Went here last week with friends and family , we had a great time!
I'll share you my tips :

TRY TO BOOK via travel agent or groupon or tokopedia to get cheaper entrance fee ( usually it's 200K something , I got 78k / person from tokopedia )

keep in mind that :
-THEY DONT ALLOW FOOD FROM OUTSIDE
Dont even think about it, they're super strict about this. ( tried to snuck some in but got caught red handed , lol )
So if you want to bring food, keep it in your car and go out if you want to have lunch / snacks at their coffee shop ( but do order some drinks here tho )
They allow you to go outside and return as long as you have the wristband in the exit door

- YOU DONT NEED TO BRING MONEY INSIDE , RENT AND TOP UP THEIR PURCHASING WRISTBAND AND KEEP YOUR WALLET INSIDE THE LOCKER
The floats are free , and you can purchase everything with a wristband that you can top up inside the area before you keep your wallet inside the locker, dont lose this and yes, you can refund the rest of the money at the exit

- THE CABANA or HUTS are not free, they charged you 200k for this ,and THE LOCKER IS 50 K / locker
My advice , if you are group of 5-10 , do rent a locker for phone or wallet , or valuable stuff, and rent a cabana for you to rest or have meals and keep your bags and towels. ( if you rent only lockers it's a bit difficult to get your towel and then go back to the pool since you gotta return the towel and stuff )

That's all I can share , enjoy your visit ! :)

Although the water park at Ancol is fun, we found Waterbom to be newer, more extensive and more fun! The staff were particularly nice and really encouraged our sometimes-timid daughter to try some of the more outrageous slides - she did, and she kept going on after that! They weren't pushy at all and were very patient and encouraging!

We found the bracelet system to be perfect as the kids could get drinks whenever they wanted without having to come to us and no-one had to carry any money around the park.

Being half blind without my prescription glasses, I did find it hard to lock those away for the day to go on all the rides and I had to get help reading the menu! But I totally get why they don't allow glasses on the rides/slides - so if you wear glasses I recommend wearing contacts and keeping your eyes shut under water - or even better, get some prescription goggles, as goggles were alowed.

There's plenty of very inexpensive food and drink and the service is excellent, with no waiting times at all on a weekday. I really recommend going during the week when it's quieter, if you can. And if there are storms about, they may close due to safety issues.

Go - you won't regret it!

I visited this place few times during school holiday and guess what.. the place always crowded with kids and family.

Its really a nice place which u can spend time with family and friends.

Don't worry if u cannot swim because this place is not for real swimming but to have fun in water attraction.

They have several rides which very interest to try even for 10 y.o kids. But the problem is since the rides are very tall so we need to use stairs which is quite tiring for some ppl. But overall is a nice place.

Please remember not to bring food and drink to this area since the security surely will check all bags. They sell food n drink in the foodcourt even the price is 2-3 times higher than outside. They are using wrist band for purchase anything inside the area, so you need to deposit some money and its refundable.

Check the credit card promo, some of the bank give 'Buy1 get1 promo'.

This place is clean and well run. There are plenty of different activities to do and the slides are super fun. I went on a Monday and there were barely lines which was nice. The price is also great if you are a local/have KITAS or are a student (and don't go on a national holiday). However, I did have an extremely unpleasant experience there. I was told that I was not allowed to wear a bikini there by my hostel (they were mistaken), so I went to the water park with shorts and a tank top over my bikini to swim in. Signs everywhere say that you have to be wearing swimwear to go in the water, so I understand that I was breaking the rules; but I felt this was unevenly enforced. Already sitting in my tube, ready to go down the slide, a male worker told me I had to take off my tank top since it was cotton. While I am Western and am quite used to wearing a bikini, I felt totally degraded being told by a man that I needed to take my clothes off, especially in a place where wearing a bikini is so taboo and will get you a lot of unwanted attention. All around me Indonesian girls were wearing regular clothes to go in the water/down the slides, but no one told them to remove their clothes because they are Muslim and that just would never fly. I argued with him, but he insisted. Begrudgingly, I took it off and wrapped it around my arm - however, whether I am wearing it or I am holding it in my hand, what is the difference?? I felt that I was targeted for breaking a rule probably half the girls there were breaking simply because I was the only bule girl at the park that day. Having cotton in the water will not harm anyone and I have every right to cover up if I want to. I hope Waterbom gives their staff more training on how to handle these types of situations.

Waterbom was a big disappointment. The entrance fee is high and for that amount of money you should expect something wonderfull. The slides were nice, but the water was green of algae and therefore plain filthy. The tiles in the swimming places were slippery because of the algae as well. The park needs renovation, everywhere were loose tiles, rust on the fences of the staires going to the slides and cracks in the stairs as well. One time visit for us and we will not recommend this place.

It's a nice place to having fun with your family or friends. There're lazy river, kids area, some waterbom slides (7 if I'm not mistaken), food court, gazebo for rent, and some games. It's pretty crowded when public holiday or weekend, but still fun to spend the day here.
But what I really don't like is there's some people who smoking freely here. Even there're some sign which told you do not smoke, but there're still people who smoking in this water park. The staffs didn't do anything and just go through pass them and not saying anything to them. Too bad it's not really free from smoke because there're so many kids around here and it's really disturbing for others who doesn't smoke.

We were told that we should go to this park as it is amazing. Having previously been to water theme parks in the Gold coast QLD, Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dels USA and our own Adventure world here in WA, I can tell you that it is nothing special. You will have to pay $265 dollars for entry, even if the parents just sit on the lounge all day. The park it self is relatively small with very few rides. Over all I wasn't too impressed.

First, the entrance ticket is quite expensive (Well, it doesn't matter as long as the place and attraction is GREAT).

Second, foods and drinks from outside aren't allowed. Even for a Soyjoy! But I think cigars are allowed.

Third, attractions are boring.

Fourth, the staff weren't that nice and friendly to the visitors.

Fifth, the area is not big.

Sixth, the water! Murky and dirty.

Conclusion: I'd never wanna go back there and will not recommend it to anyone.
