This was one of the MUST-VISIT places on my Puerto Galera Bucket List. It is a pretty sight indeed and a great spot to take photos of the natural beauty. There isn't anything else to do at the venue except for photo taking. We visited the area just after a rain so no one else was around and we were able to hog the entire waterfall to ourselves for photos. Be sure to look left and right for incoming vehicles when crossing the road as there is a curb just before the massive Tamaraw Falls rock carving that could be a blind spot for cars and tricycles.

It took us an hour to get to the Falls. The falls are by the roadside and there wasn’t a car park nearby. There are ‘No Parking’ signs but people just pulled to the side and parked. To them, it was just the norm and we did, likewise. The Tamaraw Falls is nice but not very impressive. The water from the Falls flow under the road and we could see it flowing down the mountain. The scenery on the way up, is nice. The children were very excited about the ‘water buffaloes’ and took turns sitting on them . Later, we drove to the beach where the water from the Falls, merged with the sea water. If you have a free day, it is a nice ride up the mountain.

If Tamaraw falls is en route to where you are going by all means it is worth a small detour but don’t go out of your way. The waterfall is “nice to see” and frankly I don’t mind paying a small entrance fee but definitely isn’t worth making a separate trip or outing out of it. 5 to 10 minutes is more than enough to take in the scenery and have seen it all.

The waterfall is directly located at the street, so easy access and no walking needed. There is space for stopping your bike or car, a pool (little fee) as well as souvenir and coconut stall. The view is really beautiful and easy for taking pictures. The one store sells delicious local wild bee honey 🍯
