My weekend was great because we decided to stay in this hotel in Puerto Galera. This part of the beach was quiet. It didn't have much activities. You would have to go to a different beach to witness fire dancing, to buy souvenirs, to buy different kinds of food. It's a good thing for me though because you'd get the chance to stroll by the shore to get where all the activities were. Though water activities are already available in their beach like snorkeling, parasailing, banana boating, etc. We stayed at a hotel room at the 4th fl so the view was really nice. The room was nice though it wasn't very cold eventhough there was an aircon. It already had basic toiletries like towel, tissue papers and soaps. The heater of the shower works as well. The pool wasn't non-swimmer friendly. They had children's pool but the most shallow for the adult pool I think was 5 ft. It was approximate since it didn't have any label on how deep the water was. There restaurant served good breakfast. All in all, if you like peace, non-crowded, quiet stay in PG and you're really not into night life, this hotel is recommended for you.

Quiet, not too crowded, beautiful beach. Prefer this area much more than White Beach. Felt like I had the beach to myself.

Book well in advance. We couldn't get rooms here booking 4 months in advance for Christmas holiday. We did use EACY dive school which was fabulous and based right at the resort. So we used the resort during a couple of days of our kids taking dive lessons. The food was really good, the beachfront area very nice. We wished we could have stayed at this resort. The beach right in front is better than the beach right in front of Sunset resort next door. The pool is nice. Quite narrow for a lot of swimming and games. The sand is nice but the rocky entrance was a lot wider and harder to get across than on White Beach. And a lot more rocks past the rocky entrance to watch out for once you are in the water. Not as ideal for kids. Definitely quieter than White beach. It's pretty, but I actually found White beach as a whole, a prettier beach. If we returned to this area we would definitely try to stay at this resort!

A wonderful relaxing and cozy beach. I really enjoyed this beach as it was not so commercialized and lacked the vendor overkill like white beach. Just enjoyed the swimming and relaxing beach life.

Just adjacent to Aninuan Beach, Tamaraw beach is a mixture of sand and pebbles.
It's very peaceful and I saw only 2 hotels in this beach.
One can also reach White Beach after traversing the rocky area that separates it from White Beach.

More quieter, relax getaway, lesser people
Thus, if you're looking for non-party type of beach, this one is better than white beach.

We stayed at the Tamaraw Beach Resort and the Tamaraw Beach was easily accessible to us. It's good for taking photos. The water was cool and clean but it's not for swimming. There are many stones on the shore unlike in the nearby White Beach. At one point, my friend even got a cut from one of the stones lining the shore. So we preferred to just trek to the White Beach which was actually very close but the way there is treacherous. We had to make our way through big rocks and boulders on the side of a cliff. It's cool for those adventurous at heart but I wouldn't recommend it for middle-aged people or older people. There are tricycles right outside the resort which would take you to the White Beach for a minimum of P100 depending on how many you are. Better be safe than sorry.

Tamaraw Beach and Tamaraw Beach Resort is low-key and a great place to relax. They also have a nice restaurant and will serve you on the beach.

One of the cleaner Philippine beaches I have been to. Places to sit and water clean. Seems weird to pay to go to the beach and the beach "closes"at 5 pm

When I was there no hawkers so it was a brilliant relaxing place to go and much preferred it to white beach as it was so chilled and relaxed. If you are planning on staying at a swimming beach - I would recommend here rather than white beach.
