We stayed on Balabac Island for four days and three nights. It was a long journey to get there because it is such a remote island, but it was well worth it. We had the best time with the best guide, Alison, and the best boat captain. Our days were spent island hopping, snorkelling, swimming, and eating delicious food. We stayed in these amazing wooden huts right on the beach.
I would definitely recommend this great life experience to anyone who loves nature and a bit of adventure! 🙂

Excellent, professional and prompt service! Highly recommend. I used them for three tours while in El Nido, Palawan and we had unique requests for each since we had a large party ranging form 19 years old to 87! Each time the communication was excellent via WhatsApp, and each of our tours were no hassle and were fantastic! Their responses were quick and any issues solved immediately. I would definitely use them again for any travel needs and they would be the first one I would check for any future tours. Their website is easy to use and has the pertinent information easily viewable. They would even follow up during or near the end of our trips to ensure everything was perfect.

What an incredible agency! Our tour operator for balabac islands had canceled and they put together a private boat tour in 6 days before our arrival which had very specific dates. You gave us the best experience ever!
P.s. for people who do not know how shared vans work in palawan, beware that it can take double the time if you have a bad driver who stops unnecessarily to see friends

The organisation with El Nido Adventure was a complet joke!

Starting with the pick up and the wreckless 130 km/h driving from Puerto Princesa to the Port we thought it could only get better. It didn't.
We arrived at the Port after a long 6 hrs drive, where the boat crew took our stuff and drove us to the first island. We expected a Guide from El Nido Adventure, that never showed up for the whole 4 days. We were alone we a crew, unable to speak a word of english and telling us what was going on.
So the first day, we didn't know what was going to happen, how long we would stay on a island, where we will be sleeping and if there was water or food for us or not. We were even asked to pay the entrance fee on the islands we visited, eventhough that was clearly included in the already very expensive booking.

It only got better, because there was a volunteer from Seatle on the last island we stopped, that could explain what the next days would look like.

The food that was prepared for us, was really nice, but the option vegetarian, vegan or pescatarian were not communicated to the Camp that prepared the food. So everything came with a little bit of pork or chicken until people said something. And even then the veggie option was really small, so the vegetarian were basically left with eating white rice and soysauce.

Day 2 and 3 were really nice with the island hopping, snorkeling and swimming. Eventhough it took up to an 1 hour ride to an island, where we got completely soaked on the boat, to stay 20 minutes for some pictures.

Day 4 is well explained on the website, another day of island hopping, lunch and then driving to Puerto Princesa. But the Crew had different things in mind. Their plan was breakfast in the camp and directly go to the port so that our bus can leave at 10 a.m to Puerto Princesa. Only after a long discussion with the camp and the crew, the kitchen prepared lunch for us, that we could eat on the boat, when we stopped for one island, that we already saw on the first day.

The scenery is very very nice in Balabac, the island are dreamy and it feels like paradise seeing the water in those amazing colors.

Nevertheless this review is about El Nido Adventure where no one cared to show up or to be responsible. Who let 12 people on a boat with 4 guys that cannot speak a word of english.
The only time we heared from them bis whatsapp, was when they asked us to send some nice pictures of us on the islands....

The 14'500 pesos per Person (+pay pal fee) are way too expensive for what you will get these 4 days and surely the Crew and the Camp don't see much of this money.

Hi Jana, Thank you for taking time to leave us a feedback, we really appreciate, this will help us on our future trips - to improve ourself more. In fact, we always strive hard improve our way of organizing trip in Balabac, since the tourism here in this part of Palawan has been increasingly gaining momentum as we speak. Taking all your feedback into note, we would like to thank you in pointing out what was good in your 4d3n balabac adventure trip, 👍 Thank you for telling everybody that the food served was awesome, yes all of it are source locally and only the FRESHEST goes to our TRAVELLERS belly. 👍 As for the vegetarean meal, we are working on it to serve more in the future and serve meals as preferred by our individual traveler. 👍 as for not having an english speaking guide on the first day, with the fact that we sent a new guide the next day that fully speaks english from seattle, until the end of your trip. 👍 Yes the island indeed is dreamy and paradise in every sense and we are happy to share that with everybody that wishes to travel in Balabac. 👍 Day 2 and 3, you had a wonderful time in your adventure in the island - soaking in the boat and having a great time of your life. As for the PRICING, we follow local guidelines for pricing and we can guarantee that. And as for where the money goes, most of it goes to the local business, camp, crew and stores. Again, thank you for taking time to leave us a review that we can work on looking forward. Enjoy your stay in the Philippines.

We did the 4 day 3 night balabac tour and the scenery was absolutely amazing. If it wasn’t for the natural beauty of the place though, this would be a 1 star review.

Our trip started pretty poorly, we were told we would be picked up at 4am so woke up at 3am to ensure we would be outside waiting. The driver didn’t arrive until 5:45 and we received no communication about this - if we weren’t in a WhatsApp group with the other customers of the tour, we would have thought he just wasn’t showing up.

The guides in our group were all friendly and nice, but I think they could probably do with a bit of training. They communicated nothing with us other than what time we would leave each day and what time dinner would be. We would ask information about the islands and they couldn’t tell us anything. It was only on the third day that we discovered there was a shop on the island we stayed on, selling everything we would have loved throughout the trip (toilet paper and rum mainly!).

Obviously, this wasn’t the end of the world as we were expecting to stay somewhere remote but the fact it had been there the whole time and we hadn’t been told when we arrived was pretty poor.

The food was pretty awful. We’ve spent two months in the phillipines and have had some amazing food on these sort of trips so that was very disappointing. Honestly, I’m not fussy and will eat anything but a few of these meals were literally inedible.

The drive to get there is long, which is fine. What’s less fine is the drive to get home taking 3 hours longer than it should do because the driver was running some sort of side hustle and taking detours off route to collect random people who he was cramming into our very cramped van. My understanding (with the price we paid!) was that this journey was a private transfer, not a public bus system. That was very frustrating as we really just wanted to get to our accommodation after 9 hours on the road.

Don’t get me wrong, the things that weren’t great about this experience would have been absolutely fine had we not paid a pretty extortionate amount of money. It seems to me that the $300+ dollars we each paid for the trip aren’t invested into the quality of the experience, but rather go straight in the tour operators pocket.

It’s a shame. If you are considering the Balabac tour, I would recommend looking at another provider like wander walkers who have great reviews and seem to offer better value for money.

Hi Elgill35, Thank you very much for your feedback, we really appreciate this, and see this as a constructive one. And thank you for taking your time to give, As for the guides and crew, we are constantly giving them training and evaluation after the trip, with regards to what we can do better in the future trip - and this feedback of yours will help us in looking at those parts of the trip we need to improve. As for the supply and mainly the rum you mentioned, we will consider including it in our future trip, As for the food, please be more specific, because we are serving only the freshest seafoods that we can get from around the island - and vegetables too , were you looking for something specific? So, this we can work out next time on our food menu, As for INEDIBLE, I can assure you that, whatever goes to the plates of our travellers during the duration of the TRIP are all EDIBLE and EATABLE. The last thing we want you to have is an UPSET STOMACH. As for the PRICING, we priced our products according only to the allowed pricing setup by the LOCAL Government - meaning all PRICES are controlled and we follow GUIDELINES in pricing. The MONEY goes straight to the people working with us, not the just the TOUR OPERATORS, but everyone in the island - the boatman, the guides, the stores, the government - that is why it goes straight helping the local livelihood. Of course as an operators - we are part of the income chain. As for the VAN SHARING, it was clearly stated in our website that all transportation is SHARED (and we are using local van operators services which part of your payment goes to), and that you will be sharing with other passengers, UNLESS you pay more for a PRIVATE VAN., We are curious, why you choose us instead of the other tour operators? Thank you and once again, we appreciate your FEEDBACK and will use it to improve our operations better.

We did a 3 day private tour at some islands around Linapacan.
Very nice experience as we visited remote places, we camped in the middle of nowhere and had simple good food.
Highly recommend for a genuine, relaxing non touristy experience.

we had opted for a private tour of two days one night. We were very happy. The crew we had consisted of Linda, Carlo and Sijey. They were great. Our kids loved them too. Linda's cooking was delicious. I highly recommend it was the highlight of our trip to the philippines.

We've booked 2 tours in Coron and 2 in El Nido and everything went well. The tours where bespoke, food included and the boat crew was very helpful.
All the communication worked fine through email and Whatsapp. I had no issues at all.
Since was a private tour the boat was smaller than the regular boat for group tours but still very fine.
I recommend them for tours in both Coron and El Nido.

My friends and I had a great experience with El Nido adventures. The crew was super accomodating and flexible and took care of all we needed during our trip. They took us to some amazing secluded beaches and great snorkeling spots.
