sun is like heaven. Dinner was served at 8pm, menu items were introduced by the chef, rum and coke flowed into the night and a bonfire was set up for everyone to enjoy. As there is not much manmade light in the island, looking up at the night sky you can see all the stars and constellations. with the moon shining so bright and oh so close to the eyes. I feel asleep on my cottage. DAY3 As this is the last day, we were awaken at 730am and a full breakfast was served. Again, there were lots of fruits on the menu plus an assortment of breakfast items - toasts, bacon, eggs, etc. We left at 8am for another full day adventure, visiting the more popular resort islands (more developed) like Nacpan. On the way, I noticed all the pearl farms marked by buoys. Again, I did not know that Palawan is a haven for pearl farming. Like the days before, a delicious lunch was served on the boat. We docked in Coron at 5pm and said goodbye to our new found friends! It was a wonderful and beautiful experience from the first day to the last. I HIGHLY recommend it. The experience was magical, the boat was comfortable and the staff was patient, accommodating and made all efforts to provide a once in life time experience. To Jordan and Brian (sp??) and to the 2 chefs, to the boat captain and his crew - kudos and THANK YOU!!!

Me and my fiancé did the 3 day 2 night trip during our backpacking through SE Asia and loved every second of it. We got taken to amazingly beautiful places where the main tour groups don't go, the food was incredible...really... INCREDIBLE! And the tour guides were really cool too. Snorkeling spots were awesome and we even saw turtles. We also got to snorkel near a sunken ship and cliff jump!
