I've tried numerous spas in Jakarta and this is definitely the best! As someone who either gets ticklish or experiences pain from a massage, finally I have found a place where I can truly relax and enjoy the treatments. Great price, clean place, and amazing massage. I can't wait to go back for another visit.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your body massage and find our facilities and atmosphere to your liking. Because we are a small establishment, many times we can cater to specific individual needs. Many of our customers have commented that it is like having your own private spa.

I've been to so many spa places in South Jakarta in the search for that perfect balance, so I'm happy to say that I've finally found it! I tried the Signature Rejuvenation Package and modified it to include sauna + 1.5 hours of massage + facial massage + face & body scrub + jacuzzi (didn't go for the body mask). All for 550k!
This place is CLEAN, has adequate lighting (not too dark), and full of peaceful music. There were only 2 therapists: Sumi and Tuti, so they couldn't take more than 2 customers every time, which made me feel like I had the place for myself. You can tell it's a well-managed spa when the therapists have worked there for 6 years and are very happy with their work. Happy employees -> superb services -> happy customers!
Aside from massage, I'd highly recommend the jacuzzi for that 5 stars experience....without the price ;) Sumi also voluntarily blow-dried my hair while I was just asking her for a hair dryer. Talk about going the extra mile.
Unfortunately, this place is going to be closed after June 1st. I'm so sad especially since I've just found a place I've been looking for!! Please consider to open this place for a long time :) :)

Air Cawan is such a gem in chaotic Jakarta. I found it thru google reviews and tried pretty much all types of their services over the two weeks I stayed in Jakarta. I first came in for a quick wash and blow for my hair. That was really nice as I went back to work after the appointment with beautifully blow dried hair. 45000 rupiah for that. I also tried their signature massage with sumi, that had to be one of the best massages I’ve had all over the world. I got more high end and pricier massages in Bali and they places but sumi is just a master masseuse. Don’t miss a massage appointment with her. 180K for an hour. I also tried the body mask, body scrub, facial and even the very interesting things on the menu. Everything was such a treat! Tip: you can email to make an appointment and the manager Irma can give you her WhatsApp for easy communication. It’s no Burke Williams in terms of the atmosphere and yes there is a mosque next door (so? You’re in Jakarta!) but the service is just impeccable and the massage is spectacular. They only open till 7pm, otherwise I’d be getting a 4 hour massage every night after work....

We are thrilled that you are enjoyed your treatments and were able to try a wide range of our services during your short time in Jakarta. We do hope that you also tried our signature or relaxing massage combined with our facial massage, the perfect combination to sweep you off to dreamland.
We do normally close at 7pm, and we take last orders for packages at 4pm, ala carte 5pm, however if you do have a time constraint send us an email or give us a call in advance, we might be able to accommodate you. We have a regular customer who in the past occasionally needed a treatment at 8am before heading off to work and we were happy that we could so.
It was a pleasure having you as our guest and we do hope to see you again on your next business trip in Jakarta.

i knew this place when i read some good reviews from clients. many people says that massage was good and something like that but for me its just a standard one with just a little bit pressure on the point of your body. but one of all, please manage for the hospitality, miss sumi was listened to the earphone while i talk to her, its kind of your service? she answered me with no warm heart, no smile and she keep looking to her phone. thanks for give me the "good" service.

I'm back for a facial routine at Air Cawan Spa. Been here since 2014..
Love this spa becoz they have a great teraphist, i love the welcome tea, love the atmosphere .. the music and the scence are calming..
And why i love their spa? They gave me more treatment then only clean up my sebum.. they gave me face massage.. neck massage and head also.. I feel not only clean but also refresh..

Aromatherapy massage is exactly the same as signature massage!
Therapist is not happy if you don't give them tips! Won't give you water after massage, or show you to the door. No polite manager at all, considering this is voted as the number 1 massage place.
I tried to make a 4-5 hour massage session, the receptionist said that they are fully booked. It turned out there's no one except me when I showed up for a 2.5 hour aromatherapy massage + body scrub + mask + facial.
I went there for two days straight, and I didn't see anybody but two therapists. All rooms are empty. However the receptionist kept telling you it's fully booked, and people book three days in advance!
Don't be fooled by TripAdvisor reviews. I think it's getting more and more unreliable.

We are sorry that you were very disappointed with your experience at Air Cawan Spa. Please allow us to clarify and address your concerns.
Our aromatherapy massage and signature massage use different techniques and massage oils. Our signature massage is a deep tissue massage using nutmeg based oil, starting at the feet. Our aromatherapy massage uses a ginger tea based oil and starts at the abdomen. The massage technique is different to accomplish its purpose. Of course the pressure applied depends on the preference of the customer.
We always offer a welcome tea. If any of our guests at any point of time during or after treatment ask for more tea or water, we would be very happy to oblige. Unfortunately, I am Irma as a manager, at that time was not on duty during the time of both of your visits. I would have been happy to attend to your needs. And it is standard procedure to be seen to the door, we are sorry if you feel that we did not comply. Tipping is not expected, but appreciated by our therapists. We will address your concern on these matters with our manager and therapists, as we strive to provide exceptional service to all of our customers.
We deeply apologize if we were not able to accommodate you for a 4-5 hour session on your first visit, we already had bookings for 6 pm following your treatment and because we only have 2 therapists, although we have 4 massage rooms, we can only take in 2 customers at a time. Additionally, we do need time in between customers for cleaning, thus we usually book customers with sufficient time in between. As a result, many of our customers do not meet each other, and consequently enhances the feeling of privacy which our customers often value. Many of our customers comment that it is like having your own private spa.
We are glad that you enjoyed your massage, so much that you immediately booked another session on the following day. We do hope that we have the opportunity of seeing you again soon.

Don't let the "females only" sign fool you, the massages here are of top quality and pack quite a punch! Booked in for a microdermabrasion facial and relaxing aromatherapy massage (60m) and it was the best decision I've made since arriving in Jakarta! Air cawan spa has a soothing atmosphere and a hygienic space with friendly and accommodating staff to suit your every need. As an Australian with basic language skills, it was more than easy to communicate with them. I was reluctant after my previous spa/salon service in Indonesia but I give nothing but two thumbs up for the wonderful afternoon I have just experienced. Not to mention prices are more than reasonable! This day spa will definitely give those 5 star hotels a run for their money thanks to their service. Come check it out, I know I'll definitely be going back! Thank you, S.

Highly recommended!!!
Was late for our spa appointment for quite sometime due to traffic jam. Surprising the therapies waited for us without complaining. On top of that, they still rang us up to ensure that we are approaching the right direction since this is our first trip to JKT.
Therapies were fantastic, my friend and I were completely blown away by their skills. Interior environment was peace and calming upon stepped in. Was given a welcome drink, tasted aromatic and feel calming when down with it. Before starting my session, my therapy was nice to ask if there was any specific points that I would her to focus on. After which she patiently apply her skills when doing my session and guess what... I fell asleep even though opposite there was a mosque doing their evening prayers loud and clear.
Before we bid, their person-in-charge even gave us a little sweet gesture gift for patronizing their spa parlor. And we suggested to her to expand her business to somewhere nearer in town.
Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and I def. will be back here if gotten a chance to land in JKT city again. Kudos (thumbs up)

After reading all the good reviews I decided to try out this place. I am a fervent massage go-er and no week passes without endulging myself.
The place is a very small operation (2 nice ladies when I was there) with friendly and attentive service. The place is clean and simple in decoration. The massage started off very well and the technique was professional and very enjoyable. However, halfway in, it was prayer time and the Mosque nextdoor started calling for prayer. The sound was excessively loud and overpowered completely the relaxing music that was playing at the spa. Unfortunately in Indonesia the loudspeakers also broadcast the full prayer/sermon/discussions at maximum decibels. It was impossible to relax, even though the room had no window, it was like the loudspeakers were directly in the room. It went on for more almost an hour, even after the treatment whenI left, it was still ongoing and when I passed the mosque, barely 10 people were inside...
It is a petty, because the treatment is nice, the staff is very nice, but for me a massage must be relaxing in a quiet environment, and with such high decibels, it is impossible to do so.

Our apologies for this very late response. We are pleased that you found our humble spa and staff pleasing and attentive in its service. And that the massage was professional and enjoyable.
We utterly regret the inconvenience you experienced when the nearby mosque had an unannounced event. Since then we have tried to further block outside noise from entering the spa and kindly advice customers beforehand of the possibility of disturbance from the mosque if they book a session during the prayer times so that they may consider a different time slot.
We highly appreciate your feedback and hope our subsequent efforts will ensure a more pleasurable experience for all of our guests. It was a pleasure having you as our guest and we do hope that you will visit us again.
