Came here on a hot day and didn’t spend too long. The monument looks great, but the signs which point to the entrance to it are very confusing, with many of them seeming to contradict one another, so we didn’t even bother.

The National Monument lends itself easily to photography, along with people watching. It can be a popular location, so beat to visit during weekdays. Free entry for all.

It's beautiful at night. The surrounding is clean and well kept. Conveniently located and very accessible by busway. It's very humid on hot days.

If you wait for the little transportation bus they have when you enter; it will take you directly to where you have to enter. Great place to go to see and read about Indonesian history and it's struggle for independence.
