Cost only idr 30K, but the experience is priceless. They have many historical collection such as sculpture, painting, batik, letters, and many more. We will not be amazed cluelessly, because they provide a guide who will go along the visitors in group and explain everything about the collection. We cannot take picture inside the museum where the ancient and valuable... More

Not only did we enjoy the exhibits, the food at the Beukenhof restaurant was fantastic! Try the lasagne and French onion soup. Great!

The tour guide speaks really fast perhaps due to number of visitors. I am surprised that Jogjakarta has a privately owned museum but supported by Jogjakarta monarchy. You can learn glimpse of Java history in a fun way. Don't forget to try the Restaurant😊

This is a private museum with a tour guide provided to explain each of paintings, photos and many things related to the royal family of Kesultanan Yogyakarta. They provided an English-speaking tour guide if you need one. However, please notice that you may not take any photograph in most places. There are only 2 areas allowed to take a picture.... More

This central javanese royalty dynasty museum is just amazing. It's like a wonderful maze, a mix of secret gardens, courtyards, and galleries, some of them underground. It is one of the easiest place to get to know about Javanese kingdoms and it's majestic way of life of it's princes and princesses.

Went here with a big group. If you love history about the royal family and you wanna know about the philosophy behind the javanese culture (dances, batik, wedding) you should definitely visit this museum. One thing you should pay attention to, you cannot take picture inside the museum.

This is a private museum lovingly managed by someone who loves the royal family/families in the area. It's Rp50k for foreigners and Rp30k for locals but that fee includes a guide in English or Bahasa. Because there is a steady stream of visitors, the guides appear when there are enough visitors to have a small group, which in my case... More
