Went here for the so-called fish market / restaurant. Then found we had to pay to get in to the park - and the restaurant is clearly as casual as it gets - and very expensive. If you want a large crab or lobster figure...More

My company had a corporate event at Dunia Fantasi Theme Park. It was hot, but the guest enjoyed it much. If you're visiting to enjoy the ride, make sure you come early. Usually it gets crowded in the noon.

This place used to be the place to go whenever a Jakartan is missing the sea breeze, the beach, and the wave. A nice seaside picnic. Nowadays due to land reclamation, the natural beach and the wave is gone. only man made beach available. the...More

Would be great for families with little kids, but a bit boring for teenagers and older (when we went, most rides were closed). Overall would be a great place when fully open

Just answering based on memory. It should close around 6, cause I remember it doesn't open at night. You don't have to pay for the entrance fee in the morning, but there was some toll or parking fee for the vehicle.

Kidzania or Ancol Dreamland? (12 Replies)
Hi all I'll be in Bandung on the 24th till 28th Oct. Will be spending 5 days there but only 1 daytrip to Jakarta (which is on the 25th). Leaving Bandung early in the morning & back in the night. Due to very limited time there, I only want to entertain my kids (age 6 & 4) but it get me confused to choose either Kidzania or Ancol Dreamland. Could you guys help me on that or maybe should I amend my itinerary? Thanks in advance :)

At Kidzania, you will enter the premises according to the timeslot. On Monday-Thursday, there are 2 packages: 1. From 9AM to 4PM 2. From 11AM to 4PM A visit to Kidzania will be more convenient; you can leave the kids there whilst the older can go shopping (or window-shopping) at the mall. But if your kids prefer outdoor activities, Ancol might be to your liking. But you need to choose which place to go; either the theme park, the SeaWorld, the waterpark, or the marine wildlife center...More
Ancol Dreamland + Puncak (8 Replies)
Hi, 1) I am planning to head down to Ancol Dreamland this weekends probably on a sat or sunday. <which day is better?> However, i am confused with all the price tickets listed at their website. This is because i am only interested in the Dunia Fantasia amusement rides and the sea world attractions. So is there any special package/price/ticket for a day that allows me to enjoy both places at one time? If there is, how much will it cost per person? what is TIJA? 2) I visited a...More

1/ first of all...no need to spread all details of ONE travel across the forum - too little butter for too much bread. YOu can discuss all related matters within the brackets of one topic. 2/ <<o is there any special package/price/ticket for a day that allows me to enjoy both places at one time? >> No, Dufan and SeaWorld are run as separate venues and have different tickets. You have to purchase it also separately. 3/ <<However, i also read in this forums that many people refer...More

Prasanna: I would try to fly directly to Jogja from your landing in Jakarta, or better yet, fly directly to Jogja with the stop in Jakarta. Traffic in Jakarta is really terrible and your very short trip of 4 nights would be short even just to visit Jogja alone. Since you want to see historial temples Jogja would be an overall better experience. The National Museum in Jakarta does have some nice exhibis but it's really the only thing that might interest you. Plus it's not as comprehensive...More
