The falls are named after the Mindoro Dwarf Buffalo called the Tamaraw which are now an endangered species. It consists of smaller waterfalls that combine into a larger waterfall that flows into a refreshing pool. On the way to Puerto Galera I suggest stopping for refreshment and taking pictures. i

The falls are not necessarily something of awe but you can bathe in the little natural basins downstream which are only a few steps away from the road. There are picnic tables in the area and most of all the water is COLD :) so perfect for a warm day. There is not much life in the ponds but there... More

This is a place to snap a photo and buy a drink at one of the stands across the street. You can not swim in the falls so don't expect to cool off there.

Located right by the main road so its easy to find. The waterfalls itself is amazing but not much else to see. There is a man made pool area to swim in but we didn't try it. Locals were very helpful though.

Great place for refreshing swim on hot day. Helpful people. And the best mango I have ever tasted. Very close to road so no hiking. Just a few steps to pools

No one can miss this place. When going to Puerto Galera, the Tamaraw Falls is the first stop to take pictures. If you have more time you can tai a dip for only 30 pesos per person.

Hope they will improve this place. There was not a lot of choices for food. The place needs maintenance. The locals we met there were hospitable and accommodating. Not much to do and see in this place however.

Waterfall was nice but you can not go right under the waterfall as somewhere else and there was a lot of people around. It was disapointed.

Aside from the white and fine sand beach of Puerto Galera, its also one of their famous attraction. which is a good stop after enjoying the beach. Water cascading from the falls is cold which really invites our senses to swim during our visit,(that's mid-summer). Concretes are formed to create a pool- like area for kids and adults. Cottages and... More

We rented an atv/quad to get here and to the light house, it's long and tiring drive but it's worth it when we saw the falls and swim, of course lots of pictures. The water is really cold but refreshing
