It was just a small lagoon where you had to crawl a bit to get to. Good for a quick stop in your island hopping tour.

we went to El Nido before the pandemic, unfortunately, we only got a glimpse of the secret lagoon due to high tide. We faced rough waters on our way there and on our way back. Sadly, I wasn't able to take a photo of it due to rough waves.

Again we were alone and could have stayed there for hours. It was really nice and the water was so green. The adjoining beach with the hut was likewise amazing.

If you go during high tide, it would be hard to swim through the hole as the current is also strong. Our guide made us lie down on our backs (3 of us) and held on to each other feet while he pulled us to get to the hole. It was worth the challenge. The secret beach is lovely.

El Nido has many beaches and lagoons that are on their island hopping tours. While they are all nice they do all start to look the same after awhile. Do the tours because they are worth it.

To access Secret Lagoon you have to do a little swimming from where the boats anchor out. The surf was a little strong, but fun. It just added to the excitement. Bring water shoes of some sort due to the coral and rocks you'll have to navigate over to get to the opening of the lagoon. Once inside you feel that you are in the belly of a volcano. The water was cloudy inside due to all of the tourist walking around. No problem with that, as you are just amazed of where you are. No snorkeling while there, we only had enough time to get to the lagoon, take photos and relax for just a few minutes. This place can get very busy and you're waiting in line to get in while others are exiting. Still a wonderful place to see.

This destination does not take a lot of your time as the lagoon is quite tiny. However, it is quite an adventure to get there especially on a windy day. We had to leave the boat far away from the shore and walk to the beach in huge waves, strong current and sharp stones. Then thrust ourselves to the lagoon through a small hole. I would still say it was worth is as the Secret lagoon was quite stunning. We were lucky enough to be the only group at that time, but I can imagine how crowded it gets in the busiest hours. The beach outside the secret lagoon is also beautiful!

Typically you will have to wait in line to get in. Make sure you can get your guide to take a photo from above to get the full effect of the lagoon

Small, secluded, surrounded by steep basalt walls this small lagoon is a hidden gem that you should not miss. Bear in mind that entering and exiting might not be an easy task if the ocean is a little rough; the entrance is rather small and tight, the walls are sharp and the waves can throw you here and there like a ragdoll. Do not forget to bring some sort of shoes to wear when you dispose of your fins because the water is so shallow that you will have to walk your way to the beach and the seabed is very rocky.
