- Katy SantosPhilippines516 contributionsLittle time to spend hereI went here prior to pandemic, This island has a fine powdery white sand that is really inviting! We stayed here for about 30 minutes or more. It was raining when we visited this island but that's fine since we get to try the local coco juice and still enjoyed the beach while raining. This island looks like an island from Survivor show with tall coconut trees, a quiet ambiance, and an amazing white beach.Written July 9, 2021
- llauraa-Helsinki, Finland163 contributionsBeautiful beach but too crowdedThis beach would be stunning if you were here just by yourself. When you combine it with 20 boats filled with other tourists, it quickly becomes less attractive. There were so many boats parked on the sand that there was not even space for swimming. Also try to avoid this place if the weather is very windy, we got eyes and ears so full of sand it definitely was not enjoyable anymore.Written April 7, 2020
- RonTaguig City, Philippines4,360 contributionsday tourwent here as a part of the day tour A. This is the first stop . the island is beautiful.. really liked the view but minus the crowd. its too crowded when we went here. you cant really go for swimming as lots of boats in front of the island, plus not much time to stay there they gave us like an hour only. One thing i hated in our trip was they dropped us in the island which is morethan 6ft deep water. even you have lifevest its very hard to reach the shore as the current is too strong. no wonder someone died in that area days after our trip.Written February 17, 2020

On the plus side there is barely any litter and they are trying to make a real effort to reduce plastic, especially bottles.
But there are just too many tours, too many people and as a result too much dead coral.
The boats drop their anchors anywhere.
Tourists are still standing in the shallow coral and bringing rubbish onto the beach.
The sand is lovely. Sea is warm.

This is the last stop of our island hopping tour (Tour A). Just an ordinary beach wherein you can lounge to kill time before your tour ends. The tree swing seems fun for the local and foreign tourists. Beach is clean and the waters are clear.
It was raining when we came here, but there are plenty of huts to get covered. But why should we? We came here to swim and enjoy the beach So rain or shine, this place is worth stopping by.

We stopped here first as part of Tour A. Weather was perfect. We snorkelled the whole time. Yes, there are other tour boats but you have room to snorkel. There was some nice live coral a bit of a distance out. Nice fish too. Saw a small lion fish :) It was some of the best coral of the day trip. It is not the Great Barrier Reef but it is still worth making an effort to snorkel here, just have to go out at least 20m or more from the beach

We visited this beach as part of Tour A boat trip. On arrival we were surprised at the amount of boats moored up there. Our trip the activity here was to snorkel. We were shocked at all the dead coral and lack of fish in the sea here. The beach was just ok it was extremely windy the day we were there (we may of just been unlucky) but the sand was made up of a lot of coral which made it very painful when being blown along with the wind. Having spent a week on Coron and a week in ElNido this was the beach we enjoyed the least.

Prior to reaching the Seven Commandos Beach which was the last stop of our tour for the day our boat broke down. After about 10 minutes the boatman discovered a dirty spark plug and re started the boat and we reached the Seven Commandos Beach.
Seven Commandos Beach is named after the seven Japanese commandos who were still on the island even after the war was over. The island is very popular with tourists and is dotted with many coconut trees. There is a small shop/bar on the island serving snacks and refreshments like the fresh coconut juice. The snorkelling is allegedly good but we didnt snorkel at this place as it was getting late and we wanted to reach El Nido town prior to nightfall.

This was our last stop on tour A. Here you can play volleyball, try the fresh coconut, swim and watch the sunset.

After travelling from Coron to El Nido through loads of tropical islands with pristine beaches, I didn't think this beach was anything exceptional other than you can see the sunset from this beach (you don't see the sunset from El Nido)

The place is a good spot for a swim. The issue is there's only a few meters left for the public to use. The newly built resorts are putting up barbed wire as fences. Would love to explore the island more but I think you have to stay in one of the resorts.

Why is it named like that? Seven Commando Beach?

Seven Commandors were planing how to get the territory, that is currently El Nido, on that Island and left 7 marks on the mountain at the island.

Who is the owner of the beautiful three storey house in Seven Commando beach?
So jealous! Other than drooling over the interior of this house, I wanted to ask the owner or contractor about the logistics of building a beach house in an island.
Thank you and more power.
