Pasaraya was once the "go-to" place for Indonesian handicrafts in Jakarta, but it has gotten rather tired and boring. The displays are no longer creative. Been going here for 17 years, really enjoyed it up to when renovation began. Some stores/restaurants have been added, but Pasaraya Grande's identity as primarily a large department store with a basement food court is being altered with the addition of these outlets... and a very good money changer that used to be located on the batik floor is gone, sad to say. At least a few more months of this transitional chaos will likely be required, but the batik floor and some other highlights still merit a visit if making the way there is not too inconvenient.…

Pasaraya is one of the first generation mall within Block M area. Can be very quier most of the time, but that's make my shopping journey much more peaceful. The most appealing in this mall are the massive choices of indonesian natik and also the handicraft from all over indonesia. I love the local artist paintings on sales there. Price wise for all are on the higher side, but for the incnveniences of finding everything under one roof makes it acceptable. Other than that, you can find a wide floors of departmental store which does not realy carry up to date fashion trend. Quite a few of restaurant and cafes around, plus decent choices of indonesia culinary on the underground floor food arena. There is transmart hypermarket attached to the mall too if you need to find groceries or household products. …

Huge shopping area for Indonesian goods but sadly, it was like a ghost town as only a handful of people were there on a Saturday afternoon. There were many vacant areas, lots of dusty items, and boxes of goods that appeared ready to be transferred to another location. Not conducive to shopping.…
