It's a beautiful cultural complex. The collection in the museum is dedicated to Javanese culture. The restaurant also serves Javanese dishes as well as juices. You can walk around the bungalows set in a beautiful garden and dip in the swimming pool as well, even if you don't stay in the hotel.

A beautiful group of buildings in a beautiful setting. The colection of the museum is not too big but quite nice: Gamelan, kris, furnitures, wayang puppets. There are two galleries on the two sides with temporary exhibitions. There is a bigger restaurant with nice Javanese food and a smaller, a so-called Ankringan with simplier Javanese food. You can use the... More

We went here for brunch for it was very well recommended in the Lonely Planet. Although we didn't get any of the exotic stuff that we'd been told about, the dishes we tried were delicious. The ambience is nice too, just needs to be less hot—maybe some fans would be nice. The service was courteous—the place is a little way... More

It is located outside the city of Yogyakarta, where you can have a peaceful gateaway far from noise & hectic life and you can spend most of your times here to enjoy nature, nearby local craftsmanships & local foods. This place is actually a resort with around 8 - 10 cottages, different sizes, facilities & prices. It also facilitates with... More

long time not to Tembi and I do not know what it's like now. first when I get there, there was an earthquake warning event Jogja. a very nice and comfortable in my opinion. there is a gallery of paintings, open garden and verandah at the front. very nice because it's convenient once. I am happy ever come there.

Kopi joss is highly recommended. It's basically an original coffee with coal put inside your glass. The museum is heaven for those who appreciate history and traditional stuffs, as you will find old stuffs ranging from books... More

Tembi rumah budaya is a very nice place to visit. There is a museum showing a bit about Indonesia's history and culture. You can learn more about Indonesia's traditional clothing, toys and furniture. Tembi is also a homestay. They have traditional Javanese huts where you can stay and when you are feeling hot, they have a nice and cool swimming... More

Good menu that is supposedly based on the ancient Serat Centhini recipes with local herbs and produce :) had lunch and dinner here several times and enjoyed each of them. Menu changes regularly but some of the staples such as rawon and pecel is a standby.

Been there again after a couple years. Still got a magnificent view and atmosphere. I was just eating at their restaurant (not stayed at the cottage) but it was still great. Lot of photo spots and great food also. Unfortunately they're running out of ice at the moment so we can't order their ice menu..
