Volcano, Local Village, Hot Spring and Tea Plantation Tour from Jakarta

15 reviews
Visit Tangkuban Parahu Volcano which is still active, that you can see the crater closely, smell sulfur and see a puff of smoke from the crater of Tangkuban Parahu Volcano. On the way to volcano, you will pass through a vast expanse of tea plantations and we will pass the local village with a vast expanse of rice fields around it. You can see the activities of farmers planting and plowing rice fields and even harvesting rice in the fields. Before returning to Jakarta, do not miss to relax and soaking in a hot spring whose water comes from the crater of Tangkuban Parahu Vulcano, after that try to explore Fruit Market and try fresh local fruit such as : the Mangostins & Honey Pineapples.

This is a place where high quality of batiks from famous brands in Indonesia sits under one roof. Proce easily begins from IDR500k n above but u r talking abt quality here n they have up to XXL size. Size can be dependable according to the brands n some caters for larger European size ppl like me n I am only an Asian!

If you are travelling in other parts of Java, particularly Yogjakarta and to Solo, I would wait before purchasing any batik, bags, basket work, jewellery or masks etc (Solo is much better for well produced authentic chap or candi batik at reasonable prices). Prices in Alun Alun are expensive almost 5 to 10 times for some common place souvenirs, so expect to pay prices comparable with western countries. Having said that, the quality of the finished goods is better in many cases at Alun Alun. In addition we saw some lovely items here that were unique, and not seen anywhere else in Java. These one off items were artistically executed with good quality finishes, particularly the wood carvings, copper work and sculptures. So if you are looking for a special one off piece to take back home, or if you don't have an opportunity to look elsewhere, then you are bound to find something lovely to take home, just don't expect to snag any bargains.

Looking for everything Indonesia? Alun-alun offers you that. They have everything from clothing/apparel traditional as well as contemporary, household items, paintings and souvenirs, cosmetics (bath salt, lotion, soap, etc infused with tradional herbs, fruit, and wisdom) snacks, tea, coffe and other edibles (please do have Pipiltin Chocolate and flavored teas). There is even a Pipiltin cafe offering you sublime choco drinks. I went there first to hunt for 'kebaya' and ended up with chocolate, flavored teas, mango and banana lotion, and cool Sackai Bag (one of Indonesia's creation curated by Bekraf and showcased in NY Now in August 2018). It is well worth a visit. You can have just about everything Indonesia in one place.
