You should go here, if you like silver! Its a bit away from the normal tourist area and is not that much to see. But it is cheap shopping, silver and a bit of the local culture.

Yogyakarta is very beautiful, yet is not just in the center of the city. I advise you to explore other region, such as Kotagede. This is one of great spot to explore culture and heritage of Yogyakarta. Many people called this region as "silver spot"...More

If you like silver jewelry, and silver art, this is the place! They usually give tourists 20% off (Ansor's) but some places give you 25% (HS) or even 35% (Narti's). I'd highly recommend going to HS for the tour of the silversmithy!
