A heritage mall which has lots of unique local craft and a duty-free section. Good place for last-minute souvenir shopping. Staff were friendly and not overbearing.
Nice designer ready to wear batik but easily a few million Rupiahs.
Prices are high though, a bar of chocholate which is exactly the same can cost 50k Rupiahs in Grand Indonesia Mall and cost 80k Rupiahs here. Mall looks more dated than the Grand Indonesia. Some nice and quaint eateries as well.
Overall, a tourist spot.

My wife and I have visited several times Sarinah Thamrin always for the same reasons: is one of the best places in Jakarta to buy suitable batik textiles and beautiful handcraft. We enjoyed and bought some wayang kulit and traditional Javanese puppets; my wife bought several batik clothes and towels. The mall is not contemporary, brand new, or fantastic, but has interesting shops, including for purchase delicious Toraja coffee.

This is a mid sized mall selling local handicrafts. For locals it is levels 1-4 . For tourists , it is at level 5 . Specialty coffee and souvenirs are available. But language barrier forbade with the staff . And choices are not much to be proud of , just for the sake of buying.

First Mall in Jakarta, renovated become modern nowadays. You may find beautiful and famous local brands, from food and beverages until retails and handicraft.
Recommended to find delicious local food, from Dewata served coffee and pastry until Bali Timbungan, balinese restaurant, dimsum, filosofi kopi and others.
You may find local dessert called Sari sari in Underground level, next to food court and supermarket.
Recommended place to visit.

Excellently placed on the crossroads from Starbucks and other famous eateries! This mall is for all stuff local but high class and not your run of the mill clothes/ jewelleries/ bags/ footwear everything one needs to shop! Sarinha has it all with food and clothes and lots of cafes! A great place to sit around and chat with friends while u can see a he busy traffic go by from inside the cafes. Good quality stuff in this mall

I remember on our last visit to Jakarta 5 years ago this is the place where you can find budget souvenir from all over Indonesia. After the renovation 2 years ago we decided to stop there in August 2023, long be hold its the most expensive place to ger souvenir. In our last visit 5 years ago tourist are swarmed here. Not anymore. The prices are ridiculously expensive. For example we went to the closes Market or "pasar" in Thamrin area the price for a batic shirt was about $10, the same Batik Brand cost $150 at Sarinah, more than 150% higher. Even in Yogya the price of Batik is slightly cheaper about $8 compared to the Price in Sarinah.
I don't recommended people go to this place, Better go to Thamrin City for batik or other souvenir wich is about 10 mins ride using a tuk tuk from Sarinah

If you "trapped" in Jakarta and want to buy Indonesian specialty souvenirs, try this place. I has 1 storey completed with Indonesian batik, sculptures, paints, silvers, ceramic, wayang and others traditional arts, mostly of Java, tough. But it not has them only, it has modern fashions and clothes for man women and children also. Surrounded by known restaurants such as McDonald, Dunkin, KFC, Krispy Creme, Starbucks, and with a short walk distance, you could reach Bakmi GM, famous for its chicken noddle and fried dumpling. Located in central of major street, which where big five star hotels and malls exist.

I didn't enjoy Jakarta and I was really sad for not being able to find any gift for my family. But then i found this place. Go to the fifth floor and you will find lot of stuff from all around Indonesia. You will find scultures, batik, bags, jewels. Everything you need to buy for your family and friends.

Our guide took us here since we had limited time. The mall is quite big but for souvenirs there is a dedicated floor. All kinds of articles are available. Found pricing also reasonable. Staff also is very courteous and helpful.
