We often host overseas visitors in Indonesia and we take them to ViaVia Jogja everytime. Our favourite courses are the Silver Making course (we've done this four times now) and the biking tour of local sites. Our visitors appreciate the easy organisation, the variety and the value.

Really nice tour- much more interesting then I thought at first :) Our guide Tina was wonderful- she told us so much about the different little factories, we could taste some kroepoek and lempur, it was a nice little getaway from the city!

The finest indonesian and Western foods, served by friendly staff, is Yogya's top quality venue. If you are lucky, you can eat your dinner with jazz accompaniment. Inside, you will find meals, handcraft souvenirs, camping equipment and yoga courses. Even if you have children, they can play in children's garden while you are eating.

Signed up for the culinary tour at the last minute. My rider was reza , very good in English and very well versed in the jogja food cuisine. Highly recommended to try . was fun and had so much to offer. I was totally full and the food was amazing. 10 thumbs up !!!!

Cooking class with Made was amazing. I DO agree that the book they sell ( that she wrote) should mention her name - which it doesn't. Seems very unfair from ViaVia in my opinion! She is a great cook and an amazing person. The food is good and not too expensive - I even had the Broodje Smos ( typical... More

We did the tours 'Local village by bicycle' and 'Culinary tour' with Viavia tours. Both tours were absolutely amazing and in our opinion, just as much a 'must-see' as the classic Borobudur and Prambanan visits. If you have to choose and are limited in time in Yogya, we recommend everybody to choose one between Prambanan and Borobudur, and do the... More

Yogya can be very hot but the walk through the backstreets and neighbourhoods hugging the Kali river (or, 'cho-day') is easily paced and it's nice to have structure to a walk that you could do by yourself but would miss out on alot of detail if you did. Please heed ViaVia's recommendations about dress for this tour and for Yogyakarta... More

We booked 3 tours with ViaVia. The first was a cycling tour to the temples of Prambanan. Our guide was Fio and she was really nice :) As we are used to cycling in busy traffic, we made our way through the city easily (but might be more challenging for non-cyclists). We stopped a few times to take a rest... More

I took ViaVia's culinary tour today and it was great! It's so much fun to travel on the back of a scooter and visit really interesting places around Jogya. My driver/guide Norman was fantastic; she was a great driver and very knowledgeable about food. We visited several spots of which the cookie factory was my favorite. Tried lots of great... More

We visited the villages near Yogjakarta by bike, with Fifi as our guide. The bycicles were very basic but good enough. It was a beautiful tour with stops at a family producing krupuk, one producing tempe, and we also followed the entire rice harvesting process. We even planted some rice ourselves. Recommended for people who prefer nature over city and... More
