Volcano, Local Village, Hot Spring and Tea Plantation Tour from Jakarta

16 reviews
Visit Tangkuban Parahu Volcano which is still active, that you can see the crater closely, smell sulfur and see a puff of smoke from the crater of Tangkuban Parahu Volcano. On the way to volcano, you will pass through a vast expanse of tea plantations and we will pass the local village with a vast expanse of rice fields around it. You can see the activities of farmers planting and plowing rice fields and even harvesting rice in the fields. Before returning to Jakarta, do not miss to relax and soaking in a hot spring whose water comes from the crater of Tangkuban Parahu Vulcano, after that try to explore Fruit Market and try fresh local fruit such as : the Mangostins & Honey Pineapples.

A wonderful centre for spirituality, peace, communal harmony, social get togethers, awesome Punjabi food and learning, the Sikh Temple is one of the oldest Sikh Gurdwara in Jawa. Started in mid 1950s, the Sikh Gurdwara has not only two well maintained, spacious, air-conditioned prayer halls but also well segmented, spacious and well maintained langar (community kitchen) hall where Buffet is laid every morning for the devout, needy and visitors. Quality of food in the Buffet is awesome and it invariably has a vegetables preparation, daal or pulses, chapati, rice, sweet dish, pickles and a couple of other dishes, all made at ultra modern kitchen of the temple. It also runs special devotional song and Gurbani recitation classes besides classes in Punjabi language. The prayer halls and langar hall are also used for social functions, including weddings, and also for holding special prayer meetings. All Sikh festivals are celebrated with traditional fervour and gaiety. No donations are solicited. Only offerings by Sikh, Punjabi and Sindhi families help finance and run this temple that holds meditation and spiritual assemblies every morning and evening.

Ultimate peace can be felt immediately you enter into the Gurudwara. When you bow infront of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, you always feel blessed and not only that, common free kitchen which runs daily as it runs in Gurdwaras worldwide. Wahe Guru ji ka khalsa, wahe Guru ji ki Fateh.

Been here loads of times for weddings, funerals, basically special occasions. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are nicely decorated. The food is also delicious! That being said, it lacks the maintenance it deserves. Your feet are guaranteed to be blackened with dirt and dust by the time you walk out. Truly is a special place. Would highly recommend for special occasions.
